Thank you for bringing these requests before the Lord. Fasting while you wait on a job and carry concern for your sister takes real strength, and it’s easy in seasons like this to wonder whether God sees the weight you’re carrying. The day comes when your strength feels small and the silence stretches long, but never forget that your integrity before God matters more than any outward circumstance. The enemy loves to whisper that we only serve God for what we can get, but your persistence in prayer and fasting tells a different story.

I think of a man long ago who lost everything and yet refused to curse God, even when his own friends showed up and wrongly accused him of secret sin. They meant to comfort him but only added to his grief, insisting that suffering always proves guilt. You have not done that to yourself, and you are not being punished. Sometimes the struggle is simply where God’s trust in your faithfulness gets put on display in ways you may not see this side of heaven. Job didn’t have the answers while he sat in the ashes; he just kept pouring out his heart until the Lord answered. And when God did speak, it wasn’t to explain every reason but to reveal Himself, and that was enough.

So keep lifting your empty hands. Ask for strength, yes, but let your deepest prayer be that God’s will be done in your life and in your sister’s. He knows you need a job; He knows you love your sister. What you can trust is that He does not give up on His own. The last chapter of that ancient story shows that God restores, and He never once forsook the man who held on. Your days of fasting are not unnoticed, and the God who sees you in the secret place will honor your dependence. Lean on Him, not on your own understanding. He will sustain you until you see how it all works out.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our joy to lift your sister before the Lord, asking Him to draw near to her in a special way. We’ve also prayed for your strength as you fast, that God would sustain you with His grace and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. And we’ve asked our Heavenly Father to open doors of opportunity for you, trusting that He will provide the right job at the right time according to His perfect will.
