Eyesight

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this dear brother or sister who has undergone retina surgery and is seeking healing and restoration of their eyesight. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our eyes and knows every intricate detail of our bodies. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing has been provided, and we stand on Your promises for complete restoration.

Lord, Your Word says in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over this situation, believing that You are working even now to bring healing to these eyes. We also hold fast to Psalm 146:8, which declares, "Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down." Father, we ask that You open these eyes fully, removing any obstruction, weakness, or impairment so that sight may be restored in its fullness.

We pray for the surgeons and medical team involved, that You would guide their hands and give them wisdom as they continue to care for this precious child of Yours. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this one’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus as they wait on You for complete healing.

We also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to creep in during this time of recovery. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this healing is already won through the blood of Jesus, and we resist every lie that says otherwise.

If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in this one’s life, we pray that the Holy Spirit would bring it to light so it can be dealt with, for Your Word says in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed." Let nothing hinder the flow of Your healing power.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May this healing be a testimony to Your glory, drawing others closer to You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about your eyes after retina surgery. We can imagine how much you are carrying as you wait and hope for healing, and how precious and daily eyesight is.

We are joining you in asking the Lord for restored health and strength in your eyes, trusting His care for you in these days of recovery. Healing after this kind of surgery often takes time and patience, and it is understandable to feel anxious between appointments.

If it is helpful, we encourage you to stay in close touch with your surgeon and follow their aftercare instructions, and to reach out to them promptly with any new changes or concerns, alongside our prayers for you. It can also be a gift to let a family member or friend help with rides, reading, or daily tasks while your vision is still healing, so you can rest as your eyes recover.

We are holding you before the Lord now.

Father, we lift up our friend to You as they recover from retina surgery. We ask for Your healing hand on their eyes and for restored sight according to Your will. Give them peace in the waiting, wisdom for their doctors, and strength for each day. Comfort them with Your presence and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in prayer for the healing and restored health of your eyesight following retina surgery, and we thank you for trusting us to bring this need before the Lord in Jesus name.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek the physician, yet how gracious it is to know that we have a heavenly Physician whose power to heal is abundantly present. Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even the leaves, the little things about Him, are full of healing virtue. That healing flows down from Him as from a great conduit Head, with abundant streams to those below.

We pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon you with healing in His wings. As He once said to the sick of the palsy, Son be of good cheer your sins are forgiven you, so we see pardon and healing placed in happy conjunction, both bestowed by His gracious hand. We ask the Lord to let the healing virtue which His grace infuses work health and cure in your body, and to perfectly heal and restore your eyes.

We thank God for the skill He has given to surgeons and physicians, and we ask now that the Lord Himself would take you by the hand and lift you up, granting strength and recovery. May He who began a good work in you continue it, and may each increase of strength give you new cause to praise Him. We pray for complete healing of the retina, for clear sight restored, for freedom from pain and complication, and for patience and peace as you recover.

We commend you to Him who alone does the real saving and healing work. May you know His presence dwelling with you, so that you have no need to say I am sick, but rather rejoice in pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Healer, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request for prayer for your eyesight after retina surgery and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord.

We ask the Lord Jesus Christ, who came to preach deliverance to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to lay His healing hand upon you. We pray that He would bless the work that the surgeons have done, calm any inflammation, restore the retina, and grant you clear and healthy sight again. We ask that He would give wisdom to your doctors, patience to you in recovery, and protection from any further complication or infection.

We take comfort that God is the true physician, and His house is a place of healing where wounds are tended with care. As you heal, you may need to rest your eyes from bright light for a time, and in the same way we pray that the Lord would give you quietness and trust as your body recovers. Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward, but continue to bring your needs to Him with thanksgiving. When we bear what we suffer with a thankful heart, we leave all in His gracious hands, trusting that He works for our good whether He restores quickly or teaches us to wait.

So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus, have mercy and bring healing to our brother or sister who has asked for prayer. Restore health to these eyes, strengthen faith, and let this time of waiting bear fruit for Your glory. Grant peace to the heart and full recovery according to Your will. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this request and for asking for prayer for your eyes after retina surgery. We are praying for you in Jesus name for healing and for restored sight and health.

We believe strongly that God heals and that healing is for today. God is able, and every true healing is from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, and sometimes He heals gradually through a process. There is one account in the Gospels where Jesus healed a blind man gradually at Bethsaida, and it reminds us that the Lord is not confined to one pattern. At times He touched people, at other times He only spoke, at other times He healed from a distance and told someone to go home and find it done. The variety shows His freedom and power, not a formula we can control.

We also believe that the natural processes of healing that God has built into our bodies are themselves divine. He created nature and the processes of nature, so a gradual recovery after surgery is no less from His hand than a sudden touch. He can work through the skill of doctors, through the mending of tissue, and through His direct power over our bodies. As the prophet Isaiah said, surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sicknesses, which Matthew applies to Jesus healing the sick, and when Jesus broke bread He said this is my body which is broken for you. That is why we come to Him with confidence for both spiritual and physical healing, for He went about healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

At the same time there is much about healing we do not understand. We do not fully know why some are healed quickly and others more slowly, and why some prayers seem answered differently than we hope. The apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord did not remove it as he asked. So we do not presume to tell God what He must do, and we do not say that lack of healing means there is sin in a life or a lack of faith. That would be like the comforters of Job and it is not scriptural. Good people suffer illness, and suffering is not always a direct result of personal failure.

What we do know is that Jesus never turned away those who came seeking help for their sick, and healing often came as people reached out to Him in faith. The woman who had suffered for twelve years simply touched the hem of His garment, and that touch became the point where her faith was released and power went out from Him and she was healed. Faith is more than believing God can do it, it is actively trusting Him to do it and receiving from Him.

So we are asking the Lord to touch your eyes, to bless the work that has been done in surgery, to guide the ongoing healing process He has placed in your body, and to restore your eyesight fully if it be His will. We pray for clear vision, for freedom from complications, for peace in the waiting, and for strength for you and those caring for you. May you feel His presence and His healing work in body and mind, and may this be a testimony of His mercy and power.
