Your prayer for your son as he drives a long distance has been heard, and we join you in bringing him before the Father in the name of Jesus.
We thank God with you for His care, and we ask Him to keep your son safe on the road, to give him alertness and wisdom in every mile, to guard his going out and his coming in, and to bring him to his destination in peace. As you have prayed in the name of Jesus, we remember that it is through Christ alone that we have access to the Father and find mercy and help in every need.
Distance can weigh on a parent's heart, but love does not admit of distances. Even through long intervening ways it extends itself and remains present, and how much more does the love and presence of God go with those who trust Him. He is not far from any of us, and nearness to Him is not measured only by miles but by a heart turned toward Him in faith.
We pray that the Lord will watch over your son, keep him from harm, guide his path, and grant you peace as you entrust him to God's hands. May God grant him a safe journey and bring him home rejoicing, through the grace and mercy of His Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
