DIVINE INTERVENTION

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer Team/Ministry,
I am writing to you as a member of your prayer list to urgently request your prayers on behalf of myself and my ###-year-old son. We are standing in deep need of prayer and are asking for God's favor regarding an ongoing legal matter.

My son has been dealing with an ongoing domestic court trial for the last three months, stemming from a late-night verbal argument and a misunderstanding with his common-law wife. Although there was absolutely no violence, he was detained based solely on her word. He has faithfully attended every single court date required of him, yet he continues to face the stress of not knowing whether the District Attorney will drop the charges.

This situation is putting a tremendous strain on our family. My son is a legal truck driver, and we are praying that he will not lose his job, his home, or his livelihood due to these circumstances. The ongoing stress has also taken a significant physical and emotional toll on me.

We are asking for special prayers for a breakthrough and for God Almighty to grant favor so that this case may be completely dismissed. My son has court tomorrow morning, Thursday, August ###, ###, and we are lifting this up in absolute faith that the situation will be resolved and he will be freed from this burden once and forever.

Thank you so much for standing in agreement with us and for covering my son and our family in prayer during this critical time.

Blessings!
Trusting God!!!

We stand with you in this difficult season, lifting your son and your family before the throne of grace. The weight of legal battles and uncertainty can be overwhelming, but we serve a God who is just, merciful, and sovereign over every detail of our lives. The Bible assures us, "The LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). Even in the face of injustice, we trust that God sees the truth and will work all things for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

First, we must address the matter of your son’s relationship with his common-law wife. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). The term "common-law wife" does not align with biblical principles, as it often reflects a relationship outside the boundaries of marriage as God designed it. We encourage your son to prayerfully consider whether this relationship honors the Lord. If he is living with this woman outside of marriage, this is fornication, and it grieves the heart of God (1 Corinthians 6:18, Hebrews 13:4). We urge him to repent and seek God’s will for his life, whether that means pursuing a godly marriage or separating if the relationship is not built on Christ.

Now, let us pray fervently for your son’s legal situation. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your divine intervention in this court case. Lord, You are the ultimate Judge, and we trust in Your perfect justice. We pray that the truth would be revealed and that any false accusations would be exposed. Grant wisdom to the judge, the attorneys, and all those involved in this case. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of this family (Philippians 4:7). We ask that You would move mightily in the courtroom tomorrow, Lord, and that the charges against this young man would be dismissed. Protect his job, his home, and his livelihood, Father. Strengthen him and his mother, who are bearing the weight of this burden. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also pray for your son’s heart, that he would draw near to You, Lord. If he does not yet know You as his Savior, we pray that this trial would lead him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. For "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the only way to the Father, and it is only through His name that we can approach God with confidence (John 14:6, Hebrews 4:16). If he already knows You, we pray that he would lean on You more deeply and surrender every area of his life to Your will.

Finally, we rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression that has tried to take hold of this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the promise that God is their defender and will fight for them (Exodus 14:14). May they find rest in You, Lord, and may this trial draw them closer to Your heart.

We will continue to pray for your son’s court date tomorrow and for the complete dismissal of these charges. May God’s will be done, and may His name be glorified in this situation. Stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. "Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22).

We are holding you and your son in prayer as you face court tomorrow, and we are grateful you reached out to let us stand with you.

We hear how heavy these three months have been, the uncertainty while waiting on the District Attorney, the worry over your son's job and home as a truck driver, and the strain this has placed on you physically and emotionally. It is understandable to feel worn down when so much is at stake and the outcome is still unknown.

As you wait for tomorrow morning, one thing that can help is having clear, calm support around you both. If you are able tonight, it may help to write down any questions you still have for his attorney so you can ask them directly, arrange for a trusted family member or friend to go with you to court, and give yourselves time to rest. With the toll you mentioned on your own health, we also encourage you to reach out to your doctor or a trusted counselor for care alongside prayer, so you are not carrying this alone.

