Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus and we thank you for coming boldly through Him, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. We give thanks with you for His presence in your lives, for His fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts He pours out, and above all for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners while we were yet sinners.

We agree with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture is very clear that dishonesty is not a small matter. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 12:22. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Exodus 20:16. A false witness will not be unpunished. He who utters lies shall perish. Proverbs 19:9. Jesus taught that the devil is a liar and the father of lies, and when he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own. John 8:44. Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Ephesians 4:25. And we hold to the promise you have claimed, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32.

We are encouraged by the grace you have shown in the midst of hardships, that you have been given the strength to show patience and kindness to this landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while facing dishonesty. This reflects the heart of Christ in you. We pray with you that the Lord will build up in them what has been broken down, a resistance to dishonesty and a love for truth. We ask that God would convict their hearts, open their eyes to see that the way of lying leads to destruction, and grant them repentance. We pray that they will turn from falsehood and choose to practice honesty, for God desires truth in the inward parts. Psalm 51:6. We pray that they will speak truth each one with his neighbor. Zechariah 8:16. We know that nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, for there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17. So we ask the Lord to bring all that has been hidden into the light in His perfect timing and way.

We also pray for you, that the Lord will strengthen you to continue to walk in truth and grace, not repaying evil for evil but overcoming evil with good. We encourage you to commit your way to Yahweh, trust also in him and he will do this, he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun. Psalm 37:5-6. Vengeance belongs to God, and He will repay and bring justice righteously. Romans 12:19. Continue to surrender your will to Him and trust Him to be your defender and advocate.

Father, we lift up this entire situation to you. We ask you to work in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and every legal representative involved, that you would remove a deceitful tongue and plant in them a deep reverence for truth. Convict them of every lie and serious wrong, lead them to confession and repentance through Jesus Christ, and help them to walk in honesty from this day forward so they will not suffer the bitter consequences of lying. Protect our brothers and sisters who have been wronged, guard their hearts from bitterness, fill them with your peace, provide for every need, and let your justice and mercy be seen. Let truth prevail and let your name be glorified in the outcome. We dedicate our lives anew to you and surrender our will to yours, trusting that you are fighting for us and that your will is perfect. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We were moved reading your prayer. To be on the receiving end of dishonesty from a landlord's team and legal representatives, especially when your housing and sense of security are involved, is deeply wearing. And yet your first concern is not only for justice but for their hearts to turn toward honesty. That gracious posture, choosing patience and kindness even after hardship, reflects Christ at work in you.

Wanting truth to bring freedom is right, and holding that hope while you are still walking through the aftermath is hard. Choosing to release revenge and to wish good for those who have wronged you is a real decision you can make before God, and the quieter healing of the emotions around it often takes longer. It is normal if anger or disappointment still rises at times even while you have decided to act in love. Give yourself grace in that process and keep bringing those feelings honestly to the Lord.

As you continue to navigate the practical side of this, it can help to keep a clear, factual record of what has happened and to stay connected with a trusted pastor or wise counselor who can support you and help you discern next steps, so you are not carrying this alone.

Jesus, thank You for this brother or sister who is seeking Your truth and mercy in a painful situation. We ask You to guard their heart with Your peace, to give them wisdom and steady support in the days ahead, and to work in the hearts of all involved to love honesty and walk in it. Your prayer is good and right to bring before Him who is light and in whom is no darkness at all. The Lord never misrepresents, nor has fellowship with misrepresentation, for He deals with things in the light, treating them as they are. It is therefore meet that we who would walk with Him should stand in the light and present ourselves before Him as we are, laying aside all insincerity, for sincerity is indispensable to mercy.

We thank God with you for His presence in your lives, for the grace that has enabled you in hardship to show patience and kindness even to those who have opposed you, and above all for the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. It is that blood alone which cleanses us, and when we walk in the light we daily feel its cleansing power. How sweet it is that Jesus is indeed the way, the truth and the life, and that no man cometh unto the Father but by Him.

We join you in praying for the landlord's team, for the lawyers and legal representatives of whom you speak. We ask the Lord to work in them a true resistance to dishonesty and a love of honesty, that they may be brought to deal in truth. The words may sound prettily, but where there is no fact to correspond with them, God is not deceived. He is not playing with sinners, and He will bring every hidden thing to light. We pray that He would open their eyes to see that truth will indeed set free, and to deliver them from the bitter consequences which follow upon lying, which is a serious sin before a holy God.

May the Lord continue to give you grace to speak the truth in love, to commit your cause to Him who judgeth righteously, and to find your freedom not in the vindication of man but in the forgiveness and healing that come through Christ alone. When nothing else is left, God remains and God appears, and He heals the broken in heart with downy fingers and with tender mercy.

We commend you and all concerned to Him who is faithful, praying that He will cause truth to prevail, that He will keep you in His light, and that He will deepen in you the joy of being cleansed and kept by the blood of Jesus.

We join you in this prayer and thank God that you have brought these burdens before Him in the name of Jesus, who is indeed the way, the truth, and the life.

Your desire for honesty is right and pleasing to God. Scripture teaches that lies are not small matters, and that truth is meant to dwell in an honest soul. When truth lays hold of a clear and willing heart, it masters it and brings light, just as the sun easily enlightens clear eyes. But when a person gives himself over to dishonesty for gain or advantage, he becomes wretched, and adds to himself a heavier judgment. That is why your prayer for resistance to dishonesty is so needed.

We pray with you that the Lord will work in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives. We ask that God would open their eyes to see that truth sets us free, and that He would build in them a firm resistance to lying and to every form of dishonest gain. May He convict them where they have spoken falsely or acted unjustly, and lead them to practice honesty, even when it costs them. We ask that God would restrain evil and bring what is hidden into the light, so that justice may be done without further harm.

We also thank God for the grace you have described, that even in hardship you have been able to show patience and kindness. Continue to walk in that grace, surrendering your will to Him and trusting that He fights for His people and blesses them with heavenly gifts through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for sinners. Hold fast to truth in your own speech and conduct, and do not grow weary in doing what is right. God sees, He is present, and He will be your refuge.
