We hear your heartfelt cry for your family and your commitment to seek the Lord through fasting. It is beautiful to see your dependence on God, and we join you in lifting up these requests before Him.
First, we want to encourage you in your decision to fast. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God and aligns our hearts with His will. Jesus Himself spoke of fasting in Matthew 6:16-18, saying, "Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you." Let your fast be a time of humility, seeking God’s face, and trusting in His provision.
For your family and their jobs, we pray that the Lord would grant them favor, wisdom, and strength in their workplaces. May He open doors of opportunity and bless the work of their hands, as it is written in Psalm 90:17, "Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands." We also pray for peace and unity among your family members, that they would walk in love and harmony, reflecting Christ in all they do.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We lift up this family to You, asking that You would surround them with Your presence and protection. Lord, we ask that You bless their jobs, provide for their needs, and give them wisdom in every decision they make. Strengthen them in their faith and help them to trust in You alone.
We also pray for this dear one who is fasting, that You would meet them in this time of seeking You. May Your Holy Spirit fill them with peace, clarity, and a deeper hunger for Your Word. Help them to draw near to You, and may they experience the joy of Your presence in a fresh way.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may be trying to creep into their lives. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear, and we stand on Your promise in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." May this family walk in the confidence of Your provision and Your unfailing love.
