Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the weight of dishonesty and its destructive power in our lives and the lives of others. The scriptures are clear: "The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy" (Proverbs 12:22 WEB). Lies are not merely mistakes, they are serious offenses against God’s holy nature, for He is truth itself. Jesus declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). Without Him, there is no foundation for truth, no access to the Father, and no hope of redemption. It is only through His name that we can approach God, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB).

We lift up this situation with the landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives, asking that the Lord would break the chains of deception that have taken root in their hearts. The enemy seeks to blind minds and harden hearts, but we know that "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4 WEB). Yet, we also know that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of dishonesty in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. We declare that no weapon formed against the truth shall prosper, for the Lord is our defender.

Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those involved in this deception. Let them see the weight of their actions and the destruction they have sown. "For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light" (Luke 8:17 WEB). We pray that the fear of the Lord would grip them, for "the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10 WEB). May they turn from their ways and seek repentance, for You are "faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).

We also pray for ourselves, that we would not grow weary in doing good, even when faced with injustice. "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Help us to extend the same patience and kindness You have shown us, even to those who have wronged us. May our lives be a testament to Your grace, that others may see Your light through us.

Lord, we surrender this situation into Your hands. We trust in Your justice and Your timing. "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19 WEB). We ask that You would bring truth to light and restore what has been broken. Let Your will be done in this matter, and may Your name be glorified.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.

We were struck by the gracious way you prayed, even after hardships with the landlord's team and legal representatives, you are asking God to work in them toward honesty rather than asking only for vindication. That kind of prayer takes real strength, and we thank you for sharing it with us.

Choosing to want good for people who have hurt you through dishonesty is a meaningful step. It does not mean the hurt or the frustration disappears right away. Often the decision to release resentment and wish them well comes first, and the quieting of painful emotions follows more slowly over time, especially when the situation is still ongoing. It is understandable if you still feel weary or wary as you wait for truth to come to light.

As you continue to walk through this, it may help to keep a simple, dated record of conversations and documents and to bring a trusted, steady advisor with you to meetings or correspondence. Having another set of eyes can ease the burden and help you stay clear and calm while you entrust the outcome to the Lord.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You in Jesus' name. Thank You for Your presence with our friend and for the grace You have already given to respond with patience. We ask You to guard their heart from discouragement, to give wisdom for each next conversation, and to lead what is hidden into the light in Your way and time. Work also in the hearts of the landlord's team and their representatives, turning them toward honesty and a respect for truth. Give our friend peace as they surrender this to You. Your burden concerning dishonesty has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in prayer before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life.

We thank God with you for His presence, for His heavenly gifts, and above all for the sacrifice of the cross where the blood of Jesus was shed for sinners. It is upon that ground of truth, that Christ died for sinners, that we may come to our heavenly Father and be heard, confessing that we have sinned and owning the truth on our side while pleading the truth on His side through the atoning blood.

You have prayed rightly, for lies are indeed serious before the Lord, and the God of truth abhors falsehood. Holy Scripture is the standard of the truth of God. Your Word is truth. We are to buy the truth and sell it not, to have truth in doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, with Christ who is the truth to be our treasure forever. To buy only the truth, to buy all the truth, and to buy it at any price is wisdom, for we need the truth of God and we will never be received by Him at last unless we bring the truth in our right hand.

We join you in praying for the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives. We ask the Lord to build up in them a resistance to dishonesty and to grant them grace to practice honesty in all their dealings, that their actions may be consistent and of a right and straightforward course. May the Spirit of God open their eyes to see that truth will set them free, and that to utter falsehood is to prove that the truth is not in them. May He bring them to honest dealing with God and with man, that they may turn from lying and its consequences and walk in sincerity.

We also thank God for the grace He has already given you to show patience and kindness even in hardship, as patience and kindness were shown to you. This practical truth in the life has great power. Continue to remember the truth of God in this storm, for this truth ought to banish fear of man and strengthen faith. When everything does not go smoothly, genuine faith still trusts God. He fights for His people and His truth shall yet have the victory.

