Disciple of Prayer
Can someone help me? I woke up just now. I had a dream just now, I just woke up. I had two teeth that fell out and it was painful. My other teeth wanted to fell out too and my gum was bleeding because of it. What does it mean? There was a young man in white but I was not able to see his face. He talked to me, and ### as well smiling at me. They both talked to me but I don't know what they told me.

We hear your concern about this vivid and unsettling dream, and we want to approach it with both biblical wisdom and compassion. Dreams can sometimes carry symbolic meaning, and in Scripture, teeth often represent strength, stability, or even words, particularly those spoken in haste or without wisdom. The loss of teeth in a dream may reflect anxiety about losing control, fear of saying something you’ll regret, or even a sense of powerlessness in a situation. The pain and bleeding could signify emotional or spiritual distress, as if something in your life is causing you deep inner turmoil.

The young man in white is a detail that stands out. In the Bible, white garments often symbolize purity, righteousness, or divine presence (Revelation 3:4-5, 7:9). While we cannot assume this figure was an angel or a messenger from God, since Scripture warns us to test every spirit (1 John 4:1), his presence may have been meant to bring comfort or a message. The fact that you couldn’t see his face or recall his words is significant. It may suggest that the meaning isn’t immediately clear to you, or that you’re being called to seek God’s wisdom rather than relying on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We must also gently address a concern: the dream left you with a sense of unease, and it’s important to consider whether this could be an attempt by the enemy to sow fear or confusion. The Bible tells us that Satan disguises himself as an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14), so we must always measure any spiritual experience against God’s Word. If this dream has left you feeling anxious or troubled, we encourage you to take it to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to reveal its meaning, or to dismiss it if it is not from Him.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is seeking Your wisdom and peace after this troubling dream. Lord, Your Word tells us that You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we ask that You would calm any fear or anxiety this dream has stirred up. Father, we ask that You would reveal the meaning of this dream, if it is from You, and give clarity and understanding. If it is not from You, we rebuke any spirit of fear or confusion in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. Lord, we pray that You would fill this precious one with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we also ask that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If there are areas of their life where they feel powerless or unstable, we pray that You would strengthen them and give them wisdom to speak and act in ways that honor You. Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You, that they may find comfort in Your presence and truth in Your Word. Remind them that they can cast all their anxieties on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We pray that this dear one would feel Your nearness today and every day, and that they would walk in the confidence of Your love and protection. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, particularly in passages that speak of His peace and protection. Psalm 91 is a beautiful reminder of God’s care for us, and Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us not to be anxious but to bring everything to God in prayer. If this dream continues to trouble you, consider sharing it with a trusted pastor or spiritually mature believer who can pray with you and offer biblical counsel.

Lastly, if you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we want to gently share that the Bible tells us there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we can have a personal relationship with God. If you feel led, you can pray a simple prayer like this:

"Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for my sins. I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart. I want to follow You and live for You. Thank You for saving me. In Your name, I pray. Amen."

If you prayed that prayer or have questions about salvation, we encourage you to reach out to a local church or a trusted Christian friend who can help you grow in your faith. You are not alone, and we are praying for you.

That sounds like a truly unsettling dream, the pain, the bleeding, the fear of more teeth falling out, and then the strange comfort of a young man in white and someone else smiling at you, even though you can’t recall what they said. Waking up with that kind of vivid, emotional experience can leave you feeling shaken all day.

We don’t always know why certain dreams come, but you’re not alone in wanting to understand. Throughout Scripture, God sometimes used dreams to get a person’s attention, offer reassurance, or prompt a deeper look at something going on inside. More often, though, dreams simply stir up the worries and fragilities we carry. When you pray, you can ask God to calm your heart and, if there’s something He wants you to see, to make it plain in His time. The figure in white and the smiling presence may simply be a quiet reminder that you aren’t left to yourself, even in confusion, God is near.

A practical step you might try: write down the dream and the feelings it brought up, then bring those before the Lord in a simple prayer, asking for His peace to settle over your mind. If the dream keeps bothering you, consider sharing it with a trusted Christian friend or pastor who can listen and pray with you.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to wrap our friend in Your perfect peace right now. Calm the unsettledness this dream stirred up, and give clarity where it’s needed. Help them to rest in knowing they are held safely in Your hands, and guard their heart and mind against fear. Amen.

I always have dreams and visions, dreams with symbols I do not understand. I ask God why He lets me see these things I cannot comprehend. Thank you for the prayer, in Jesus name, I calmed down.

The dream that has startled you awake with pain and bleeding is not sent without a purpose. God, in His providence, sometimes uses the visions of the night to arrest the careless, to warn the sinner, and to draw His wandering children back to Himself. The teeth falling from your mouth, and the blood that followed, speak of decay and mortality, of that which you have trusted in being torn away, and of the bitter consequences of sin. But I would not have you seek the interpretation from idle curiosity or from those who invent meanings out of their own minds; rather, let it drive you to the Word of God and to the Saviour who alone can give you true understanding.

You saw a young man in white, whose face you could not see, and though he spoke, you know not what he said. How many souls are there who have Christ near them, yet discern Him not! The Lord Jesus, in His mercy, often draws very close to those who are in trouble, and yet their eyes are holden so that they do not recognise Him. The words He spoke were no doubt words of warning or of invitation, but through the din of worldly care or the dullness of an unready heart, they were lost to you. Yet this is a token of His mercy: He has not passed you by. He speaks even when you cannot hear.

