Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus and we thank you for coming boldly to His throne of grace. We rejoice that you have acknowledged that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, for as it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. It is only through His shed blood on the cross that we sinners have forgiveness and access to the Father, and we thank God with you for that heavenly gift and for His presence and blessing in your lives even through hardships.

We agree with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture is very clear that dishonesty is not a small matter, but an abomination to the Lord. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22. We are also taught, Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25 and Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. Colossians 3:9. The enemy is the father of lies, but our God is a God of truth, and those who persist in dishonesty will suffer consequences, for all liars will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. Revelation 21:8.

We are encouraged by your heart to show patience and kindness even to the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives who have wronged you. This reflects the grace that has been shown to you. We pray that you will continue to speak the truth in love, Ephesians 4:15, and not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21. To break down resistance to dishonesty in order to commit further wrong is a hardening of the heart, and we join you in praying that God will instead build up in them a holy resistance to lying and a love for honesty. We are reminded, These are the things that you shall do, Speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates. Zechariah 8:16.

We pray together now for this situation.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this matter of dishonesty before You. You see all that has been done in secret and in the legal dealings surrounding this landlord and his team. Lord, You desire truth in the inward parts, and we ask that You convict every heart involved of any lie, deception, or falsehood. Open their eyes to see that truth will set them free, for as Your Son said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32. Build up in them a strong resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty in all their words and dealings. Let Your Holy Spirit bring repentance where there has been deceit, and let justice and truth prevail. Give to those who have been wronged continued grace to show patience and kindness without compromising on truth, and guard their hearts from bitterness. Help them to surrender their will to Yours daily and to trust that You fight for them and will vindicate what is right in Your perfect time. We dedicate all of our lives anew to You and ask for Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in integrity, continuing to walk in truth while entrusting the outcome to the Lord who judges righteously. Keep speaking truth, keep praying for those who oppose you, and keep surrendering your will to Him, for He is faithful to honor those who honor Him.

We were struck by the grace in your prayer. You have been through real hardship with your landlord's team and legal representatives, and yet you are asking God to build honesty in them rather than simply asking for vindication. That kind of patience and kindness takes strength, and we want to stand with you in it.

One insight that has helped others in a similar place is understanding that forgiveness has two parts. One is a decision to release the drive for revenge and to desire good for the other person before God, which you are already doing. The other is the slower emotional healing from the hurt of being lied to, which can come and go over time. You can hold to that decision while still honestly pursuing what is true and right through proper channels. Choosing to forgive does not mean you ignore dishonesty or stop seeking a truthful resolution.

It may help to keep clear, factual records of what has happened and to stay connected to a trusted pastor or wise counselor as you navigate the legal process, so you do not carry this alone.

Father, we bring this situation before You in Jesus' name. We ask You to guard this one's heart with peace, to strengthen their resolve to walk in truth, and to work in the hearts of all involved that honesty would be valued. Give wisdom for each next step and grace for each day. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, who is Himself the way, the truth and the life.

It is right and good that you give thanks for His presence and for the heavenly gifts which come from His hand, and above all for the sacrifice of the cross where His blood was shed for sinners. Upon that ground alone we may come to the Father, confessing that we have sinned and pleading the atoning blood which alone can make us clean. As it has been truly said, God will meet you where the truth is and nowhere else, when you confess that you are unworthy of His pity and when you look to Christ who died for sinners, that is the truth on God's side which enables Him to smile upon sinners.

You have spoken truly that lies are a serious crime before the Lord. The Scriptures declare that lying lips are an abomination to Him, and that He is a God of truth. To break down resistance to dishonesty is to harden the heart against His light. Therefore we pray with you that the Lord will build up in these men, the landlord's team and those who represent them in law, a holy resistance to all falsehood and a love for honesty. We do not ask God to bless dishonesty, for He cannot bless what He condemns, but we ask Him to open their eyes to see that truth will set men free, while lying brings its own bitter consequences both in this life and before His judgment seat.

We thank God for the grace He has already given you to show patience and kindness even in hardship, overcoming evil with good. Continue in this, for this is the way of Christ. Buy the truth and sell it not. Buy it in doctrine from the Holy Scripture which is the standard of the truth of God, buy it in the heart as an inward and experimental reality, and buy it in the life by walking in a right and straightforward course. Have truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, truth in the life, and Christ who is the truth to be your treasure forever.

We pray now for you and for those who have wronged you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we ask that Thou wouldst cause truth to prevail in this matter. Convict where there has been lying and give grace to speak and to act honestly. Guard Thy children from fear of man and strengthen their faith to trust Thee in the storm. Let Thy Word be their guide and Thy Spirit lead them into all honesty, that in every dealing they may be found faithful. Help them to surrender their will to Thine and to rest in Thy power to fight for them and to provide for them. Grant that all involved may come to honest dealing with Thee, confessing sin and finding mercy through the blood of Christ. In Jesus name we ask this, Amen.

Your prayer in the name of Jesus has been heard and we join our voices with yours before the Father. You have spoken truly that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and that by His blood shed on the Cross sinners are cleansed and given heavenly gifts. It is right to give thanks for His presence and for His fighting for you even in hardship.

You are right to call lies what they are. Dishonesty is not a small fault. When buying and selling and legal dealings are mixed with falsehood and oaths and perjury, great harm is gathered both for this life and for the life to come. Scripture reminds us that truth will set us free, and that we are created anew in righteousness and holiness of truth, not in figure but in reality through Christ.

We pray with you for the landlord's team and for the lawyers and legal representatives. We ask the Lord to give them an honest soul. Truth easily masters a soul that is candid and open, as the sun easily enlightens clear eyes. Where the eyes are weak the fault is not with the sun but with the infirmity, and where truth is not received the fault is not with truth but with the lack of candor. So we ask God to clear their sight, to build up in them a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty, that they may turn from lying and practice truthfulness and so be spared its consequences.

We also thank God for the grace He has already given you to show patience and kindness to those who have opposed you, even as patience and kindness were shown to you. Continue in that quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, not only holding right doctrine but living it, that your life may support your confession.

We surrender this whole matter to the Lord with you. May He who is the truth keep you in His truth, guard you from all deceit, and cause His will to be done. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who alone is our salvation. Amen.