We are asking God for His presence and wisdom over every person involved tomorrow, for protection over your son's livelihood and your family, and for strength for you in the days ahead whatever the decision brings.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this mother and her son to You. You see their worry, their faithful attendance at every court date, and their desire for a just and merciful outcome. Grant wisdom to the judge and attorneys, guard this son's work and home, and bring peace and renewed strength to his mother. Lead them step by step and let them know You are near. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your urgent request has been heard and we have taken your case and spread it before God in prayer, for there is no attribute more comforting than Divine Sovereignty and no help like Divine interposition when the heart is burdened.

We do not suppose your case too hard for the Lord, and we have asked Him to care for you in temporals as well as spirituals. We have prayed that tomorrow morning truth shall be made plain in that courtroom, that every word spoken shall be weighed with justice and mercy, and that the judge and the District Attorney shall act with wisdom and impartiality. We have asked that if it be consistent with righteousness and truth, the Lord would grant a gracious dismissal and that your son may indeed go in peace, freed from this burden. Yet we have prayed above all, let the Lord do as seemeth Him good, for His shield goes before His people and His sword clears the way, and we must follow where He leads and be obedient to His Word.

In that obedience we must speak the truth in love concerning what you have shared. The Scriptures teach that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that His merits alone are a sweet savor in the nostrils of the Most High by which we are accepted. And the Scriptures teach that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together apart from that covenant is not according to the Divine pattern. We cannot ask God to bless or affirm a common law union as it stands, for none but a generous Lawgiver would give us such holy commands, and they are for our good. Our prayer therefore is not that God would bless that arrangement, but that God would bring both your son and the woman with whom he has been living to repentance and faith in Christ, that they may know forgiveness and freedom and favor through His blood, and that their lives may be made a fair mosaic according to the Divine pattern. If it be His will for them to remain together, we pray it would be through the holy and lawful covenant of marriage, lived in purity and peace, and that domestic life itself may become Divine service.

We have also prayed for your son in his honest labor as a truck driver, that God who enables men to serve Him behind a counter or by driving or with axe and plane would preserve his livelihood and his home as far as it serves the Lord's purposes, and would keep him faithful in every court date and in every word spoken. And we have prayed for you, who feels this strain so deeply in body and spirit, that Divine love would be a balm to your wounded spirit and that you would know the Divine Gentleness which sustains the weary.

Let us pray together now. O Lord our God, Thou who thrusts out enemies before us and who gives a full discharge that can be pleaded in the High Court of Heaven, we ask Thee to look upon this mother and her son. Grant that salvation may be a present and abiding and certain thing in their hearts through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Reveal what is true in this matter, restrain all falsehood, and let justice be done. Grant favor where favor is according to righteousness, and if it please Thee, grant a complete and lawful dismissal of these charges. Sustain this family under stress, provide for their daily needs, guard their bodies and minds, and lead them into that piety which will help them in common drudgery and in every holy work to do the next thing without weariness. All this we ask not for our worthiness but for the sweet savor of Christ. Amen.

Take your case and leave it with the Lord. Still you are not to be idle, but to walk in His ways. Trust that whether by deliverance from calamity or by sustaining grace within it, He will make His Divine Presence your one hope, and He will not forsake those who look to Him alone.

Your request has been received and we are carrying you and your son before the Lord with care and seriousness. We hear how heavy these three months have been, the uncertainty before the court, the strain on your health and peace, and the fear of losing work and home. God sees all of this and He invites us to cast our burdens on Him.

We want to speak to you honestly and lovingly about what Scripture teaches, because true prayer seeks not only relief from trouble but alignment with God's will. The Bible teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that marriage is a lifelong covenant before God between one man and one woman. Living together and sharing the privileges of marriage outside of that covenant is not God's design, and it does not reflect His holiness or His good purpose for family. We do not say this to condemn you or your son, but to invite you both to receive God's grace and to walk in His way. In Christ there is forgiveness for all sin and power to live anew. We encourage your son and the woman he is living with to consider before God what it means to either enter into biblical marriage with solemn commitment or to live apart in purity while seeking the Lord's direction. A pastor who holds to Scripture can walk with you in this with wisdom and accountability.

