Beloved of All
Heavenly Father pls kindly forgive i. Pls kindly help i during fasting. To not chase after food In mornings. In Jesus christ name. amen.

We hear your humble cry for strength and self-control during this time of fasting, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s grace. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline, but it can be incredibly challenging when our flesh craves what we have chosen to deny it. Remember, the purpose of fasting is not just to abstain from food but to draw nearer to God, to seek His face, and to align our hearts with His will. The enemy will often tempt us to focus on what we are giving up rather than the One we are drawing closer to.

The Word of God tells us in Matthew 4:4, "But he answered, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”’ This is a reminder that our true sustenance comes from God’s Word and His presence. When the hunger pangs come, let them be a signal to turn your heart and mind toward prayer, Scripture, and worship. Replace the desire for food with a hunger for righteousness, as Jesus said in Matthew 5:6, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."

We also want to gently remind you that fasting is not about earning God’s favor or proving our strength. It is about humbling ourselves before Him, acknowledging our dependence on Him, and seeking His power to overcome our weaknesses. In your request, you asked for forgiveness, know that God’s grace is sufficient for you. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." You are already forgiven in Christ, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your strength during this time of fasting. Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit and grant them the self-control they need to resist the temptation to break their fast prematurely. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith, rather than on the desires of the flesh. When the hunger comes, remind them that their true nourishment comes from Your Word and Your presence.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of discouragement or weakness that may be trying to steal their focus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will sustain them through this time. Strengthen their spirit, mind, and body, Lord, and let this fast be a time of breakthrough, revelation, and deeper intimacy with You.

We also pray for a fresh infilling of Your grace and mercy. Help them to walk in the victory that Christ has already won for them, knowing that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). May this fast not only draw them closer to You but also align their heart with Your purposes and plans for their life.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to press into God’s presence during this fast. Use the moments when you feel weak or tempted as opportunities to pray, worship, or meditate on Scripture. Consider keeping a journal to record what the Lord reveals to you during this time. Fasting is not easy, but it is worth it, and the Lord will honor your sacrifice. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Stay steadfast, and may God bless you abundantly as you seek Him.

We understand how discouraging it can feel when the body seems to fight against what the spirit desires. The hunger you notice in the mornings does not mean you have failed; it is simply part of the training that fasting brings. Think of it less like a test you pass or fail and more like a long practice run, each time you turn that craving into a quiet moment with God, you are building endurance, not losing a battle.

When the urge to eat rises, we would gently encourage you not to fight it with shame but to step into a brief, honest prayer. Say, “Lord, I feel this hunger. I offer it to you. Help me want you more than this food.” Let the pang become a prompt that draws your attention back to why you are fasting in the first place. You might even plan ahead what short thought or phrase you will use, so you are ready when morning comes.

If you are doing a fast that stretches beyond a single day, it is wise to involve a doctor to make sure you are caring for your body well. There is no shame in safeguarding your health while you seek God.

Above all, please know that we do not approach God hoping to impress Him with our discipline. He sees your honest desire, and He walks with you in every small struggle. You are forgiven, and you are not alone in this.

Jesus, thank you that you see the sincere longing behind this prayer. We ask you to steady this one in the mornings, to quiet the clamor for food and replace it with a deeper awareness of your nearness. Grant patience and a calm spirit, not anxious striving. When the hunger comes, let it become a quiet signal to rest in you. In your strong name, amen.

There is a throne of grace to which you may come boldly, and at that throne you find forgiveness for all your transgressions. You cry for pardon, and the answer rings from the sacred word, "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake." This mercy is not for those who have made themselves worthy, but for the very chief of sinners, for those who have neglected prayer and chased after the things of this world. Hear it again: "There is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared."

Now, concerning this fasting and the morning hunger that assails you: the body cries out for its accustomed portion, and the pangs of appetite become a trial. Yet see in this very struggle a parable of your soul's deeper need. The hunger-bite of the flesh is but a shadow of that spiritual hunger which only Christ can satisfy. When you feel the desire for food rise up, let it remind you that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Turn the temptation into a call to prayer; let the empty stomach drive you to the fullness of Christ.

