Ex

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray that my abusive ex will never, ever contact me again. Please. Please also pray about him possibly trying to ruin my reputation and for my protection from any people he may enlist to help him try to harm or target me. Thank you.

We have heard your cry and we are bringing you before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name, asking for God's protection and peace to surround you. We grieve that you have endured abuse, and we want you to know that God sees what you have suffered, He does not condone abuse, and He is your refuge and defender. The Lord is close to those who are hurting and He hates violence and oppression. We rebuke all abuse, intimidation, and any scheme to harm you or to damage your reputation, for such things are evil in the sight of God and call for repentance.

We are praying for your complete protection, for a firm boundary that your abusive ex will not contact you again, and for God to thwart any plan to enlist others to target or harm you. We take comfort in what Scripture promises, that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants Isaiah 54:17. We also remember that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and that the name of Yahweh is a strong tower, the righteous run to him, and are safe Proverbs 18:10.

We pray that God will guard your reputation and cause truth to prevail. When others may be stirred up to gossip, harass, or harm, we ask God to expose lies, to silence false accusations, and to surround you with trustworthy people who will speak truth and stand with you. We ask Him to give you wisdom to set and maintain firm boundaries, to document any contact or threats, and to seek help from godly counsel, trusted family or church leaders, and from proper authorities if needed for your safety. Do not be afraid or feel shame for seeking protection, for God has called us to live in peace and safety. We also leave justice in God's hands while taking wise steps on earth, for it is written, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. You do not need to face this alone and you are not required to reconcile or remain in contact with one who has abused you.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name matters so deeply to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name for salvation, healing, and daily refuge.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to place Your hedge of protection around her, to keep her safe in her home, at work, and wherever she goes. Lord, we ask that You stop every attempt of this ex to contact her, to harass her, or to harm her in any way, and that You block any person he might try to enlist to target her. Expose every lie and scheme to ruin her reputation, and let truth and justice prevail. Give her Your perfect peace that surpasses understanding, heal the wounds left by abuse, and restore her strength and joy. Provide her with wise, godly support and with authorities who will protect her, and give her clear wisdom for every decision and boundary. We also pray for this man, that You would convict him of his sin, bring him to repentance, and cause him to turn from violence and evil and seek You. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our refuge and deliverer. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, to stay in the Word daily, and to keep no contact as you have wisely desired, while staying connected to safe community. Do not be afraid, for God says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We are continuing to pray for your safety, your peace, and your complete restoration in Christ.

We hear how frightening it is to live with worry that your ex might reach out again, try to damage your reputation, or involve others. It makes sense you would feel on edge and want clear boundaries and protection. We are praying with you for peace, safety and wisdom in each step ahead.

It can help to have a few steady supports in place alongside prayer. If you can, consider sharing what is happening with one trusted person who can stay aware with you, keeping a simple record of any unwanted contact, and reviewing your phone and social media privacy settings. A local advocate or counselor can also help you think through a personal safety plan and options in your area, we encourage reaching out to one in addition to prayer.

Father in Jesus name we lift our sister to You. Surround her with Your protection, guard her reputation and daily life and keep her safe from harm. Give her wisdom, steady support around her and deep peace as she walks forward. Lead her to the right help and keep her close to You. Amen.

Your cry has been heard and it has moved our hearts to bring you before the throne of grace. To be hunted by fear, to dread the voice and the hand of one who has done you harm, and to fear the tongue of slander and the malice of others, is a heavy trial indeed, and we do not make light of it.

Be of good comfort, for He calls you still. The same Saviour who heard Bartimaeus by the wayside hears the anxious sinner and the afflicted saint tonight. There is balm in Gilead, but it is found nowhere except at Calvary, and to Christ Jesus Himself we point you as your refuge and hiding place. He knows what it is to be slandered, to be plotted against, and to be beset by cruel hands, and He is able to keep you.

We take comfort from the word of the Lord by Hosea, I will ransom them from the power of the grave, I will redeem them from death. If God will raise the body from the sepulcher, shall He not also deliver His child from slander, from depression of spirit, from the pit of trouble when you are ready to perish. He that will bring your body from the grave will lift you up from the pit of present trouble. The Angel who has redeemed you from death will redeem you from all evil. What is too hard for omnipotence. If He can raise Job from his dunghill and from his grave, He can restrain the hand of the violent and silence the lying tongue.

We will pray for you, and we ask the Lord to do these things according to His mercy and wisdom.

We pray that the Lord in His providence would set a hedge about you, that He would restrain your former companion from contacting you again, and that every attempt to pursue, harass, or harm you would be turned aside. We pray that the Lord would guard your name and reputation, that slander would fall to the ground and not take root, and that those who might be enlisted to do you harm would have no power to prosper against you, for no weapon that is formed against His people shall finally prevail.

We pray also that you may be kept in safety and in holiness. The Psalmist said, I kept myself from my iniquity, and the true path of safety is to pray and believe against all sin and to come out from among the unclean thing and touch it not. You have no business to be in that place where it becomes necessary that you should sin or suffer sin against you. That necessity should warn you not to go there. We exhort you therefore to remain separate, to seek the wise and godly counsel of your pastors and elders, and to make use of every lawful and prudent means of protection which providence affords, whether in the church, in the family, or by those appointed to keep the peace and to restrain evil.

And we pray that the Lord Himself would be your shelter from past guilt and present fear. You have been broken by unkindness, and therefore you are fearful, but there is a shelter for you in Christ. May He quiet your heart, heal your wounds by His own stripes, give you sweet peace of conscience, and restore you day by day until you know that you are kept not by your own strength but by a stronger arm and a mightier power than any mortal one. He that has begun a good work in you will carry it on.

We commend you to Him who delights to work the work of our deliverance.

O Lord our God, in whom is the salvation of Israel, look upon this Thy servant in her distress. Cover her with Thy wings, keep her as the apple of Thine eye, and hide her under the shadow of Thy hand. Restrain the violent, expose the lie, and let truth and righteousness guard her going out and her coming in. Give her wisdom to walk in safety, friends to stand beside her, and faith to trust Thee when troubles seem as if they would slay her. Let her hear Thy voice saying, Be of good comfort, rise, He calls thee, and may she find in Christ her peace, her protector, and her everlasting portion. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we are lifting you up before the Lord with care and seriousness. What you have endured is not light in his eyes, and he is a refuge for those who are harmed and a defender of those who are mistreated.

We are praying that God will keep you safe and grant you peace. We ask him to prevent any unwanted contact and to put a firm boundary where it is needed, so that you may live without fear or harassment. We pray that he will guard your name and reputation, that any attempt to spread lies or to turn others against you would fail, and that the truth would be made clear. We pray also for protection from anyone who might be enlisted to harm or target you, that their plans would be stopped and come to nothing.

We pray that the Lord will surround you with trustworthy people who will support you, listen to you, and help protect you, and that you will have wisdom to set and keep healthy boundaries. If you are in danger, please continue to reach out to safe and trusted people in your life, to wise counsel in the church, and to the proper authorities who can help provide protection. You do not have to carry this alone.

We also pray for your healing, that God would bring comfort to the places where abuse has left wounds, and restore your strength and peace day by day through Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and hope. He sees abusive words and actions for what they are, and he calls his people to protect those who are injured and to stand with those who have been treated unjustly.

May the Lord cover you with his presence, keep you in safety, and give you rest. We will continue to pray for your protection, for justice, and for your full restoration in Christ.
