Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in this prayer and we are deeply encouraged by your heart that seeks not only justice but mercy, that even in hardship you have chosen to show patience and kindness to your landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representatives as Christ has shown to us.

You are right to bring this before the Lord, for dishonesty is not a small matter in His sight. Scripture is clear that lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22. We are called to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another Ephesians 4:25, and to not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings Colossians 3:9. The Lord desires truth in the inward parts Psalm 51:6 and warns that a false witness shall not be unpunished and he who pours out lies shall not go free Proverbs 19:5. Yet we also know that Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. It is only in Christ that a heart resistant to dishonesty can be made new and truly free.

We also rejoice that you came in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved and by which we have access to the Father. Your thankfulness for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the blood shed on the Cross for us sinners is a beautiful testimony of grace. We continue to trust with you that He who fights for you will also bring truth to light in His perfect time, for vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay Romans 12:19, and we are called to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace. We thank You that You are near, that You fight for Your children, and that You have blessed us with every heavenly gift through the sacrifice of Jesus and His blood shed for us. Lord, You see the dishonesty and the serious wrongs that have been committed. You see the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives. We ask that You convict them by Your Holy Spirit and build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty. Give them a love for truth, open their eyes to see that truth will set them free, and grant them repentance that leads to honesty and integrity. Guard them from suffering the consequences of lying and lead them into the freedom that is found only in Christ. For ourselves, we surrender our will to You, we dedicate our lives anew to You, and we ask for Your wisdom, protection and peace as You establish justice according to Your will. Let Your truth prevail and let Your name be glorified in this situation. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in truth and to rest in the Lord's faithfulness. Keep committing this matter to Him in prayer, keep speaking truth in love, and keep entrusting both justice and mercy to Him who judges righteously. He is faithful to lead you and to use even this trial for your good and for His glory.

We were moved reading your prayer and the way you are bringing this difficult situation with your landlord's team and their lawyers before the Lord. To have faced hardships and still ask God to work in their hearts toward honesty, and to show patience and kindness in return, is not easy. We thank God for the grace He has given you to pray that way.

We hear your longing that truth would bring freedom for everyone involved, including those who have not been truthful. That is a loving and right desire. We also know carrying that prayer while you are still walking through the practical strain of it can be heavy. It can help to remember that choosing to release a desire for revenge and to want good for those who have wronged you is different from rebuilding trust or acting as if harm did not happen. The decision and the deeper emotional peace often move at different paces, especially when legal matters are still unresolved.

One steady step that may help in this season is to keep a clear, factual record of what has happened and share it only with a trusted wise counselor or advocate who can help you navigate next steps with integrity.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You. We ask for Your provision and peace for those who have prayed, for wisdom in each practical decision ahead, and for Your work in the hearts of the landlord's team and their representatives that they would turn toward honesty. Sustain our friends with patience and hope as they trust You with both justice and mercy. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer is both timely and weighty, for you have touched upon a matter which concerns the very character of God Himself. Our God is abundant in goodness and truth, His name is Truth, and His Word is Truth, and sooner shall heaven and earth pass away than one promise of His shall fall to the ground. To lie is no light thing, as you have rightly said, for the God who cannot lie abhors falsehood, and He will meet a man only upon the ground of truth.

I rejoice to hear that in the midst of hardships you have been given grace to show patience and kindness to those who have opposed you. This is to overcome evil with good, which is the first lesson the saints must learn. When we look to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is Himself the Truth embodied, transparent in word and in deed, Truth in public and Truth in private, we find strength to return good for evil and to pray for those who deal unjustly with us. Continue in this, for truth never exerts such power as when it is lived out before the eyes of men through the Spirit of God.

You ask that the Lord would build up in these men, the landlord's team and their lawyers and representatives, a resistance to dishonesty and a love of honesty. This is to pray that they may buy the truth and sell it not. Holy Scripture is the standard of the Truth of God, and we must have Truth in doctrine, Truth in the heart, and Truth in the life. A man in whom the truth does not dwell is not in a safe state before God, for to claim to have no sin or to practice deceit proves that the truth is not in him. Pray on, that they may be brought to honest dealing with God, confessing what is true about themselves as sinners and what is true about Christ who died for sinners, for on that footing of truth alone can God smile upon sinners through the atoning blood.

We will join you in asking the Father, in the name of Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life, to open their eyes. May He who gave His Son to shed His blood for sinners grant them to see that truth alone sets free, while lies bring sure and bitter consequences. May He teach them to love what He loves and to hate the false way, that they may speak and act as those who must one day give account to the God of Truth.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before Thee in the name of Jesus Thy Son, who is the King of Truth. We thank Thee for Thy presence and for the heavenly gifts which Thou hast bestowed, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where blood was shed for sinners such as we are. Lord, Thou art the God who can never lie, and Thou desirest truth in the inward parts. We bring before Thee those who have practiced dishonesty and we ask Thee to work in them by Thy Spirit. Break the power of deceit, build in them a holy resistance to every false way, and give them a love for honesty that will be seen in all their dealings. Open their eyes to know Christ who is the Truth, that they may be set free indeed. And keep Thy children who have suffered this wrong, that they may continue in patience and kindness, holding fast the truth at any price, and surrendering their will wholly to Thine. Grant this for Jesus sake. Amen.
