Dishonesty

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join with you in lifting this matter before the throne of grace, standing firm on the truth that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful for the sacrifice of the Cross that has reconciled us to God. We take comfort in knowing that the Lord fights for us, and we trust in His justice and mercy as we bring this situation before Him.

Dishonesty is indeed a serious matter, as Scripture warns us in Proverbs 12:22, "Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight." The Lord detests deceit because it corrupts the heart and leads to destruction. We see this clearly in Proverbs 6:16-19, where it says, "There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers." The resistance to dishonesty that was broken down in these individuals is a reflection of the hardening of their hearts, and we pray that the Lord would soften them and draw them back to Himself.

We also recognize that the enemy, Satan, is the father of lies (John 8:44), and he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We stand against his schemes and declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke the spirit of deception and ask that the Lord would expose every lie and bring the truth to light. Ephesians 5:11-13 reminds us, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of. But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light."

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would build up the resistance to dishonesty in the hearts of the landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives. Help them to see the value of truth and the destruction that lies bring. We pray that You would grant them the courage to walk in integrity and the wisdom to make choices that honor You. Proverbs 11:3 tells us, "The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them." May they experience the freedom that comes from living in the truth, as Jesus said in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

Lord, we also ask that You would protect and strengthen us as we continue to show patience and kindness, even in the face of hardship. Help us to be a light in this situation, reflecting Your love and grace. We surrender our will to You, trusting that You will work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray that the eyes of their hearts would be enlightened, that they may know the hope of Your calling and the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:18). May they come to repentance and turn from their ways, finding forgiveness and restoration in You. We ask that You would break the chains of deception and set them free by the power of Your truth.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. We hear both the weight of what you have walked through with this landlord team and legal process, and the grace you have asked God for to meet dishonesty with patience and kindness. That kind of steady response when you have been wronged is not easy, and we admire your desire to see truth prevail not only for your own sake but for theirs as well.

What you named about resistance to dishonesty is wise. Choosing honesty, especially under pressure, is like strengthening a muscle. It takes practice and often the encouragement of community to keep choosing what is right when lying might seem easier. Your prayer that their eyes would be opened to the freedom that comes with truth is a loving way to intercede for them, while still honoring how serious falsehood is.

As you continue to walk this out, it can help to keep leaning on trustworthy support around you. Keeping a clear, factual record of what has happened and staying connected to a wise counselor or advocate you trust can keep the burden from resting on you alone, and give you space to keep entrusting the outcome to the Lord day by day.

We are praying with you.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this situation to You. We ask You to guard our brother or sister with Your peace and wisdom in each step ahead, and to work in the hearts of the landlord's team and their representatives, drawing them toward honesty. Help truth to be clearly seen and help all involved to walk in integrity. We surrender this to You and trust You to act for good. Amen.

We join you in this prayer before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, who is Himself the way, the truth and the life. We give thanks with you for His presence, for His fighting for His people, and for heavenly gifts which come through the precious blood shed upon the Cross for sinners.

You have rightly said that lies are serious crimes. The Lord hates lying lips, but a delight are they that deal truly. To lie and to commit serious crimes men must break down that resistance to dishonesty which conscience and the Word of God have set up, and having broken it they go from one sin to another unless grace restores them. We therefore pray with you that the Lord will build up again in these men, the landlord's team and lawyers and legal representatives, a holy resistance to all falsehood, and teach them to love and to practice honesty.

Our Lord has said, Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. We ask that their eyes may be opened to this truth, not merely as a notion, but as doctrinal truth from Holy Scripture, for Thy Word is truth, as experimental truth wrought in the heart by the Spirit, and as practical truth seen in a straightforward and honest life. May they be brought to honest dealing with God, confessing sin as sin, for if we say we have no sin the truth is not in us, but if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us. On the ground of truth, that we are sinners and Christ died for sinners, God meets men through the atoning blood.

