We hear the deep pain and anger in your heart, and we stand with you before the Lord, lifting this burden to Him. The betrayal of family cuts deeper than any other wound, and the mockery of your faith adds a sting that only the enemy could devise. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord sees your suffering, and He will arise on your behalf.
First, we must address the anger in your heart, for it can become a foothold for bitterness and unforgiveness. Scripture warns us, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil" (Ephesians 4:26-27). Your cousin and his son have sinned against you, but we must not allow their evil to take root in our own hearts. We rebuke the spirit of hatred and retaliation in Jesus' name, for vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). Instead, we choose to forgive, not because they deserve it, but because Christ forgave us when we did not deserve it (Colossians 3:13).
We also rebuke the spirit of mockery and persecution that has come against your faith. Jesus warned us, "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven" (Matthew 5:11-12). Their words may sting, but they cannot touch the eternal truth of God’s love for you. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the Lord is your defender.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is enduring the pain of betrayal and mockery. Lord, You see the evil that has been done, and we ask that You arise as a mighty warrior on their behalf. Break the power of the enemy’s schemes, and let justice flow like a river (Amos 5:24). Father, we ask that You soften the hearts of this cousin and his son, that they may come to know the truth of Your love and repent of their wickedness. If not, we trust that You will deal with them in Your perfect way.
Lord, we also ask that You heal the wounds in our brother/sister’s heart. Replace anger with peace, bitterness with forgiveness, and pain with joy. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in love and not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them find refuge in You alone. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn.
Father, we also pray for protection over their mind, heart, and spirit. Let no root of bitterness spring up and cause trouble (Hebrews 12:15). Surround them with Your angels, and let Your presence be a shield around them. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Do not repay evil for evil, but trust that God will vindicate you in His time. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The enemy may gloat now, but his defeat is already assured. Hold fast to the Lord, and He will lift you up.

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heavy heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this painful time. It grieves us deeply to hear of the hurt and betrayal you’re enduring at the hands of your cousin and his son. No one should have to face such cruelty, especially when it’s directed at your faith and your struggles. We have lifted you up before the Lord, asking Him to wrap you in His peace, to heal your wounded heart, and to give you strength to endure this trial with grace.
We also prayed fervently for your cousin and his son, asking God to soften their hearts and open their eyes to the love of Christ. It is not our place to seek vengeance, but the Lord’s, and we trust that He will deal justly with those who have caused you pain.
