Evil friend

I have cut this evil friend out of my life, but I feel like he’s using witchcraft to come back in, I feel his pressence and attacks returning. He wants my woman, I know he is attacking me. Now he is doing something strange with her in the spiritual realm and it has to be stopped and reversed. I rebuke him in the name of Jesus, and may all plans of darkness and the enemy be cancelled. In Jesus name amen.

We hear your distress and stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already defeated every power of darkness. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Your concern about spiritual attacks is valid, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). However, we must also examine the situation through the lens of Scripture to ensure we are walking in wisdom and truth.

First, we must address the nature of your relationship with this woman. You refer to her as "my woman," but Scripture is clear that unless you are married, she is not your wife. If you are not married, this language reveals a possessiveness that is not biblical. The Bible instructs men to treat women with honor, not as objects to be claimed (1 Peter 3:7). If you are courting her with the intention of marriage, we encourage you to pursue this relationship with purity, patience, and a commitment to godly principles. If you are not married, any sexual involvement would be fornication, which is sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We urge you to repent of any impurity and seek to honor God in this relationship.

Now, regarding the spiritual attacks you are experiencing: the Bible warns us that witchcraft, divination, and all forms of occult involvement are detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). If this individual has been involved in such practices, he has opened himself up to the influence of demonic forces. However, we must also consider whether there are areas in your own life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Have you engaged in any sin, such as unforgiveness, bitterness, lust, or pride, that could be giving the enemy legal ground to harass you? The enemy cannot touch a believer who is walking in righteousness and covered by the blood of Jesus (1 John 5:18). We encourage you to examine your heart and repent of any known sin, for the Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse us (1 John 1:9).

We also want to address the fear you are experiencing. Fear is not from God; He has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). When we walk in faith, we can resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7). You have already taken a bold step by cutting this person out of your life, and we commend you for that. Now, we must stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is above every name, and at His name, every knee must bow (Philippians 2:9-11). There is no power in heaven or on earth that can stand against Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We thank You for Your protection and Your power over all the forces of darkness. Lord, we lift up this brother to You and ask that You would surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace. We rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, divination, and deception that is seeking to harass him or his household. We cancel every assignment of the enemy against him, his future wife, and their relationship. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You would expose any areas in his life where the enemy has gained a foothold. Reveal any sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly soul ties that need to be broken. We pray that You would cleanse him with the blood of Jesus and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him a spirit of discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the courage to stand firm in Your truth.

Lord, we also pray for this woman. If she is being influenced or deceived by this individual, we ask that You would open her eyes to the truth. Protect her mind, her heart, and her spirit from any demonic influence. Draw her closer to You and surround her with godly influences who will speak life and truth into her.

We declare that this brother is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper. We break every curse, every spell, and every assignment of the enemy in the name of Jesus. We command every evil spirit to flee and to go where Jesus Christ sends them. We declare that this brother walks in victory, in faith, and in the authority of Christ.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen his faith and fill him with Your peace. Remind him that You are greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Help him to fix his eyes on You and not on the attacks of the enemy. We pray that You would restore what the enemy has stolen and bring healing to any areas of his life that have been affected by this spiritual warfare.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust in You to protect, guide, and deliver this brother. May Your will be done in his life, and may he walk in the fullness of Your purpose for him. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith. Put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18) and remain in prayer and the Word. Surround yourself with godly believers who can support and pray with you. The enemy may try to return, but resist him steadfast in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). You are not fighting alone; the Lord is your refuge and your strength (Psalm 46:1).

If this woman is someone you are courting with the intention of marriage, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and ensure that your relationship is built on a foundation of faith, purity, and mutual respect. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is worth waiting for and pursuing in a way that honors God. If you are not yet married, we urge you to guard your heart and hers, and to commit to walking in holiness before the Lord.

We hear the strain in your words, the sense of being targeted, the fear that someone you’ve cut off is still reaching for you and those you care about. It is unsettling when a former friendship feels like an ongoing spiritual threat, and we are with you in asking for God’s protection and peace.

