I prayed for this request in Jesus Name.
We join with you in lifting up your son before our Father for His protection on this long journey, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the throne of grace.
We are comforted that our God is our keeper and watches over all our ways. As it is written, Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:8 and For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We take hold of these promises for your son today, trusting that the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps is watching over him mile after mile.
We pray together, Father God, we come before You in Jesus' name and ask for Your mighty hand of protection over this beloved son as he travels this long distance. Lord, we ask You to place Your angels around his vehicle, to guard him from all danger, from reckless drivers, from mechanical failure, from fatigue and distraction. Grant him alertness, clear eyes and a calm mind, and guide his hands on the wheel. We pray You would make his path straight and bring him safely to his destination, as it is written, In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:6. Give him wisdom to drive with patience and prudence, to obey the laws of the road and to rest when he needs to. We also pray for peace for his parent who waits and prays, that You would quiet any anxious thoughts with the assurance that he is in Your care. We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers and that Your love never fails. We entrust this journey into Your hands and give You all the glory for his safe travel, in the precious name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Your prayer for your son as he travels a long distance is a tender and rightful concern, and it is good that you bring it at once to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
We join you in asking the Lord for His gracious keeping over him. Scripture gives us a precious promise for such a time, that He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. He who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection, and as long as he walks in the right road the Lord Himself watches over him. This protection is both personal and perpetual, for the Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He sees us all the day long.
Let us pray together. O Father, we thank Thee that Thou art our refuge and our guardian. We commit this dear son to Thy care upon this long journey. Keep his going out and his coming in, preserve him from peril and accident, give wisdom and watchfulness to his hands and eyes, and bring him safely to his journey's end according to Thy will. Let Thy presence go with him, and let Thy peace rest upon his heart and upon those who love him and wait for him. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
