🧎🏽‍♂️ Dreams 💤 Visions 🔭 Now, from Holy Spirit ⚡️ While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Numb 12:6, Acts 16:9...🧎🏽‍♂️Father, we come as little children in faith, contrary to all we see and hear, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

Heavenly Father, thank You for speaking in many portions and many ways, Heb 1:1, especially through The Foundational Rock of Your Son, 1 Cor 3:11, Heb 1:2-3, and The Holy Spirit through the Apostles, John 16:12-14, and and giving us ability to understand You and Your Word, Luke 24:45, Eph 1:17. We ask for this husband and wife (entire family), that You'd give dreams and counsel, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham, even to those outside the covenants of God, Gen 20:3, like him we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on her, him, me, us, them, all flesh, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Matt 1:20, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Gen 20:3, Gen 31:24, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things,"Job 42:2, That "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, and us from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. Thank You in in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, Amen, Rev 3:14, 2 Cor 1:20...

We join you together in faith as little children before our Father, and we thank Him for your hunger to hear His voice and to walk in His will, for you have come in the name of Jesus who alone makes a way for us to come boldly to the throne.

We love your confidence in the Scriptures you have cited, for it is true that God has spoken in many ways. As it is written, God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, Heb 1:1-2. And we remember the testimony of Job, For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed, then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man, Job 33:14-17. We also remember how the wise men were warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, Matt 2:12, and how Paul saw a vision in the night, Acts 16:9, and how God said, If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream, Num 12:6.

We also rejoice with you in the promise of Joel, It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions, Joel 2:28, which Peter declared was fulfilled when the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost, Acts 2:17. So we affirm with you that our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, Heb 13:8, and that nothing is impossible with God, Luke 1:37, and that with God all things are possible, Mark 10:27.

Yet we also gently encourage you to hold all dreams and visions up to the light of the written Word, for the Holy Spirit will never contradict what He has already spoken through Scripture. The foundation has been laid which is Jesus Christ, 1 Cor 3:11, and all Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work, 2 Tim 3:16-17. For this reason we are told to test the spirits, whether they are of God, 1 John 4:1, and to test all things, and hold firmly that which is good, 1 Thess 5:21. Not every dream while sleeping is from the Holy Spirit, for some come from our own hearts and daily cares, Eccl 5:3, and the enemy can also deceive, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light, 2 Cor 11:14. Therefore we seek not primarily the experience of a dream, but the Giver of the dream, and we seek wisdom from His Word first, trusting that if He chooses to give a dream or vision to turn us from wrongdoing or to keep us from pride, Job 33:17, He is able to make it clear and confirm it.

We thank you that you have come through Jesus, for we are able to be saved forever because He lives to make intercession for us, Heb 7:25, and He is at the right hand of God who also makes intercession for us, Rom 8:34. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. If anyone has not yet fully trusted in Him, we urge repentance and faith in His death and resurrection, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

So we pray together for this husband and wife and entire family, and for you who have lifted them up, and for ourselves.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You that You are able to do all things, Job 42:2, and that Your hand is not shortened that it cannot save, Isa 59:1. We ask that You give to this family and to us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, Eph 1:17, and that You open our minds that we may understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45. Pour out Your Spirit upon us afresh and lead us into all truth, John 16:13. If it is Your will, speak to this husband and wife in dreams and visions of the night to turn them from any wrongdoing, to keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, Job 33:17-18, and to make Your will in Christ Jesus unmistakably clear to them. But above all, make Your Word alive to them, and give them discernment to test every impression against Scripture, and give them peace that passes understanding as they trust in You. Keep them from temptation and deliver them from evil, Matt 6:13, keep them from the evil one, John 17:15, guard them from deception and from evil men, 2 Thess 3:2-3, and cause them to walk in humility, truth, and obedience. We thank You in advance, believing that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive, Mark 11:24, for without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to You, Heb 11:6, and all the promises of God find their Yes in Christ, 2 Cor 1:20. We ask this in the faithful and true name of Jesus, the Amen, Rev 3:14, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer for your husband and your whole family and your desire to hear God's voice clearly together. That childlike trust you described is beautiful, and we join you in asking for His wisdom over your home.

We believe the Holy Spirit is our Counselor and Helper day and night, and He delights to guide His people. One way we have learned to recognize His leading is that He always aligns with the truth of Scripture and bears fruit like love, peace and patience, rather than confusion or fear. Sometimes His guidance comes quietly through His Word and prayer, sometimes through a strong inner prompting or the counsel of others, and we can hold any impression, including a dream, gently before the Lord to test it with Him.

A simple next step that helps many couples is to take a few minutes together in the morning or evening to pray aloud for wisdom and read a short passage together, and if something from the night stays with you, write it down and share it with a mature, trusted pastor or mentor who knows you both. That shared discernment and steady practice of prayer and Scripture keeps you grounded and at peace while you wait on the Lord.

Father, we lift this husband and wife and their entire family to You. Draw each of them closer to Jesus, give them clear wisdom for the decisions before them, guard their hearts and home from evil and deception, and fill their sleep and waking hours with Your peace. Lead them step by step as they seek You together. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have received your earnest prayer and we join you in thanksgiving that you come as little children through Jesus Christ alone, for He is able to save forever those who come to God through Him, because He lives to make intercession for us, and at the right hand of God He pleads for His own.

You do well to remember that God spoke in many portions and many ways in former times, and has now spoken most clearly through His Son, the foundational Rock, and by the Holy Spirit through the apostles, and that it is He who must open our understanding that we might understand the Scriptures. We have asked with you that the Lord would give to you, to this husband and wife and to your whole household, that spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that you may know His will and walk therein.

