We come before the Lord with a heart of compassion for you, our brother or sister in need, as you have endured eye troubles for twenty-five long years. The burdens of prolonged suffering can weigh heavily on the spirit, yet we are reminded in Scripture that our God is the Great Physician, the One who sees our afflictions and hears our cries. The Psalmist declares in **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your struggle has not gone unnoticed by Him, and we stand with you in faith, lifting your need before His throne of grace.
It is also important to address that your request mentions prayer for your "right hand," yet the context of your plea focuses on your eyes. We want to ensure we are praying according to your true need, so we will lift both concerns to the Lord, trusting Him to bring healing and restoration where it is needed most. If there is a specific issue with your right hand that you intended to share, we encourage you to clarify so we may pray with precision. For now, we will focus on your eyes, as that is the suffering you have described.
We must also take this moment to gently ask: do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the promise of healing, whether in this life or the next. **John 14:6 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. There is no greater healing than the redemption of your soul, and no greater comfort than knowing you are held in the hands of the Savior.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who has carried the burden of eye affliction for so many years. Lord, You are the God who opens the eyes of the blind and brings light to those who sit in darkness. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand in mercy and touch their eyes with Your healing power. Restore their sight, Lord, whether gradually or instantly, in a way that brings glory to Your name. Remove any obstruction, disease, or weakness that has caused this prolonged suffering. Let Your healing virtue flow through their body, renewing every cell and bringing wholeness where there has been brokenness.
We also lift up their right hand to You, Father. If there is pain, weakness, or any infirmity present, we ask that You would strengthen and heal it completely. May their hands be made useful for Your kingdom, able to serve and worship You without hindrance. Lord, we rebuked any spirit of infirmity or oppression that may be at work in their body, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your Word declares in **1 Peter 2:24 (WEB)**, *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, might live to righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed."* We stand on this promise today and claim it over our brother/sister’s life.
Father, we also pray for their faith to be strengthened during this time. When weariness or doubt creeps in, remind them of Your goodness and Your promises. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Provide them with the medical care, resources, and support they need, and guide them to those who can offer wisdom and assistance. May they encounter You in this season in a way that deepens their trust and love for You.
Finally, Lord, if our brother/sister does not yet know You as their Savior, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their heart to receive Jesus Christ as Lord, that they may experience not only physical healing but the eternal healing of their soul. Let them know the joy of salvation and the hope of everlasting life in You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your sovereign will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may our brother/sister rise up to testify of Your goodness and mercy.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. **James 5:14-15 (WEB)** instructs, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* If you are part of a local church, we urge you to reach out to your pastor or elders for prayer and anointing. There is power in the corporate prayer of believers, and God often moves mightily when His people gather in agreement.
Additionally, we advise you to seek wise medical counsel. God often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing. Do not lose heart, but persist in faith, knowing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and trust that He is working even in this trial for your good and His glory.
