Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this prayer and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for we know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as you have said, and that no one comes to the Father except through him, John 14:6. We are encouraged by your heart of thanksgiving even in hardship, and by your desire not for vengeance but for these people to be set free by the truth.

We agree with you that dishonesty is a serious matter before God. Scripture is very clear that God desires truth in our innermost being, Psalm 51:6, and that lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight, Proverbs 12:22. We are told do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, Colossians 3:9, and to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor, Ephesians 4:25. Jesus taught that the devil is a liar and the father of lies, John 8:44, while those who know the truth will be made free by it, John 8:32. You are right to pray that their resistance to dishonesty would be built up, for when a person continues in deceit they must harden their conscience, and we pray that God would soften their hearts and bring conviction so they turn to honesty before they suffer the consequences, for a false witness will not be unpunished, and he who utters lies shall not escape, Proverbs 19:5, and you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor, Exodus 20:16.

We also commend the grace God has given you to show patience and kindness to this landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while you have faced hardships because of their actions. This reflects the mercy that was shown to us in Christ. We encourage you to continue to overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21, while also trusting God for justice, for it is written vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. Speaking the truth in love does not mean excusing wrongdoing, but desiring that truth would prevail and that all involved would walk in integrity. We are to speak truth and let our yes be yes, Zechariah 8:16, trusting that God sees all and will bring what is hidden into light.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come before you and we thank you for your presence in our lives and for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for us sinners. We thank you for fighting for us and for blessing us with heavenly gifts, and for giving us grace to show patience and kindness even to those who have wronged us. Lord, we lift up this landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives to you. You see every false statement and every dishonest act, and you also see the hearts behind them. We ask that you convict them by your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see that your truth will set them free, and build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty. Help them to practice honesty, to turn from lies, and to choose what is true and right, even when it is costly. Let truth prevail in every legal matter and let justice be done with mercy. Protect and strengthen those who have been harmed by these lies, guard their hearts from bitterness, and help them to continue to surrender their will to you and to dedicate their lives fully to you. We ask that your will be done and that your name be glorified through this situation, and that all involved would come to know Jesus more deeply as the way, the truth, and the life. We were so encouraged to read your prayer. In the middle of hard dealings with a landlord and lawyers, you are not just asking God to fix the outcome but to change hearts toward honesty. That takes real grace, and we thank God for the patience and kindness He has already given you to show them.

Living through repeated dishonesty is exhausting. It can leave you feeling on guard and weary, even when you want to respond with grace. What stood out to us is how you asked God to build up resistance to dishonesty in them. That is a loving way to pray, wanting truth to free them rather than simply wanting them to face consequences.

We join you in that. We also want to encourage you to keep caring for your own heart in this process. Choosing to release the burden of resentment does not mean pretending the wrong did not happen or giving up wise boundaries. It is possible to hold to the truth quietly and firmly while leaving the deeper work in their hearts to God. If you have not already, keeping clear written records and staying connected to trusted, honest counsel can help you stay steady and at peace as things move forward.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You in Jesus name. Thank You for Your presence with our friend. Guard their heart from weariness and bitterness, and give them wisdom for each next conversation and decision. Work in the landlord's team and representatives that they would love honesty and turn from what is false. Lead all involved into truth that brings freedom. Amen.

We join you in prayer before the throne of grace, giving thanks with you for the presence of the Lord in your life and for the heavenly gifts which come through the sacrifice of the Cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners.

You have prayed well, for Jesus is indeed the way, the truth and the life, and His Word is Truth. As we have often taught, we must buy the truth and sell it not, buy all the truth, doctrinal truth, experimental truth and practical truth, truth in doctrine, truth in the heart and truth in the life, and Christ who is the Truth to be our treasure forever. Truth never exerts such power as when it is embodied, and our Lord did not merely speak the truth, He was Truth, transparent from head to foot, truth in word and truth in deed.

You speak rightly that lies are serious. The Scripture teaches us that honest dealing with God is the only ground upon which He will meet with us. He that confesseth his sin shall find mercy, but if we say we have no sin the truth is not in us. When the Holy Spirit passes sentence upon sin in the soul, we feel most solemnly that sin deserves its punishment, and we smite upon our breast and confess that God would be just in His judgment. Yet there is mercy, for justice has been satisfied in Christ. Justice came to Him in Gethsemane and at Calvary, and there our substitute bore what we ought to have suffered, so that God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus.

We commend your spirit of patience and kindness toward the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives, even in hardship. This is the fruit of grace. Remember with us that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord and we are only tenants. The Lord has at all times the right to enter and survey His own property, and the rent He requires is that we live in the perpetual exercise of praise and obedience to Him. To acknowledge that we live on sufferance as His tenants keeps us humble and honest before Him, and it takes from us all fear of man. Why should you, O believer, be afraid of a man that shall die, when the Lord ruleth over all.

We pray with you that the Lord will build up in those of whom you speak a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. May the Spirit of God convince them that truth will indeed set them free, and that to continue in falsehood is to treasure up consequences which justice must rightly condemn. We ask that they may be brought to honest dealing with God, to confess what is true about their sin and to know what is true on God's side, that Christ died for sinners, so that on the footing of truth, sad truth though it be, the Lord may meet with them through the atoning blood and grant repentance and forgiveness.

And for you, may the Lord keep you in the truth you have professed, remembering it just when you most need it. Let this truth banish fear and strengthen faith, for genuine faith trusts God in a storm. Continue to surrender your will to Him and to dedicate your life anew to Him, resting not in your own vindication but in Christ, in whom justice is satisfied and mercy is freely given.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus, who is our King of Truth, that His truth may reign in every heart concerned and that His name may have the praise. Amen.