The pain you felt in your dream is a shadow of a deeper reality. There is a sorrow that works death, but godly sorrow works repentance. The fear of death is a chain that binds many, yet Christ has come to deliver those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. If this dream has made you think of your latter end, and of the judgment that follows, then it has already done you a service. But do not rest in terror; fly to the Cross. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. The teeth that fell out may be a picture of the props and confidence of this life being removed, that you might lean wholly upon the Rock of Ages.

Do not despair, as though God had set Himself against you. Even this dream is a messenger of mercy, sent to rouse you. The darkest hour is just before the dawn. If you are brought low, it is that He might lift you up. I urge you, as soon as you have risen, to kneel and cry out to Him who sent that vision. Say, “Lord, what wouldst Thou have me to do? I am a sinner; I cannot bear the thought of facing death and judgment without a Saviour. Reveal Thyself to me, and let me hear Thy voice.” Then take down the Scriptures and read there the words of Him who speaks from heaven. You will find that His voice is one of love, saying, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Give no heed to those who would lead you after vain fancies, but to the sure word of prophecy as unto a light that shines in a dark place. The Lord has designs of mercy for you. Do not, I beseech you, be like Pilate, who heard a warning dream and yet went on to condemn the Just One. Rather, let this dream be the occasion of your fleeing to the Saviour, who even now invites you. Fear not; only believe. He will cast all your sins into the depths of the sea. And then, even the terror of the grave shall be turned into a sweet sleep in Jesus, for he that believeth in Him shall never die.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The teeth that fell out, the pain, the bleeding, these are like the things of this present life. For what is this world but a dream? As I have said, the things of the day are no more real than the things of the night; both pass and prove to be nothing when the true light dawns. Your dream is a small picture of our condition: we clutch at what decays, and it slips from us in agony. But the young man in white, and the one who smiled, they spoke to you, yet you remember not their words. Consider this: even if an angel appears, if the heart is not awake, the message is lost. You are slumbering, my child, sunk in a deep lethargy, seeing visions but not grasping their meaning.

Awake, then! Let this dream shake you from the deeper sleep of sin and worldly cares. The bleeding gums are not the true wound; the soul bleeding from transgressions is far more grievous. Do not seek after the meaning of a dream as if it were an oracle, but let it drive you to repentance. The Sun of Righteousness stands ready to enlighten you; turn from the fleeting shadows and gaze upon Him. For the things of this earth are but a fable, a shadow, bare bones in the tomb. Clothe your soul with virtue, not with the gilded garments of a harlot that please the crowd of this Satanic theater. The only theater that matters is the heavenly one, where the soul is adorned with fringed work of gold within.

Count the losses of this world as gain for Christ. If teeth fall out, if the body bleeds, if all earthly comforts crumble, it is but the Lord waking you to what endures. He sends such pains, perhaps, as a mercy, that you might not perish with the world. Seek now the Word that abides forever, and pray not for the interpretation of dreams, but for a clear eye to see the Day that is dawning. Let the fear of decay turn you to the fear of God, and so find the true gain that no dream can take away.

A troubling dream can leave you shaken, especially when it lingers with pain and vivid images you can’t shake. You’re not alone in wondering whether God is speaking through it. Scripture shows us again and again that the Lord uses dreams to get someone’s attention, to reveal what is to come, or to stir a heart toward Him. But the meaning belongs to Him alone. Human wisdom guesses; God alone gives the interpretation.

When you saw those teeth fall out with bleeding and pain, and felt others were about to go as well, it may point to a deep sense of loss, vulnerability, or something being torn away that you thought was secure. That kind of imagery often mirrors inner fears: a dread of losing control, a relationship unraveling, or a place of strength crumbling. The young man in white whose face you couldn’t see, and the other person smiling at you, seem like messengers, yet you couldn’t hear their words. That frustration is common in dreams where God is at work, He sometimes veils the details so that we will seek Him for the clarity, not rely on our own understanding.

The biblical pattern is clear. Joseph in the prison did not say, “I have the gift of interpretation.” He pointed to God. When Pharaoh’s servants were troubled by their dreams, Joseph asked them to tell him the dream, and then he looked to the Lord for the meaning. Daniel, too, with the king’s forgotten dream, gathered his friends and they sought mercies from the God of heaven concerning the secret. The interpretation wasn’t in a handbook; it was revealed in prayer. If this dream is from God, then He wants to show you what it means, and He will do so as you press into Him.

So don’t rush to find a symbolic dictionary or someone else’s explanation. Turn to the Lord who gave the dream. Ask Him plainly: “Father, if this is from You, open my understanding. Show me what You want me to know, and give me the grace to receive it.” The pain in the dream may be highlighting an area where you feel fragile or under attack. Bring that to Jesus. Sometimes guilt, anxiety, or a buried fear shows up in our sleep because we’ve been trying to push it down in the daytime. If there is any unconfessed sin, guilt will find a way to surface. The only permanent relief for guilt is confession to Christ and receiving His forgiveness.

It is also possible that God is not foretelling a literal loss of teeth but using the shock and pain to draw you near. He loves you so deeply that He doesn’t let you just drift along in comfortable forgetfulness. He thinks of you constantly, even when His ways feel confusing. The smiling face you saw, and the messenger in white, could be a reminder that you are not abandoned. The specific words were hidden, but perhaps in time, as you walk with God, you will understand. The dream was given; the interpretation is sure in His hands.

Rest in the providential care of God. When Joseph’s brothers hated him for his dreams, God still brought every detail to pass in His timing. You can commit this whole unsettled feeling into His care. You don’t need to figure it all out by morning. Just step out into your day trusting that the one who kept you through the night will make the path clear. Keep your heart open, stay in the Word, and let the Holy Spirit bring the peace that passes understanding. If the dream was meant to awaken something, let it push you closer to the only one who knows you fully and holds you securely.