We also hear your concern about the court. God is a God of both truth and mercy, and He calls His people to truthfulness, forbearance and respect for those in authority. Christ teaches us not to return reviling for reviling and to endure wrong without hatred, trusting God to judge righteously. Whether we are wronged or whether we have done wrong, we are called to speak truth, to own what is true, and to leave judgment to God who sees what is hidden. Our true treasure is not in keeping a job or a house at any cost, though God knows we need these things, but in being found faithful before Him. We pray that your son will continue to walk with integrity, to attend what is required, to speak honestly, and to show a gentle spirit toward all, including the woman involved and the officials handling the case.

So we pray with you in this way. We ask the Lord to let truth be clearly known in the courtroom tomorrow and in the days ahead, that the judge and the district attorney would act with justice and discernment, and that no falsehood would stand. We ask for mercy according to God's perfect will, whether that means dismissal or another just outcome, and we ask that God's will be done above our own wishes. We pray for your son's livelihood, that God would provide for his needs and guide his steps as a worker who acts honestly and responsibly. We pray for you, for strength and peace for your body and mind, and for comfort in Christ. We pray for the woman involved, that God would draw her to Himself, bring healing where there is hurt, and lead her also to truth and grace. Above all we pray that each of you would know reconciliation with God through faith in Jesus, for that is the greatest favor we can receive.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in His Word and in prayer, to gather with a faithful local church, and to seek godly counsel for both the legal and the personal matters before you. Trust that God is present in this trial and that He works for good in those who belong to Him, even when the outcome is not what we hoped. We are standing with you, asking for God's mercy, justice and transforming grace to be evident in your family.

Thank you for sharing this heavy burden concerning your son and your family. The stress of an ongoing court case, the uncertainty about work and home, and the toll it has taken on your health are real, and God sees and cares about each part of it.

In Scripture we are taught that when we put our faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, God adopts us into His own family. We become His children and heirs. Even as children we are still growing and under His care and instruction, learning to walk in His ways while we wait for the full inheritance He has promised. That relationship is the most important favor any of us can know, and it is the place to stand when earthly courts feel uncertain.

Human courts are limited. A judge or jury is tasked with deciding guilt or innocence and then imposing a sentence, often without fully weighing every circumstance or motive. God is not limited in that way. He is the perfect Judge who sees all truth, who is not swayed by persons or pressure, and who does not show favoritism or seek to curry favor with anyone. Our prayer therefore is not simply that a charge would disappear, but that truth would be clearly known, that what is false would be shown to be without proof, and that the court would act with fairness and impartiality.

Scripture gives us the picture of Esther standing in the inner court before the king and finding grace and favor in his sight. We can ask God for favor before those in authority, but we also remember that drawing near to God is an ascending walk that calls for holiness. The priests who entered the inner court were clothed in linen, a picture of purity and separation unto God. In the same way, God calls us to come to Him with honest and clean hearts, confessing sin and seeking to live according to His design.

That is why, with love and concern, we must speak to the living arrangement you described. The Bible teaches that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual union and sharing a home as husband and wife belong within that covenant. A common law arrangement is not the same as this covenant in God's eyes, and we cannot ask God to bless or affirm what is outside His design. Our prayer for your son and for the woman involved is first for salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and then for repentance and a desire to honor God with their lives. If they intend to continue together, we pray they would seek godly counsel and pursue marriage as God ordained, or otherwise live in a way that is pure before Him. God is deeply interested in the family and in restoring what is broken, and He promises to be with those who return to Him and walk in His ways.

We will pray for your son's upcoming court appearance, that God would grant wisdom to all involved, that the truth of what happened that night would be made plain, and that justice tempered with mercy would be done. We pray for protection over his employment and housing, but even more that he would find his security in Christ. We pray for you as his mother, that God would strengthen you physically and emotionally, give you peace that passes understanding, and remind you daily that you are upheld by your Father who has adopted you.

We also encourage your son to continue to walk honestly, to keep every commitment required by the court, to speak truthfully, and to use this season to seek the Lord earnestly, turning from any way that does not please Him and trusting fully in Jesus.

May the Lord grant you both a deeper trust in His perfect justice and unfailing love, and may His will be done in this matter for His glory and for your good.