Let us pray together. O Lord, Thou who art truth itself, look upon Thy children who have surrendered their lives and will to Thee. Establish them in Thy Word which is truth. Keep them in experimental truth within and practical truth without. Convict all who deal dishonestly, and lead them to love and speak the truth. Let Thy will be done and let justice and mercy prevail. Keep us all near the gates of heaven by sincerity and truth through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We join you in this prayer before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life, and through whose blood shed on the cross we sinners have received forgiveness and heavenly gifts.

You have rightly seen that lies are not small faults but serious sins before God. Scripture teaches that dishonesty corrupts the soul and, if not repented of, leads away from the kingdom. As you have prayed, there is great need everywhere for an honest soul. When truth lays hold on such a soul, she easily masters it, as the sun easily enlightens clear eyes. But when the soul is clouded by covetousness and love of gain, it resists the light, and then come oaths and falsehoods and many other evils. To get money dishonestly is folly and brings great loss, and we pray that all involved would turn from that path.

We thank God that even in hardship He has given you grace to show patience and kindness to the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives. That quiet and peaceable spirit, lived out in godliness and honesty, is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

So we pray with you:

Heavenly Father, build up in each heart a resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. Open eyes to see that truth sets us free, and that lying brings consequences both now and before Your judgment. Grant to all parties a candor of soul to receive the truth, to speak truthfully, and to act justly in buying and selling and in all dealings. Keep us all from covetousness and deceit, and help us to live by honest labor and with care for those in need. Lead any who are still in darkness to repentance and to salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

We surrender our lives and our will to You, trusting that You fight for us and that You will bring what is hidden into light in Your perfect time. We ask this in the name of Jesus.

Thank you for sharing this honest prayer and for bringing this difficult situation before the Lord. It is right to come to the Father in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life, and to thank Him for His presence, for His fighting for you, and for the gift of forgiveness through the blood shed on the cross.

Your request reflects a sincere desire to walk in honesty even while facing hardship with your landlord's team and their legal representatives. Scripture teaches that we are to walk in honesty, purity and holiness, even when we live in the midst of a world where dishonesty is common. The good news is that God loves us and offers forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ, and He calls us to live out that new life in a way that honors Him.

It is also good to be fully honest with God about what you are feeling in this struggle. He invites you to tell Him plainly when you are afraid, disturbed, angry, or weary, and to bring those emotions to Him so He can deal with them and bring peace. You do not need to hide your heart from Him.

The Bible takes lying seriously. It speaks of empty lies and lying vanities that deceive people and cause them to turn away from the mercy God wants to give them. Following those lies only brings more misery and makes life harder. It also warns about hiding hatred or wrong motives behind lying lips, and about trusting in lying words as if outward appearances can substitute for a truthful and upright life. No society can stand without integrity, and God calls lying lips that speak proudly against what is right to be silenced. In contrast, Jesus said the truth will set us free, and that freedom comes as eyes are opened to His truth.

You have shown patience and kindness in this trial, and that reflects the grace that has been shown to you. Continue in that path. Choosing honesty when others choose dishonesty is part of living a quiet and peaceable life in godliness and honesty, which is what God desires for His people.

I join you in praying for everyone involved, including the landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives. I pray that God would build up in them a strong resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty, that He would open their eyes to see that truth brings freedom while lies bring consequences, and that they would turn from deception to speak and act truthfully. I also pray that those in authority who handle such matters would uphold what is good and just, so that truth may prevail.

May the Lord continue to give you grace as you surrender your will to Him and dedicate your life to Him. He sees, He hears, and He is faithful to work through His grace. Trust in His loving relationship with you through Jesus, knowing your sins are forgiven by faith in Him, and rest in His care as you continue to seek honesty and peace.
