Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in coming before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for lifting up this burden so faithfully and for acknowledging that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life as He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We are encouraged by your thankfulness for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the sacrifice of the cross where His blood was shed for us sinners, for without that shedding of blood there would be no forgiveness and no access to the Father.

We agree with you that lies are serious before God. Scripture is very clear that truth matters deeply to Him. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22 and we are commanded therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor Ephesians 4:25 and also do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings Colossians 3:9. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor Exodus 20:16 is part of His holy law, and we see that truthful lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary Proverbs 12:19. You prayed rightly that the truth will set us free, for Jesus said You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32.

We are moved by the grace God has given you to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representatives even while facing hardships and dishonesty. That reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you Luke 6:27-28. At the same time we affirm that showing kindness does not mean excusing dishonesty, and your prayer that God would build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them practice honesty is both loving and righteous, for to pray for them to turn from lying is to pray for their good and for their deliverance from consequences that lying brings.

We pray together now for you and for them.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus we thank You for Your presence in our lives and for the gift of Your Son who died and rose again for us. We thank You that You fight for us and that You bless us with heavenly gifts according to Your mercy. Lord, we lift up the landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives involved in this matter. You see all that has been done and said, nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask that You would convict hearts where dishonesty has taken root, that You would build up in them a holy resistance to lying and a love for truth. Open their eyes to see that truth brings freedom while lies bring bondage and judgment. Lead them to repentance and to practice honesty in all their dealings, to speak truth with their neighbor as You command in Zechariah 8:16. Grant wisdom and integrity to all in authority who will weigh these matters, that justice would be done and that Your name would be honored. For our brothers and sisters who have endured hardship, we ask for Your continued grace to walk in patience, kindness and forgiveness while also standing firm for what is true and right. Strengthen them as they have dedicated their lives to You and surrendered their will to You, and let them know Your peace that surpasses understanding as they trust in You. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We appreciate how you have brought this before the Lord with such honesty and mercy. Facing hardships with a landlord's team and lawyers would leave many people bitter, yet you are praying for their resistance to dishonesty to be strengthened and for truth to prevail. We hear both your desire for justice and your willingness to show the same patience and kindness you have received.

It makes sense that this feels heavy. Choosing to release a desire for payback and to treat others as people still valued by God is one thing, and finding quietness of heart after being wronged is often a slower process that comes and goes. Both can be real at different times, and it does not mean you have failed when painful feelings resurface. That tension is normal when you have been on the receiving end of lies.

One steady step that may help is to keep walking in the honesty you are praying for in others. Keep clear, factual notes of what has happened, keep any communication calm and truthful, and lean on a trusted pastor or wise counselor as you navigate the legal side, so you are not carrying the weight alone.

Father, we thank You for the grace these friends have shown and ask You to guard their hearts with Your peace. Work in the hearts of all involved that truth would be loved and spoken, and lead our friends with wisdom and steadiness in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join our hearts with yours in prayer before our heavenly Father, who is the God of truth and with whom there is no lie. We thank Him with you for His presence, for His fighting for His people, and for the precious blood of Jesus Christ shed on the Cross for sinners, for there is no other way of salvation but through Him who said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.

You have rightly said that lies are serious before the Lord. The Scripture declares that lying lips are an abomination to Him, and that every refuge of lies shall be swept away as hail sweeps through a false shelter. What is built upon falsehood cannot stand before the Truth who reigns. Jesus is not only a speaker of truth, He is Truth itself, transparent and holy in word and deed, and His kingdom is a kingdom of truth over those whose hearts love righteousness.

We pray with you for the landlord's team, for lawyers and legal representatives. We ask the Lord to work in their consciences by His Spirit, to build in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and a love for that which is honest and just. May He open their eyes to see that truth alone sets free, while falsehood brings bondage and judgment, and may He grant them grace to turn from every crooked way and to practice honesty in all their dealings. We ask that the Lord would let truth prevail in every proceeding, that justice would not be perverted, and that what is done in darkness would be brought to light for the good of all and the glory of God.

We thank God that in the midst of hardship He has given you grace to show patience and kindness, even as patience and kindness were shown to you. This is to overcome evil with good, and to walk as those who have fellowship with Him in sincerity. Continue to buy the truth and sell it not, to hold fast to the Word which is Truth, and to deal honestly with God, confessing your own need of His mercy while trusting wholly in the atoning blood of Christ. On that ground of truth, sad truth on our side and blessed truth on His, the Lord will meet with you and keep you.

May the Lord strengthen your faith in this storm, banish fear of man, and teach you to submit to His wise and sovereign will, knowing that He will cause all things to work for the good of those who love Him. May He keep you in His peace, guard your hearts, and cause His truth to dwell richly within you until it is embodied in your lives to His praise.

We commend you and all concerned to Him who is faithful and true, praying that He will do what is right and merciful in His perfect time.

We have received your prayer and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord with such honesty and grace.

Your words reflect a heart that loves truth because you love Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life. You are right to name lies as serious and destructive. Scripture teaches that dishonesty does not stand alone but breaks down the resistance of the conscience, and when that resistance is gone a person becomes more wretched and brings great harm upon himself and others. That is why your prayer for these people is so needed and so Christlike.

We join you in thanking God for His presence, for fighting for you, and for the gift of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. We also join you in praying for the landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives. We ask the Father to work in their hearts to build up a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty, to open their eyes to see that truth brings freedom while lying brings consequences and judgment.
