Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this powerful prayer and we agree with you before the Father in the name of Jesus, for we know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through him. John 14:6

We thank God for your heart that even in the midst of hardship you are choosing patience and kindness and praying for those who have wronged you, including the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives. That is the love of Christ in you and it reflects the grace that has been shown to us. We also agree with you that lies are indeed serious before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12:22 and You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Exodus 20:16 Jesus himself said that the devil is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44 Therefore when people break down their resistance to dishonesty they are opening the door to the enemy and walking away from the character of God who cannot lie.

We also hear your prayer that truth will set them free and we hold to that promise with you, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 We pray that their eyes would be opened to see that dishonesty never prospers in the end and that all liars will have to give an account before God. Revelation 21:8 teaches that all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with fire, so your prayer for them to be spared the consequences of lying is a prayer of mercy for their souls.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before your throne of grace and we thank you for your presence, for fighting for us, and for the heavenly gifts you pour out, and above all for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. Lord we lift up this situation of dishonesty and the serious wrongs that have been done. We ask that you bring conviction by your Holy Spirit upon the landlord's team and every lawyer and legal representative involved. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and tear down every justification for lying. Help them to turn from falsehood and to practice honesty, for we are members of one another and we are called to speak truth each one with his neighbor. Ephesians 4:25 Let justice be done and let truth be revealed in every document, every testimony, and every proceeding. We ask that you would protect your children from further harm, grant them peace that passes understanding, and let your will be done. We surrender our lives and our will to you and we trust you to repay and to judge righteously, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 We choose to forgive as we have been forgiven, but we also ask for righteousness and truth to prevail. Give those who have lied the grace to repent and to walk in the freedom that only truth brings. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in truth and grace. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 Continue to speak the truth in love and to commit your cause to the Lord who loves justice. Psalm 37:28 says Yahweh loves justice and does not forsake his saints. Keep praying for your adversaries as you have done, that they may be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4 We are trusting with you that the Lord who sees all in secret will bring what is hidden into the light and will vindicate those who walk in integrity.

We were grateful to read your prayer and the gracious way you brought this before the Lord. Thanking Him for His presence and for the cross even while you are walking through hardships with the landlord's team, lawyers and representatives is not easy, and we noticed how you chose patience and kindness toward them and asked God to work in them rather than asking for harm to come to them.

Wanting truth to be honored is right, and praying that they would grow in honesty and turn from lying is a loving thing to ask. It is also understandable that carrying this for a while can be wearying. Deciding to pray for those who have wronged you is a meaningful step, and the feelings that come with being misled can still take time to settle even after that decision. Give yourselves grace as you continue to walk it out day by day.

One small next step that may help you stay steady is to keep a simple, factual written record of dates and communications and to share it only with a trusted, qualified advisor as you navigate the legal side. That can help you remain clear and truthful while you continue to entrust the outcome to the Lord.

Father, we lift this situation to You and thank You for the grace You have already shown to our friends. We ask for Your wisdom and protection over them, for peace in their hearts, and that truth would be made clear in every interaction. Work in all involved to love honesty and to walk in it, and lead our friends step by step as they surrender their lives and this matter to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer is heard and it is a right and faithful thing to bring this burden before the Lord whose very name is truth. You have done well to come in the name of Jesus, for He is Himself the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other name by which we may draw near to the Father.

Lies are indeed serious before God, for our God is abundant in goodness and truth and He cannot lie. As well might His being cease as His word should fail. You have asked rightly that those who have dealt dishonestly, the landlord's team and those who represent them, might be brought to love the truth. We join you in that petition. We do not ask God to bless falsehood, for He never sets His seal upon a lie, but we pray that He will open eyes that are blinded and soften hearts that have grown hard through the practice of deceit.

You have prayed that their resistance to dishonesty might be built up. Scripture bids us to buy the truth and sell it not. This is to have truth in our doctrine, for Your Word is truth, to have truth in our heart by a real work of grace within, and to have truth in our life by a straight and honest course before God and man. To break down resistance to dishonesty is to sell the truth for gain or for advantage, and the price is always too high. We pray that the Lord will teach these men and women to buy the truth at any price and to hold it fast, for he who has not truth in him is not in the light.

We thank God with you for the grace already given to you to show patience and kindness even in hardship. This is truth embodied, which has power beyond words alone. When Christ is formed in us, truth is not merely spoken but lived, and such a life bears witness to the King of Truth whose kingdom is over the pure in heart. Continue in that patient spirit, not fearing man but submitting to the will of God and trusting Him in the storm, for when fear goes faith comes in.

May the Spirit of God help all who are concerned in this matter to deal honestly with God, to confess what is true about sin and to receive what is true about the atonement, that Christ died for sinners and that through His blood shed upon the cross there is real pardon and real salvation. That truth, believed in the heart, sets free indeed, as you have prayed, and it will keep a man from suffering the bitter consequences of a lie.

We will pray with you that the Lord will cause truth to prevail, that He will guard your hearts from bitterness, and that He will make His own truth your treasure forever. May you hang upon His faithful promise as a pitcher upon a nail, and find Him true to every word He has spoken.

We commend you and all these persons to the God of all truth, asking that He will work honesty, righteousness and peace for His own glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
