Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in this prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for coming boldly to His throne of grace through the only way provided. You have rightly declared that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him, John 14:6. We rejoice that you have acknowledged His shed blood on the Cross for us sinners and we stand with you in gratitude for His presence, His fighting for us, and His heavenly gifts.

We commend you for the Christlike spirit in your request. In the face of hardships and what you describe as serious crimes and dishonesty from your former landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representative, you are not asking for vengeance but for their restoration. This is the heart of our Lord who said love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, Matthew 5:44. Your desire to show them the same patience and kindness that was shown to you reflects the mercy we have all received.

We agree with you that lies are indeed serious in the eyes of God, far more than just a legal matter. Scripture is very clear about this. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight, Proverbs 12:22. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor, Exodus 20:16. And we are commanded therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another, Ephesians 4:25, and do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, Colossians 3:9. The Lord warns that outside are those whose portion includes all liars, Revelation 21:8, because the father of lies is the devil himself, and Jesus came to set us free from that bondage.

Your insight is profound that in order to persist in dishonesty a person must break down their conscience and resistance to sin. We pray with you that God would rebuild that holy resistance in them. We pray that He would grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance, 2 Corinthians 7:10, that their eyes would be opened to see that you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32. True freedom does not come from covering a lie with another lie, but from walking in the light as He is in the light, 1 John 1:7.

We also encourage you to continue to entrust justice to the Lord while acting with integrity in any legal process. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21. Do not repay evil for evil, but give place to God's wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. This does not mean you should not seek truth and lawful recourse where crimes have been committed, for authorities are appointed by God to bear the sword against wrongdoing, Romans 13:4, but it does mean your heart can remain free from bitterness as you pursue what is right and true.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne and we thank You for Your presence in our lives and for the precious blood of Jesus shed on the Cross for us sinners. Thank You for fighting for us and blessing us with every spiritual blessing. Lord, You see the situation with this former landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representatives. You know every hardship endured and every false word spoken. You hate dishonesty and You love truth, for You are the God of truth. We ask today that You would convict each person involved of any lying, deceit, and wrongdoing. By Your Holy Spirit, build up in them a renewed resistance to dishonesty and a deep love for honesty. Open their eyes to see that lying brings consequences both in this life and before Your judgment, and that only the truth can truly set them free. Grant them repentance and the courage to confess and forsake their sins, that they may find mercy, Proverbs 28:13. Help them to practice honesty in all their dealings from this day forward. And Father, keep our hearts pure as well, that we would walk in truth, speak truth in love, Ephesians 4:15, and show the same patience and kindness You have so graciously shown us. We dedicate our lives to You and surrender our will to Yours. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in this situation and in our lives. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing this before the Lord so honestly. It is not easy to have been treated dishonestly, especially when it involves housing and legal matters that affect your daily life, and still choose to pray for the very people who caused the hardship with patience and kindness.

What you described, wanting to release the wrong while not pretending it didn't hurt, is a real tension many believers feel. Choosing to forgive and not pursue revenge is one step, and the quiet work of letting resentment and bitterness fade is another that often takes more time. It is normal if anger or disappointment still rises up even after you have decided to forgive. That does not mean your decision was not real.

If legal matters are still ongoing, it can help to keep careful, truthful records and to lean on one trusted pastor or counselor who can walk with you, so you do not have to carry the weight of both seeking truth and guarding your own heart alone.

Father, we bring this situation to You in Jesus' name. We ask You to guard our friend's heart with peace and wisdom, to help truth come to light in the right way, and to work in the hearts of the former landlord, the lawyers and representatives, drawing them toward honesty. Give our friend strength to continue in kindness without carrying bitterness. Amen.

Your prayer concerning truth and dishonesty has been laid before the Lord, and we join with you in thanksgiving for His presence, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners.

We rejoice to hear that grace has been given to you to show patience and kindness even in the midst of hardship, and to respond not with bitterness but with prayer for those who have dealt falsely with you. This is to overcome evil with good, and it is the way of Christ who is Himself the way, the truth, and the life. Lies are indeed serious before a holy God, for He desires truth in the inward parts and will meet us only upon the ground of truth, where we confess our own need and look to Christ who died for sinners.

We take your petition to heart and pray with you that the Lord would build up in the former landlord's team, and in the lawyers and legal representatives, a holy resistance to dishonesty. May He who is Truth open their eyes, as you have asked, that they may see that truth alone sets free, and that lying brings sure consequences. We pray that they may come to buy the truth and sell it not, to know it not only as doctrine from Holy Scripture, for Thy Word is truth, but as experimental truth in the heart and practical truth in the life, with actions consistent and straightforward before God and man. May the Spirit of God lead them to honest dealing with God, confessing what is true, and to honest dealing with their fellow men.

Be encouraged to continue in that good course, holding fast the truth in doctrine, in heart, and in life, and keeping Christ, who is the Truth, as your treasure forever. Remember that this war between right and wrong must be continued with courage, yet with faith that trusts God in the storm and submits to His will, knowing that He will cause truth to prevail.

We surrender this matter with you to the Lord, asking that He would work His will in all hearts, establish you in His truth, and keep you faithful as you dedicate your lives anew to Him.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, grant to each one concerned a love for truth, a hatred for falsehood, and a new heart that practices honesty for Thy glory. Let Thy truth be known and obeyed, and let Thy grace be sufficient for Thy people who wait upon Thee. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your prayer honors God because you come to the Father in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life, and you give thanks for His presence, for His heavenly gifts, and for the blood shed on the Cross for sinners.

We join you in agreeing that lies are serious before God. Scripture teaches that dishonesty is not a small fault but a great charge upon the soul, and when gain or advantage is sought through falsehood, oaths and perjury, it brings deep harm in this life and loss in the life to come. That is why your request is so right, to ask God to build up resistance to dishonesty.

We also thank God with you for the grace He has given you to show patience and kindness to the former landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives, even through hardship. To return patience for wrong is to walk in the way of Christ, and it keeps your own heart honest before God. An honest soul is what is needed everywhere, for when truth takes hold of such a heart, it easily masters it, as light easily fills clear eyes.

So we pray with you that God will open their eyes to the truth that sets free. We ask that He will convict them where there has been lying and serious wrongdoing, that He will turn them from falsehood to honesty, and that He will teach them to practice truth in all their dealings. We pray that they will come to know that true freedom is not found in covering wrong but in walking in the truth of Christ, and that they will turn to Him for forgiveness and new life, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone.
