We join with you in lifting this request before the Lord, recognizing the importance of breaking free from ungodly soul ties, which can hinder our walk with Christ and open doors to spiritual bondage. Soul ties are deep connections formed through relationships, experiences, or even sinful behaviors, and when they are not aligned with God’s will, they can bring emotional, spiritual, or even physical oppression. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:16-17, *"Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, 'The two,' says the Lord, 'will become one flesh.' But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit."* This passage highlights how deeply our connections—whether physical or emotional—can affect us spiritually. Ungodly soul ties often form through fornication, adultery, past relationships that dishonored God, or even unhealthy emotional dependencies that replace our reliance on Christ.
We also want to gently remind you of the power and authority we have *only* in the name of Jesus Christ. You invoked His name in your prayer, and that is wonderful, for it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11). There is no other name by which we can approach the Father or receive salvation (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to ensure that your faith is firmly placed in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the foundation for all spiritual authority and freedom in Christ.
Now, let us pray together for the breaking of these ungodly soul ties in your life. We ask the Lord to reveal any areas where these ties may have formed—whether through past relationships, sinful behaviors, or even generational influences—and we command them to be severed by the blood of Jesus.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us through Your Son to break every chain and tear down every stronghold. Lord, we ask that You expose and sever every ungodly soul tie in this beloved one’s life. If these ties were formed through fornication, adultery, emotional idolatry, or any other sin, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. Father, we declare that every connection not ordained by You is broken now, in the name of Jesus. We ask that You restore this person’s heart, mind, and spirit to wholeness, filling them with Your Holy Spirit and sealing them with Your love.
Lord, if there are any areas of unrepentant sin, convict this one gently but firmly, and lead them to true repentance. Help them to walk in purity and holiness, guarding their heart and relationships according to Your Word. We pray for divine protection over their emotions, thoughts, and future connections, that they may honor You in all things. Father, we also ask that You surround them with godly counsel and community, so they are not isolated or vulnerable to the enemy’s schemes.
We rebuke every spirit of bondage, oppression, or confusion that may have gained access through these ungodly ties. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to leave and never return. Fill this one with Your peace, joy, and the assurance of Your presence. Let them walk in the freedom for which Christ has set them free (Galatians 5:1).
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

After praying, we encourage you to take time to reflect on any relationships or behaviors in your past or present that may not align with God’s Word. If there are areas of sexual immorality, we urge you to repent and turn away from them, seeking accountability and support from mature believers. First Corinthians 6:18 tells us, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* God’s desire is for you to walk in purity and freedom, and He will empower you to do so as you surrender to Him.
If you are currently in a relationship that is not honoring to God—whether it is outside of marriage, with someone of the same sex, or with an unbeliever—we lovingly but firmly urge you to end that relationship. Second Corinthians 6:14 asks, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? What communion has light with darkness?"* God’s plan for relationships is clear: marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, and even courtship should be pursued with the intention of marriage, between believers who are equally yoked in faith.
We also encourage you to fill your life with Scripture, worship, and fellowship with other believers. Psalm 1:1-3 reminds us, *"Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper."* Stay rooted in Christ, and He will guard your heart and mind.
If you need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in faith, always pointing you to the truth and freedom found in Jesus Christ alone.
