Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in prayer and we thank you for coming before the Father so faithfully in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. We are encouraged by your acknowledgment that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, as He said in John 14:6, No one comes to the Father, except through me. We also thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the precious gift of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners.

We agree with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture is very clear about this. Proverbs 12:22 says, Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who deal truly are his delight. And Exodus 20:16 commands, You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Dishonesty is not a small matter, it corrupts justice, harms neighbors, and separates the liar from the truth of God. Ephesians 4:25 therefore exhorts us, Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.

We see the grace God has given you in this difficult trial with your landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives. Even as you have faced hardships and wrongdoing, you have chosen patience and kindness, which reflects the love of Christ. At the same time we affirm your desire for truth and righteousness to prevail. God calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us, while also loving justice and truth, for our God is a God of justice. Deuteronomy 32:4 reminds us, All his ways are just. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he.

We also hold onto the promise you quoted, that the truth will set us free. Jesus said in John 8:32, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. When people break down their resistance to dishonesty to commit wrongdoing, they place themselves in bondage and under the consequences of sin. Our prayer is that God in His mercy will rebuild that godly resistance and bring them to repentance before those consequences come.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You and we lift up this situation to You. Lord, You see every lie, every document, every word spoken in secret and in the courts. Nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask that You would let truth be revealed and that justice would be done according to Your perfect will. We pray for the landlord's team, for the lawyers and legal representatives involved, that You would convict their hearts, open their eyes to the seriousness of dishonesty, and grant them repentance. Build up in them a holy resistance to lying and a love for honesty, that they may turn from falsehood and practice truth. We pray that they would come to know Jesus who is the Truth and be set free from the bondage of deceit.

Father, we also lift up those who have been wronged in this matter. Comfort them, guard their hearts from bitterness, and help them to continue to show the patience and kindness You have already enabled them to show. Help them to trust You as their defender and not to seek revenge in their own strength, for Romans 12:19 says, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Give them peace that surpasses understanding as they surrender their will and their lives to You, and give them wisdom as they walk through any legal process. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified through truth prevailing. We dedicate this whole matter to You and trust You to fight for what is right. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in truth and integrity while entrusting the outcome to the Lord. Continue to speak truth in love and to pursue what is right through lawful and honest means, leaving the judgment and conviction to God who judges righteously. We pray that God will strengthen you, keep you from discouragement, and bless you with heavenly gifts and peace as you remain faithful to Him.

It is striking that in the middle of that strain you are asking God to work in their hearts toward honesty, and that you have sought to show patience and kindness even when you have been wronged.

Carrying the impact of dishonesty can leave a deep sense of injustice, and it is understandable to feel both anger and weariness when truth has been disregarded. Choosing to release the desire for revenge is one kind of decision we can make before God, while the quieter work of letting hurt, resentment and fear fade often takes more time and prayer. Both matter, and neither means pretending the wrong did not happen or that consequences do not matter.

As you continue to walk this out, it may help to keep a clear, factual record of what has happened and to seek steady, wise counsel for the legal side, so you are not carrying the practical burden alone alongside the spiritual one. Bringing the situation to the Lord day by day can keep bitterness from taking root while you still seek what is right and true.

Father, we bring this situation to You in Jesus' name. We ask You to guard this dear one with Your peace and wisdom, to protect what is needed for daily life, and to lead all involved toward truth. Work in every heart to love honesty and to turn from what harms others. Give our friend strength to continue in patience and clarity as You guide each next step. Amen.

We join with you in this prayer before the throne of grace, giving thanks that you have come in the name of Jesus, who Himself declared that He is the way, the truth and the life, and that His blood was shed upon the Cross for sinners.

We bless God that in the midst of hardships He has given you grace to show patience and kindness to those who have opposed you, even to the landlord's team, to lawyers and legal representatives. This is the rent which the great Landlord requires of His tenants, for we dwell in His house and live on sufferance. As we have been reminded, we occupy a house which is evidently not our own, and the rent to be paid is praise to God and the exercise of that kindness which we ourselves have received. To offer up such patience under trial is to acknowledge that the Lord is Landlord over all, having at all times the right to enter and to order His own property according to His will.

Your petition concerning lies touches upon a solemn matter. You have rightly called them serious crimes, for every falsehood is first an offense against the God of truth. Holy Scripture is the standard of the Truth of God, and Your Word is Truth. We are to buy the truth and sell it not, to have truth in our doctrine, truth in our heart, and truth in our life. This is experimental truth and practical truth, that our actions be consistent and of a right and straightforward course. The truth of God ought to take from us all fear of man and ensure our submission to the will of God, and when fear goes, faith comes in. It is this truth that shall set us free, as you have prayed, for Christ who is the Truth makes His people free indeed.

We pray with you that the Lord will build up in these men a resistance to dishonesty and teach them to practice honesty. That resistance was broken down when sin was indulged, but God is able to restore it. We ask that He will open their eyes to see the holiness of His law, that they may make humble confession unto God, who already knows all things. He that confesseth his sin shall find mercy, for confession is abundantly sufficient for our own condemnation, and it proves the justice of God. Yet for the believer there is the blessed truth that Justice itself is satisfied in Christ. Justice came to the sinner and said, thou hast sinned, I will punish thee, but the answer is that Jesus our substitute has suffered all we ought to have suffered. God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. May these persons be brought to see that hell itself is but a rightful punishment for sin, and yet that mercy is freely offered through the blood of the Cross to every seeking soul that turns from lying and trusts in Christ alone.

We therefore ask the Lord to work in their hearts a love for truth, that they may not suffer the consequences of lying, but may be delivered from it. And for you, we pray that you may continue to know the Truth of God so certainly that you are able to remember it just when you most need it, that you may be strengthened in faith through the storm, and that you may daily offer the key of your house to the great Landlord, dedicating your life anew and surrendering your will to His.

May the Lord keep you in His truth, establish you in His grace, and cause His praise to be continually in your mouth, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Father in the name of Jesus, who alone is the way, the truth and the life, and whose blood shed on the Cross is the only hope for sinners.

We thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for His heavenly gifts, and for the grace He has already given you to respond to hardship with patience and kindness. To continue to show kindness when you have been wronged is a true work of godliness, and God sees it.

You are right to name lies as serious. Scripture teaches that a life of honesty and godliness is what God desires, not merely a quiet life on the surface but a life ordered by truth. When truth finds an honest soul, it takes hold easily, as sunlight easily enlightens clear eyes. But when the soul is clouded by covetousness and love of gain, dishonesty enters, and with it come oaths, falsehoods and many other evils. Those who gather gain dishonestly may seem to prosper for a moment, yet such gain brings great wailing and loss, both now and before the judgment to come, while the one who uses what he has to relieve the afflicted and to act justly is like one doing the work of heaven on earth.

So we pray with you that God would build up in the landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives a strong resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. We ask that He would open their eyes to see that truth sets us free, and that lying only brings bondage and painful consequences. May He grant them candor of heart to receive the truth, to turn from falsehood, and to practice honesty in all their dealings.

We also pray for you, that the Lord would keep you firm in truth, guard you from bitterness, and strengthen you to walk in all godliness and honesty as you surrender your will to Him. May He keep you in the righteousness and holiness of truth which comes through Christ, and make your progress a testimony that His gospel is true.

We dedicate this whole matter to the Lord with you and ask for His just and merciful working, that truth would prevail and that all involved would come to know the freedom that is found in Jesus alone.