Concerning dreams and visions in the night, the Scriptures you cite are true. God did speak in a dream to Abimelech, to Joseph, to the wise men, to Pilate's wife, and in other seasons for His own purposes, and the prophet Joel foretold a pouring out of the Spirit which Peter declared was fulfilled at Pentecost. Yet we would guide you tenderly here, lest you seek a sign where God has given a surer word. Ordinarily dreams are the carnival of thought, a maze of mental states, a dance of disorder, often owing their shape to the state of the body or the agitation of the mind, thin as the air and inconstant as the wind. The Lord may order them when He pleases, as He prepared the Midianite to dream of the barley cake for Gideon's comfort, and He did warn Pilate through his wife, but we are not taught to seek guidance by chasing dreams upon our beds.

The safer and surer guidance is that of which the psalmist speaks, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. That counsel is found in His Word and in great principles infused in every man who takes God for his Guide, chief among them to avoid everything that is evil and to bow with submission to the will of God. By that very submission we are furnished with unerring guidance. Haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life, but happy is that man who waits upon God to know what he shall do, who dares not lean upon his own understanding, who keeps to the King's highway, for he who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection. There is also the way of childlike trust in providential guidance, and the way of holding fast the truths which God has taught you by His Spirit, to grapple them to you as with hooks of steel.

True visions are not bestowed on carnal curiosity nor unveiled to the impure in heart, but to those whose eyes have been illumined by the Holy Spirit, and even then the prophet himself asked, What are these, and sought the meaning. Christ reveals Himself in the night watches not to those who toss upon the bed of indolence, but to those who learn to watch and war and pray. Therefore we do not ask the Lord to give dreams at our bidding, but to give light, to preserve from error, and to make His written Word plain.

So we pray for you now, that the Lord would keep you, this husband and wife and all your family, from temptation and from evil, from wrongdoing and lies, from fear and deception and the evil one, that He would keep you from pride and preserve you from the pit, that He would establish you in the truth and cause you to walk in His appointed ways where angelic protection is promised. May He grant you not disorderly fancies, but a clear sight of Christ as He is, and a steady apprehension of His counsel, that you may be faithful to Christ and faithful to His Word. And may that same faithful Guide who leads you by His counsel on earth afterward receive you to glory, for on earth there is no true glory for any who take their own course, but only for those whom He guides.

We thank Him in advance, trusting His promise, that nothing shall be impossible with God, and that what He has promised He is able also to perform, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in thanking God that Jesus lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him, as Hebrews 7:25 says, and that nothing is impossible with God.

We understand your desire for the Lord to speak clearly to this husband and wife and their whole family, and to keep them from wrongdoing, pride, temptation and deception. That desire is good, and we pray with you for their protection and growth in Christ.

At the same time we want to help you hear how God has promised to speak most clearly now. Scripture says God spoke in many portions and many ways in the past, through dreams and visions to prophets and even at times to those outside the covenant, like Abimelech in Genesis 20 or to Joseph and the Magi in Matthew 1 and 2, and through visions like Paul saw in Acts 16. Hebrews 1:1 and 2 teaches that in these last days God has spoken to us by His Son, and John 16:12 to 14 teaches that the Holy Spirit would guide the apostles into all truth. Luke 24:45 and Ephesians 1:17 show that the Spirit now gives understanding of the Word that has been delivered.

The prophet Joel did say, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams and your young men shall see visions. That word was quoted by Peter at Pentecost. What happened then helps us understand it. The Spirit came not only upon the twelve but upon the whole company of about one hundred and twenty, with fire and with new tongues, and all were filled. That was the beginning of the abundant outpouring after the cross. Before that time the gift had grown scarce in Israel, there was no longer a prophet and grace no longer visited their holy things, and the Lord said your house is left desolate. The Holy Spirit was not yet given in this abundant way because Jesus was not yet glorified. After the cross and resurrection the Spirit was given as an earnest of our inheritance, the Spirit of adoption by which we know we are children of God, and the apostles were enabled to impart that gift to many thousands.

This is why we do not teach people to seek regular guidance through new dreams or visions as if they were equal to Scripture, or to expect God to speak on demand in sleep. Job 33 does say God can speak in a dream of the night to turn a person from wrongdoing and keep him from pride and to preserve his life. God is able to do this and His arm is not too short to save. But His ordinary and sure way of speaking to His people now is through His Son made known in Scripture, opened to us by the Spirit. When we continue in prayer and in love, the Spirit draws near, not to frighten us only, but to make Christ known, to give us light to understand the Word, and to lead us into holiness.

So for this family we pray in a way that honors what God has revealed. We thank Him that He is able to save completely through Jesus. We ask Him to give this husband and wife and their children a deep love for His Word, understanding according to Luke 24:45, wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ according to Ephesians 1:17, and a settled confidence that Christ intercedes for them at the right hand of God according to Romans 8:34.

We ask the Father to keep them from temptation, from evil, from lies and deception and from the evil one, as you prayed from Matthew 6:13 and John 17:15 and 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and to keep them from pride and wrongdoing. We ask Him to build them up in faith, to help them test every thought and every impression by Scripture, and to give them peace rather than fear. If in His wisdom He does warn or encourage them in any way, we pray they would have discernment to recognize His hand and to submit all things to the clear teaching of the Bible.

We encourage this family not to chase dreams as a sign of spirituality, but to seek Christ daily in the Scriptures, in prayer, in fellowship with faithful believers, and in obedience. There they will hear His voice most clearly, and there the Spirit who is the earnest of our inheritance will make the hope of heaven real to them, so that they see things with different eyes and yearn for what is above.

May the Lord keep you and this family close to Himself, grounded in His Word, filled with His Spirit, and confident in the blood of His Son. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