Do not trust in your own strength to subdue the cravings, for the strength of nature will be starved and fail. But cry out to the Lord in your weakness, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." He who has forgiven your sins for Christ's sake will also supply grace to help in this time of need. The same mercy that blots out your transgressions will sustain you when you feel most frail. Look to the Son of God, who in His own body bore the hunger of the wilderness and overcame. In Him you have both pardon and power. Go forward, then, with your eyes fixed on Jesus, and let this fasting be a season not of chasing after bread, but of feasting upon the Living Bread who came down from heaven.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What is this cry of the body, that it must chase after food in the mornings? You have taken up fasting, which is a spiritual exercise, yet you let the flesh dictate terms to the soul. The body says it is hungry, and immediately you are in a tempest of longing, crying out as though you were perishing. Do you not see that this very struggle is permitted for your discipline, that the miracle of self-command might appear greater and the remembrance of it be lasting? When you feel that pressing need beyond your strength, that is the moment to rebuke the storm within before you rebuke the sea. For the exercise of the body profits little, and if fasting were merely bodily, it would not make the body lean and wasted. No, this is the exercise of the soul, and the soul must be trained to master the clamor of the belly.

You ask for help not to chase after food, yet what is the good of fasting if the desire itself is not conquered? Are forty days sufficient to cleanse the heap of sins, if after making the place clean to receive the precious unguent, you immediately throw dung upon it again? To merely abstain from the food while the heart runs ravening after it is to make the mouth a channel for something more abominable than a sewer. You must not follow after this discipline as though it were a heavy and burdensome thing, as a senseless hireling looking only for a wage. Let us pursue it with a ready mind. The body, when it is water-logged by luxury, cannot keep fast the joints that hold the frame together. That flood-wave of craving which comes in the morning, that is the luxury of a disordered appetite trying to break up and scatter your resolve.

Therefore, when the hunger rises, do not look to the table of feasting in your mind, for that only inflames the soul. If you can imitate the indulgence in thought, you are encouraged to it; if you cannot, you are grieved. Go rather, in your spirit, to the house of mourning. Consider the solitude, the sackcloth and ashes. Remember that there is no impure savor of rich food where the saints are stationed like lights in a serene harbor. Let the remembrance of Christ’s own hunger and His retreat be your pattern; He withdrew not from weakness, but to instruct us that it is no reproach to flee from the temptation that arises from the belly, but the failing to stand manfully when we have entered the conflict. Will you not stand now, when the danger threatens no death, when you have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against this little sin of appetite? God is faithful, and with this small temptation, which is common to man, He will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

I hear the honest cry in your request, and I want to encourage you that the Lord is not far from a heart that turns to him with such simple need. When you ask forgiveness, remember that his mercy is fresh every morning, just as sure as the sunrise. He already knows the struggle, and he receives you without hesitation.

Fasting can feel like a battle, especially when the body screams for food while your spirit longs for God. But that very tension has a purpose. Think of it as a reversal: instead of feeding the physical man, you are choosing to feed the spiritual man through prayer and the Word. The hunger that hits you in the morning isn’t a failure; it’s a reminder. Let every pang of appetite become a quiet prompt to whisper, “Lord, I need you more than bread.” As you lean into him, the flesh grows weaker, but the inner man grows stronger.

Be careful not to turn fasting into a way of trying to get something from God, as if skipping a meal could obligate him to act. That only breeds frustration. Jesus warned against making a show of it or treating it as a performance. The real value is in denying yourself without an audience, letting your heart be quiet before the Father who sees in secret. When your fast is simply about being with him, you’ll find your light breaking forth like the morning, and your strength renewed in a way food cannot manage.

The God who laid the earth’s foundations and commands the constellations is the same God who holds you steady when your body feels weak. He made you with the power to choose; you can choose to keep looking to him rather than to the kitchen. And if a total fast proves too much, there is grace to find some form of denial that still sets your heart apart for him. His goal is not harshness but drawing you closer.

Keep walking in that honest prayer, and when you stumble, get back up in his kindness. Your confession is already heard, and the righteousness that goes before you is not your own. Trust him with your mornings.
