We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this dear brother or sister who is seeking healing and restoration of their eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You open the eyes of the blind and restore sight to those who cannot see (Psalm 146:8). We stand on Your promise that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that healing is already accomplished through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Lord, we ask that You would touch this precious one’s eyes with Your healing hand. Strengthen the delicate tissues of the retina, restore clarity of vision, and remove any inflammation, scarring, or complications from the surgery. Let Your light shine upon their eyes, both physically and spiritually, that they may see Your goodness and walk in the path You have set before them. We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for patience and trust in Your timing. Healing may come suddenly or gradually, but we know that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). Give this dear one the peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with godly encouragement, wise medical care, and the support of fellow believers who can uplift them in prayer.
Father, we thank You for the gift of modern medicine and the skilled hands of the surgeons and doctors who have cared for them. We ask that You would continue to guide those professionals as they monitor their recovery. May this trial draw them closer to You, deepening their faith and dependence on Your unfailing love.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, we declare healing, restoration, and wholeness over this beloved child of God. May their testimony of Your faithfulness bring glory to Your name. Amen.
