Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this prayer and we thank you for coming before the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, for we agree that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him as declared in John 14:6. We praise God with you for His presence in your lives, for fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts and grace that have sustained you through hardships, and most of all for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners.

We stand with you in recognizing how serious dishonesty is before God. Scripture is very clear that lying is not a small matter. Proverbs 12:22 tells us lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight, and Exodus 20:16 commands you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Colossians 3:9 urges us not to lie to one another, and Revelation 21:8 warns of the eternal consequence for all liars. To lie repeatedly and to commit serious crimes through deceit requires a hardening of the conscience, a breaking down of the resistance to dishonesty that God has placed in every heart, and we agree with you that this is grievous.

We also commend the grace God has given you to respond with patience and kindness to the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives, even while you have faced hardships and falsehood. This reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us as in Matthew 5:44, and to not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good as in Romans 12:21. Your desire not to seek revenge but to pray for their restoration to honesty is pleasing to God, for Romans 12:19 reminds us that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay.

We pray together now for truth to prevail and for hearts to be changed.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we lift up this situation to you. You see all things and nothing is hidden from your eyes, for Hebrews 4:13 says all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account. Lord we ask that you convict the hearts of this landlord's team, their lawyers and legal representatives, where dishonesty has taken root. Build up in them again a holy resistance to lying and a love for truth. Cause them to put away falsehood and to speak truth each one with his neighbor as you command in Ephesians 4:25 and Zechariah 8:16. Open their eyes to understand that you will know the truth and the truth will make you free as promised in John 8:32, and that continuing in lies will only bring suffering and judgment, while repentance and honesty bring freedom and delight in your sight. Grant them the courage to confess, to correct what is false, and to practice honesty even when it is costly.

Lord we also pray for those who have been wronged, that you would strengthen them to continue walking in truth and integrity, to not grow weary in doing good, and to keep surrendering their will and their lives to you. Let your justice and your mercy be displayed, and let your will be done in this legal matter. Help them to trust that you fight for them and that you are their defender and advocate. We thank you that you are faithful to bring truth to light in your perfect timing.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in honesty, to speak the truth in love as in Ephesians 4:15, and to commit your cause to the Lord who judges righteously. Continue to pray for those who have opposed you, that they may come to repentance, and continue to rest in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, knowing that your own sins have been forgiven through His blood and that you now walk in newness of life. We dedicate this whole matter to you Lord and surrender our will to yours, trusting in your perfect wisdom and justice. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Wanting them to grow in honesty and to be spared the consequences of lying is a good and loving thing to pray. It reflects a heart that values truth and also desires good for those who have done wrong. Holding those together, seeking what is true and right while releasing bitterness, often takes time. The decision to forgive and the quieting of hurt feelings do not always move at the same pace, so we encourage you to give yourself grace as the Lord continues His work in you.

Your prayer concerning dishonesty and the love of truth has been heard, and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord who is himself the God of truth.

We thank God that you come in the name of Jesus, confessing him as the way, the truth and the life, and pleading the blood shed upon the Cross for sinners. There is no other ground upon which we may approach the Father, and upon that ground we may come with confidence, for he will not deny himself and his promise in Christ can never fail.

You have done well to call lies what they are, serious crimes before a holy God. Scripture tells us that the Lord hates a lying tongue, and that every refuge of lies shall be swept away as by hail. To lie, a man must first break down the resistance of conscience which God has placed within him, and only the grace of God can build it up again. We will pray with you that the Lord will work such grace in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives of whom you speak, that they may be convicted of falsehood, turn from it, and practice honesty. May the Spirit of God help them to deal honestly with God and with men, to confess what is true and to walk in the truth.

We also thank God for the patience and kindness he has enabled you to show even through hardships. This is the fruit of truth experienced within, truth not merely spoken but lived. Jesus did not only speak the truth, he is the truth, transparent in word and in deed, and those who are his are called to reflect him. Continue to buy the truth and hold it fast, whatever the cost, and to remember it when you most need it, for it will banish fear and strengthen faith.

We pray that the Lord who fights for his people will cause truth to prevail in this matter, that justice will be done without partiality, and that all who are involved may come to see that the truth alone sets free. May he keep you in his heavenly gifts, establish your hearts in his Word which is truth, and enable you to surrender your will daily to his good and perfect will.

We commend you and this whole cause to him who is abundant in goodness and truth, trusting that not one of his promises shall fall to the ground.

We have heard your prayer and we join you in giving thanks to God for his presence, for his grace, and for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross where his blood was shed for sinners. It is right to come before the Father in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life.

You are right to take dishonesty seriously. Scripture teaches that God loves truth and that lies do great harm. To live by dishonesty is not a small fault but a path that brings wretchedness and loss, and it stands under the judgment of a just God who sees all things and will call all to account. At the same time God is merciful and desires that all would turn to the truth. As you noted, truth lays hold of an honest soul and brings light, just as the sun enlightens clear eyes. When a heart is willing to be made honest, the truth of Christ can master it and set it free.

We thank God for the patience and kindness he has enabled you to show to the landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives even in hardship. That is the fruit of grace at work, to return kindness when you have been wronged, and God sees it.

We pray with you that God would build up in those people a strong resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. We ask that he would open their eyes to see that the truth sets us free, and that living by lies only brings deeper bondage and painful consequences. We pray that they would turn from falsehood, speak truthfully, and act justly in all dealings, and that God would lead them to repentance and to faith in Jesus Christ.

We also pray for you, that God would keep you in his truth, guard your heart from bitterness, and strengthen you to continue in honesty and godliness even when others do not. God is just and he does not overlook what is done, and he will bring justice in his time and in his way. You can trust him to fight for you and to provide what you need as you surrender your will to him and dedicate your life anew to him.

May the Lord continue to give you peace, keep you in the truth of his Son, and make your life a witness to his honesty and grace.