You have already done something powerful: you have broken contact and you have rebuked the attack in Jesus’ name. Hold tightly to that authority, not with white‑knuckled anxiety, but with the quiet confidence that Christ has already won the victory. Often the enemy’s loudest tactic is to make us focus on what he might be doing, pulling our eyes away from the One who guards us. When those feelings of presence or attack return, try to move your attention gently back to Jesus, maybe with a simple spoken truth like “Jesus is Lord over this moment” or a line of a hymn, rather than diving into a long internal debate with the darkness.

It may also help to not face this alone. The New Testament shows deliverance happening in the company of other believers. Consider sharing this burden with a mature, prayerful pastor or a small, trusted prayer group from your church. They can stand with you in prayer for your own safety, for clarity about the situation, and for the woman you mentioned, that any spiritual intrusion would be halted and her own heart and mind would be shielded. If there is any old connection to occult practices, or unresolved anger that could be an open door, that is something to confess and renounce plainly, perhaps with that same support.

We pray for you now, in Jesus’ name.

Lord Jesus, we bring this man before your throne. You see the fear and the spiritual aggression he describes. We ask you to surround him with your peace that passes understanding, and to make your protection real and tangible to him. We pray that every plan of darkness against him and the woman he cares about would be silenced and reversed. Break any spiritual link that is being used for harm. Give him wisdom, steady his heart, and lead him to the right people to walk alongside him. Yours is the kingdom and the power forever. Amen.

The darkness you feel is not a phantom, for the archers of the evil one do indeed shoot their arrows at the saints, seeking to strike fear and bondage where liberty has been won. Yet hear this: no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for Christ has utterly disarmed the principalities and powers, making an open show of them by the cross. What is any curse of man when the Son of God has been made a curse for us? The spell of the sorcerer is shattered against the rock of Calvary, and the malignant whisperings of your enemy are but the chattering of a foe already crushed. You have done well to rebuke in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and no other shield but faith in His blood. But see that your rebuke rests not upon the heat of your own fervor, but upon the finished ransom which God Himself has found. Did not the Lord say, “Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom”? This deliverance is not of man’s devising, nor maintained by man’s striving; it is of free grace alone, purchased by the Lamb who was slain ere the world began.

Lay hold now on this: the enemy can go no further than the Lord permits. Did Pharaoh hold Israel after the Passover blood was shed? The more he oppressed, the more they multiplied. So with you, if you are sheltered beneath the crimson canopy, the foe’s malice shall be turned to your growth and his own confusion. Remember Jacob at the brook Jabbok, trembling at the thought of Esau’s vengeance, yet in the morning he crossed and met his brother, who fell on his neck and kissed him. God delights to fashion deliverances out of our very dread, that the excellency of the power may be of Him and not of us. This trembling you feel, this oppression of spirit, may be the threshold of a great display of divine sufficiency. Trust Him who chastens sorely and yet gives life; He will not suffer the enemy to snatch what belongs to Christ. But mark this well: if there be any ground conceded to the adversary, if any unhallowed thought, any jealous rage, any sinful grasping after what is not legitimately yours, make straight paths for your feet. Let no root of bitterness spring up to defile you. Walk in the light, keep the garments of your soul unspotted, and the wicked one touches you not, for the Lord is your keeper.

Cease therefore from that feverish watchfulness over the sorcerer’s schemes. Look not so much at the serpent’s sting as at the nail-pierced hand that holds the keys of death and of Hades. You have cut him off from your life; now leave him to his own master. Bring your anxieties to the throne, spread them before the Lord who hears, and then rise to live and declare the works of God. The enemy would have you crouching in the corner, measuring his threats, when the Lord bids you go out of the gates to attack the foe who once held you in bondage. The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance must be shot by your own hand, Divinely strengthened. Do not merely rebuke, advance. Worship. Testify. Fill your mouth with the high praises of Him who has brought you out of darkness into His marvellous light. As you magnify the Deliverer, the taunting echoes from the pit will grow faint. In Christ, you are not under the curse, but under grace; the law of the Spirit of life has set you free. So I charge you, fix your soul on that one all-sufficient sacrifice, and let the blood of the everlasting covenant be your song. The Lord has chastened you sorely, but He has not given you over unto death. Live, then, and declare His works.

