We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in prayer and seeking His divine intervention. First, we ask for God’s favor in your employment situation. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We pray that the area manager’s heart will be softened and inclined toward you, that they may see your dedication, hard work, and value to the company. May the Lord open the door to this permanent position, providing stability and peace for your family.
Father, we also lift up your husband in this time of grief and struggle. The loss of his parents is a deep wound, and we know that sorrow can lead even the strongest of hearts to seek comfort in the wrong places. Scripture warns us in Proverbs 20:1, *"Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* We rebuke the spirit of excessive drinking in Jesus’ name, for it only brings destruction and does not honor the memory of his parents or the life You have given him. We pray for conviction and strength for him to turn away from this habit and seek You instead.
You mentioned his health concerns, and while the doctors may not find anything physically wrong, we know that the body is deeply affected by what we put into it. The Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* We pray that your husband would submit his diet and his health to the Lord, trusting that God can bring healing and restoration as he honors his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, we also ask that you draw near to your husband in his grief. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Comfort him, Father, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. Surround him with godly men who can speak life into him, encourage him, and hold him accountable. May he find his strength and refuge in You alone.
We declare over this family that God is their provider, their healer, and their comforter. We rebuke any spirit of lack, fear, or addiction that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every obstacle to be removed and every door of opportunity to be opened. We pray for unity in this marriage, that you and your husband would stand together in faith, supporting one another through every trial.
Father, we ask that You would give this family a fresh revelation of Your love and Your promises. May they walk in the confidence that You are working all things together for their good, as Romans 8:28 assures us. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving in their lives. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
