We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer over this painful situation with your ex.
We have continued to lift you before the Lord in these past days. We have prayed for your heart as you carry guilt over becoming involved knowing you were unequally yoked as taught in 2 Cor 6:14, and for the hurt you feel after offering so much support and friendship and yet being spoken of in a painful way to others. We have also been praying for your ex, for his health and for his salvation, that the Lord would draw him to Himself and bring him to saving faith.
We want to gently encourage you that while God calls us to repent when we disobey, and He forgives completely when we confess as promised in 1 John 1:9, His heart toward sickness is not one of punishment to harm but one of mercy and redemption. We live in a fallen world where illness is present, and God desires all to come to repentance as seen in 2 Pet 3:9. Your decision to step away out of obedience was not the cause of his illness, and we pray God will free you from false guilt and heal your broken heart as He promises in Psalm 147:3.
We also continue to pray for wisdom and protection for you. We understand you love this man deeply and see beyond the manipulation and psychological hurt you experienced to the person you believe he can be, and that you long for him to become a Christian so you could be together. We pray that God will give you clear discernment, healthy boundaries, and peace about what friendship or contact is wise going forward, and that He will guard your heart and your reputation. We ask for Gods will to be done in both of your lives and that you would trust Him with the outcome even when it does not look likely that restoration together is His plan. We pray the Lord will comfort you and guide you as you seek counsel and healing in Him according to James 1:5 and Rom 8:28.
We pray together now in Jesus Name that the Father would grant you His forgiveness and peace that passes understanding, that He would touch your ex with healing according to His will and above all bring him to salvation through Jesus Christ, that He would silence any false narrative and let truth prevail, and that He would lead you into wholeness and into the godly relationships He has for your future.
If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
