Dr appt, safe travels

We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father.
We pray for his appointment and for his travels and we ask the Lord to guide the hands and minds of the doctors with wisdom and discernment. We pray for favorable results according to the perfect will of God and for peace for you and your son as you wait and trust in Him.
We take comfort in the promises of Scripture for healing and protection. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:8. We cling also to His promise that says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. And we remember that God calls us to bring every worry to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your love and mercy toward us and for the gift of Your Son Jesus Christ. We lift up this beloved son to You and ask for Your hand to be upon his appointment. Grant favor, grant clear answers, and grant wisdom to the medical team. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body and for Your peace to fill his heart and the heart of his parent. We ask for safe travels to and from the appointment, that You would keep them from all harm and danger on the road, and that Your angels would watch over them. We pray that whatever the results, You would be glorified and that they would feel Your presence and strength. We are reminded of Your word, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Strengthen this family and uphold them in Your righteousness. We trust this appointment and journey into Your caring hands and we ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We join you in prayer for your son and his appointment, and for mercy upon his journey to and from.
It is sweet to remember that to abide under the wings of our God is to be safe. As the hen spreads her wings and covers her young, so the Lord covers His people, and there they are not only safe but peculiarly happy and at ease in the warmth of His feathers. We pray that you and your son may feel that shelter now, knowing that whether upon the road or in the waiting room, to be near our God is to be safe.
We take comfort also that we are embarked in the good ship of Providence with such a Captain who has forearranged and foreordained all things from the beginning even unto the end. No skillful captain of this world can promise an absolutely safe passage, for he cannot know what may occur during the voyage. But our Lord knows each wind in all its connections and the speed at which each shall travel, and every appointment is under His hand. At the time appointed the end shall be, and even sickness and its remedy are held within His wise appointment.
So we bring your son before the throne of grace, asking the Lord in His mercy to grant favor in this appointment, to give wisdom and kindness to those who care for him, to grant favorable results as may be most for his good and for the glory of God, and to keep him safe in every mile. We ask that whether the answer be as we hope or otherwise, you may be enabled to put implicit confidence in His guidance, and to find your rest in Christ who must convey even the smallest boat safe into the port at last and will not suffer one of His little ones to perish.
May the Lord keep and refresh you, set the helm of this day aright, and cause you to show forth His lovingkindness morning and evening, trusting that amidst all changes you are safe and near your God and blessed in Christ.
