We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent request to our Heavenly Father. We recognize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus in your time of need, for He is our Great Physician and our ever-present help in trouble.

Father God, we pray for ###’s surgery tomorrow, asking that You guide the hands of the doctors and nurses with Your divine wisdom and precision. You are the God who heals, and we trust in Your power to restore and make whole. "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20). We ask that You calm any fear or anxiety, replacing it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May the procedure go smoothly, and may Your healing touch be upon every aspect of this surgery.

Lord, we also lift up ###’s heartfelt cry for family. It grieves us to hear of the pain of feeling ignored or not prioritized. We pray that You would soften the hearts of ###’s parents and family, drawing them closer to one another and to You. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1). May they recognize the value of family as You intended, and may they seek to honor and support one another as You command. We ask that You mend any broken relationships and fill their home with Your love, joy, and peace.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of neglect or division that may be at work in this family. We declare that Your love is stronger than any hurt or misunderstanding, and we pray that ### would feel Your presence and comfort in a tangible way. Remind ### that even if earthly family fails, You are a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the weak (Psalm 68:5). You will never leave nor forsake those who trust in You (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We also pray for ###’s faith to remain steadfast. In times of trial, it can be easy to feel forgotten, but we know that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen ###’s trust in You, and help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care deeply for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we ask that You provide ### with the support and encouragement they need during this time. Surround them with believers who will uplift them in prayer and stand with them in faith. May they feel the body of Christ rallying around them, reminding them that they are never alone.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who intercedes for us even now. May Your will be done in ###’s life, and may Your name be glorified through every circumstance. Amen.

That kind of loneliness can cut just as deeply as any physical pain, and our hearts go out to you in that hurt.

As you go into the hospital tomorrow, please know you are not alone. If it would help, perhaps a trusted friend or someone from your church could sit with you in the waiting area or check in on you afterward. And if you feel able, you might speak honestly with a family member, not to guilt them, but simply to let them know, “I need you. Your presence would mean the world to me right now.” Sometimes people are unaware of how distant they seem.

We are praying for ### and the whole medical team, that their hands would be steady and the procedure would go smoothly and successfully. We are also praying for your admission to happen as you hope, so you don’t have to carry this anxiety any longer than necessary.

Lord Jesus, you see this dear one, the fear and the hurt. Please bring skillful care through the doctors and nurses, and let the surgery go well. Surround them with your peace, and stir the hearts of their family to show the love and support they desperately need. Hold them in your safe hands tonight and in the morning. In your name, Amen.

That large access, that surgeon’s hand, the hope of admission, these are not imagined ills; they are actual evils whose cure is urgent. He healed those that had need of healing, and to your heart’s center there is urgent need of healing. You have need of healing, indeed!

You fear your family will ignore you still. You say they hide their faces. So it was with Him, even His own received Him not. But do not look to them for what only He can supply. There is a Friend who is not a foe offering you a bottle of escape; He is the very Friend you need. Test Him as often as need arises. Put Christ to the test! Draw near to Him even now, for by the Spirit we have access to the Father.

You beg for prayer immediately. Venture into that operating room having called upon God for guidance, for you need the Spirit of God to make this truth a light to your soul. We would be devils to ourselves if He left us. Do not neglect to draw near to Him in prayer, for here is the way. You cannot pray as you ought? That is the very reason to believe, not to elbow Christ out of His place.

We must be earnest, for the eternal is at stake. Think not that this is mere temporal trouble. He who is once taken out of the horrible pit by the hand of Christ will never lie there again. It is an eternal salvation. The most aged and the most guilty need not despair, the day of grace is not over. He will not bring another sacrifice. He is able now, this very night, to save and to heal.

That family which ignores you, pray for them. Oh, may God keep us from the madness of neglecting our eternal interests. But while you wait for their comfort, let the heavenly flame cheer and guide you. Godliness with contentment is great gain. All things are yours, down in that little room, in that hospital ward. The trumpet has sounded in your ears tonight. Heed it! He does not deal in sentimental grievances; He deals with your real, undoubted, urgent need.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. You bring a wound that has grown large, and it is right to cry out with such urgency. For this place is a spiritual surgery, where whatever wounds we may have received without, here we may heal. The swelling of your old access is matched by a deeper wound, the ache of feeling ignored by your own family. Both are laid before the Physician who does not turn away the urgent plea.

Consider how the Canaanite woman pressed her case, and the more urgent she made her entreaty, the more the Lord seemed to deny, yet this was only to draw out her faith for an honored healing. Do not lose heart when your need is pressing. He Himself said, "Our friend sleepeth," to show that when the situation seems beyond remedy, His going to you is all the more necessary. Your prayer, repeated with such fervor, is not a nuisance. It is the very thing He desires, bringing you to that urgent need of entreating Him.

And those who sorrow over being cast out or set aside, these are especially honored. The blind man was cast out from the temple by those who dishonored Christ, and the Lord of the Temple went and found him. He separated him from a neglectful company and met him with the Fountain of salvation. If your family ignores you, know that this same Lord seeks you out. He does not call you a dog, but a child for whom the going is necessary.

Go then to this surgery of the body, trusting the hands of the surgeons to the guiding of God, who is rich in mercy. But rest more securely in the surgery of the soul, where the wound of being forgotten finds its true dressing. He who lost possessions found them again; he who was insulted was honored. Lay all your hope there immediately, and you will not be ignored.
