Dishonesty

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father that Jesus is indeed the way, the truth and the life, and that through the blood shed on the Cross we sinners have forgiveness and access to His presence. Your prayer is right to take dishonesty seriously, for God loves truth and calls His people to walk in righteousness and holiness of truth.

We have heard your burden concerning the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives, and the hardships you have faced through falsehood. It is a grace from God that you have been able to respond with patience and kindness even while suffering wrong, and we pray He will keep your heart from bitterness and guard you in quiet and peaceable godliness and honesty.

We agree with you in asking the Lord to work in the hearts of those who have chosen lies. Scripture teaches that truth easily masters an honest soul, but when the soul lacks candor it resists the light. So we pray that God would make their hearts honest and soft, that they would see the great harm of oaths and perjuries and falsehoods, especially in matters of buying and selling and legal dealings, and that they would turn from dishonesty before they suffer its full consequences. Wealth or advantage gained dishonestly brings wailing both now and at the judgment, while honesty, even when it costs, is honored before God.

We ask that the Lord would open their eyes to know that truth will set them free, convict them of sin, lead them to repentance and to practice honesty in all they say and do, and restore what has been taken by deceit. And we ask that He would strengthen you to continue in truth, to commit your cause to Him who judges justly, and to surrender your will daily to Christ.

May the Lord fight for you, bless you with heavenly gifts, keep you steadfast in His truth, and bring forth justice and mercy according to His wisdom. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