The turmoil you describe is a battle not of the body, but of a depraved moral choice. You ask that the plans of darkness be cancelled, and you do well to rebuke in the name of Jesus, for He has power over all. Yet consider this: hatred, variance, emulations, strife, heresies, and witchcraft, these arise merely from a depraved moral choice. This man you have cut off has brought upon himself a self-chosen madness, making his soul a sewer. He is not to be pitied as one possessed against his will, but shunned as one who practices such things and therefore shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

You feel his presence and attacks returning with such force because he sees you alone in your fear, left to yourself with these thoughts. The devil is most confident to assail when he finds men isolated. This is why Christ was led into the wilderness, giving a handle to the tempter. So your greatest need right now is to be flocking together with the brethren continually, to surround yourself with those who can contribute protection, diligence, and prayer for your soul’s advantage. Do not rest your hope of salvation in your own fierce rebuke alone, but in the common shelter of the Church. For even the unlearned, showing zeal for the common good, attained to Heaven; nothing is so pleasing to God as to live for this shared defense.

You mention your woman is being troubled spiritually. Understand that while adultery and fornication may tempt the flesh, the wicked devices of witchcraft are a poison of the will. Look to the remedy Christ Himself showed: when souls were receiving benefit or being defended from wolves, He did not stand by with mere words, but acted with severity to cast out the corruption for the sake of the innocent. Therefore, you must seek the protection of the holy congregation for her, and examine if any high birth, wealth, or worldly wisdom makes you or her an easier target for pride and a subsequent fall. Flee isolation. Contribute whatever talent you have, whether in urgent supplication, the counsel of elders, or physical removal from any hidden foothold. Stand with many, and the enemy’s confidence will shatter.

The intensity of what you are facing is real, and these spiritual assaults can feel overwhelming. But we must bring this battle back to its one true anchor. Your life revolves on a vertical axis, and that is your relationship with God. When that center is right, every other relationship, including your stand against the enemy, falls into its proper place. The enemy works so hard to fill your mind with fear about what he is doing in the shadows because he knows that if he can get your focus off the loving face of your Father, he can make you feel unmoored. He is already defeated by Jesus Christ, and your authority over him is not rooted in the force of your rebuke but in the depth of your union with the One who has all authority.

You do not have a legal relationship with God where you must earn your protection by saying the right words with enough intensity. You have a loving relationship with Him. He wants you to live in a fresh, day-by-day fellowship of His love and grace. When you are consciously aware of His presence, every idol the enemy tries to erect and every shadow he tries to cast loses its power. That former friend is seeking to manipulate spiritual things, but he has no access to the secret place of the Most High where you dwell. The consciousness of God’s presence is a shield that no witchcraft can penetrate. Do not fall back into the weak and beggarly elements of fear, as if spiritual power were a matter of equal forces clashing. Turn your eyes away from what that man is doing in the darkness and fix them on what Jesus is doing in the light.

A right relationship with God means you have a right relationship with the devil; you will defeat him every time you meet him because your position is secure. When these attacks come, let them drive you into that intimate, loving relationship where you call Him “my Father.” Do not seek a ritual to cancel a plan; seek the Person who has already spoiled all principalities and powers. Rest in the truth that fruit is the natural consequence of relationship. As you stop struggling in your own strength and simply abide in the overwhelming love Jesus has for you, that peace becomes a natural fortress around your heart and your home. The Lord is your axis, and He will keep you in perfect peace because your mind is stayed on Him.