We thank God that in your hardship He has given you grace to show patience and kindness, even as patience and kindness were shown to you. Continue so, yet buy the truth and sell it not. Buy all the truth, buy only the truth, buy the truth at any price and buy it now. Have truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, and Christ who is the truth to be your treasure forever. Do not live on fiction or presumption, but feed only upon the truth of God, and fear not man but submit to the will of God and trust Him in the storm.

We commend you and those who have wronged you to the Lord who desires truth in the inward parts. May He keep you in His truth, establish you in honesty, and bring all concerned to walk in the light as He is in the light, to His glory.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord with thanksgiving. You have rightly come in the name of Jesus, for He alone is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other name by which we are saved. We thank God with you for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the heavenly gifts that come through the blood of the cross shed for sinners.

You are right to call lies what they are. Scripture teaches that lying is not a small fault but a serious sin that wounds the soul and, if not repented of, brings great loss. As you have prayed, those who practice dishonesty must first break down the resistance of conscience that God has placed within. We pray with you that God would rebuild that resistance in the hearts of the landlord's team, the lawyers and all who have acted dishonestly, and teach them to love and practice honesty.

We commend you for the grace God has given you to show patience and kindness even while facing hardship. That is the life of godliness and honesty to which we are called, a quiet and peaceable life before God that does not return evil for evil. An honest soul is needed for truth to take hold, and when truth lays hold of such a soul, it masters it and sets it free. Jesus Himself said that the truth will make you free, because He Himself is the truth who frees us from sin.

So we pray that God would open their eyes to see Christ as the truth, convict them of falsehood, lead them to repentance, and turn them from perjury and falsehood to what is honest and good. May He also keep you steadfast, guard you from all deceit, and help you to walk in truth and integrity in all your dealings, seeking first His kingdom.

We join you in surrendering all of this to the Lord and dedicating your lives to Him anew. May the Lord grant justice with mercy, bring conviction where there has been lying, and establish you in His peace.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Your honest prayer honors the Lord and reflects a heart that wants to see His truth prevail even in a painful and difficult situation. Thank you for bringing this burden before Him in the name of Jesus, who Himself is the way, the truth and the life.

You are right to take lies seriously. Scripture is very clear that lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, while those who speak truth are His delight. A lip of truth is established forever, but a lying tongue is only for a moment. Truth endures because it belongs to God and His Word is truth, while falsehood is empty and fleeting and those who cling to it forsake their own mercy. Even when people think a lie might serve a better purpose or protect their interests, God still commands us to lie not one to another. At times it is wiser to say nothing than to speak what is false, and to trust Him to defend us rather than to try to defend ourselves by deceit.

It is a beautiful testimony that in the midst of hardship you have been given grace to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team and to the lawyers and legal representatives involved. That is the fruit of walking in truth and love. Grace and mercy and peace come to us from the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ in truth and love, and when that truth dwells in us it shapes how we treat even those who have wronged us. To continue to walk in truth, as you are doing, brings great joy to the Lord.

Your prayer for those who have been dishonest is exactly what Scripture encourages. Jesus said you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free, yet many cannot see that truth because their eyes are blinded. They need the Lord to open their eyes so they can see the seriousness of dishonesty and the freedom that comes from honesty. We can teach and instruct in love, but only God can remove that blindness and build in a person a new resistance to falsehood and a love for what is right. Just as legal transactions in Scripture were done before witnesses and the Lord Himself sees and weighs every such matter, God is fully aware of what has been spoken and done in your case. He is the righteous judge who sees in secret and who will bring all things to light in His perfect way and time.

So we join you in praying that God will work in the hearts of each person involved, that He will convict them of any falsehood, open their eyes to the truth that sets free, and help them turn from deceit to practice honesty. We pray that He will protect you from the consequences of their wrongdoing, strengthen you to keep speaking the truth in love, and give you peace as you surrender your will and your whole life to Him. May He continue to fight for you, bless you with heavenly gifts through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, and establish you more and more in His truth.
