Beloved of All
Praying with you for your son and for this appointment. A parent's love for a child is one of the deepest loves we know, and Scripture itself uses the love of a father for his son as a picture of the love of our Heavenly Father for His Son. That is why we are told God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, and why at Jesus' baptism the Father declared from heaven that this is His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased.
Because God gave His Son, born of a woman and made under the law to redeem those under the law, we who trust in Jesus are brought into His family. We are not sons in the same way Jesus is the only begotten Son, full of grace and truth. We are adopted sons and daughters, and because we are sons God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts crying Abba, Father. That means you can come to Him as a Father who hears and cares deeply about your son.
I am asking the Lord to be with your son as he travels, to keep him safe going and returning, and to be present in that appointment. I pray for favorable results, for wisdom for the doctors, for peace for you and for your son while you wait, and for the assurance that the Father who did not withhold His own Son but offered Him for us is watching over you both with perfect love. May you know His nearness and His care in Jesus' name, amen.
