Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join with you in lifting this matter before our Heavenly Father, acknowledging that Jesus Christ is indeed the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood, shed on the cross, that we are forgiven and made righteous. We are grateful for His sacrifice and the grace that enables us to stand firm in truth, even in the face of adversity.

Dishonesty is a grievous sin that not only harms others but also separates us from the holiness of God. The Bible is clear that lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight (Proverbs 12:22). The enemy, the father of lies (John 8:44), seeks to deceive and destroy, but we stand on the truth of God’s Word, which sets us free (John 8:32). We rebuke every spirit of deception and dishonesty that may be at work in this situation, declaring that no weapon formed against the truth shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray for the landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives involved in this matter. Father, we ask that You soften their hearts and convict them of any unrighteousness. Break down the walls of resistance to dishonesty in their lives and replace them with a hunger for integrity. Let Your Holy Spirit work in them, leading them to repentance and a desire to walk in truth. May they come to know the freedom that comes from living a life of honesty, as You desire for all Your children (Ephesians 4:25).

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who have been wronged by these lies. Give them the strength to respond with patience and kindness, even as Christ has shown us grace. Help them to trust in Your justice, knowing that You will repay every wrong and vindicate the righteous (Romans 12:19). We declare that the truth will prevail, and no lie will stand in the light of Your presence.

We surrender this situation into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every outcome. We dedicate our lives to You, asking that You continue to mold us into vessels of truth and righteousness.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You surround those who have been affected by this dishonesty with Your peace and protection. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their defender. We pray that those who have participated in these lies would come to a place of repentance and restoration, experiencing the transformative power of Your love.

We were grateful to read your prayer. Coming before the Lord with thanks even after hardships, and choosing to pray for the landlord's team and their lawyers rather than only against them, says a lot about the grace you have been given.

What you described is hard, when you have tried to act with patience and kindness and have been met with dishonesty, it can leave you feeling both weary and wary. It is one thing to make a settled decision to want good for those who have wronged you and to ask God to lead them toward honesty, and it is another for the hurt and frustration to fully lift. Both can be true at once, and the second often takes more time.

As you continue to walk through this, one steady next step we have found helpful for many in a difficult legal situation is to keep a simple, clear record of what has happened in your own words, dates and facts as you understand them, and to stay connected to one trusted, wise advisor or pastor who can walk with you through the process so you are not carrying it alone.

Father, we lift this situation to You in Jesus' name. We thank You for Your presence with our friends and for the work You have already done in their hearts. We ask for Your peace to guard them, for wisdom and steadiness in each step ahead, and for truth to be made clear. We join our hearts with yours in this prayer, and we thank God that you have come in the name of Jesus, for He is indeed the way, the truth, and the life, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. We bless the Lord with you for His presence, for His fighting for His people, and for the heavenly gifts which come through the precious blood shed on the Cross for sinners such as we are.

Your petition concerning dishonesty is right and weighty in the sight of God. Lies are not light things, and the Scripture declares that the Lord desires truth in the inward parts and that His Word is truth. You have done well to pray not for vengeance, but for the honesty of those who have opposed you, even the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives. To show the same patience and kindness that was shown to us is the practical truth of the gospel, that our actions should be consistent and of a right and straightforward course.

Remember that we are all tenants in a house which is not our own, for God is the great Landlord and we dwell in His property upon His sufferance. There is a clause in our lease that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter, and we must set our house in order and pay our rent to Him, which is a life lived in truth and holiness unto the Lord. When men give themselves to lying and to serious crimes, they have indeed broken down all resistance to dishonesty within the house, and only the grace of God can build it up again.

Therefore we pray with you that the Lord will build up in them a resistance to dishonesty and teach them to buy the truth and sell it not. May they buy doctrinal truth by coming to the law and to the testimony, may they know experimental truth within the heart by the renewing of grace, and may they walk in practical truth in all their dealings. It is always well to know the truth of God so certainly that we remember it just when we most need it, and this truth ought to take from us all fear of man and ensure our submission to the will of God. For you, beloved in Christ, continue to remember that the truth shall make you free, and genuine faith trusts God in the storm as well as in the calm.

We ask the Father to open their eyes to see that truth is not to be picked and chosen at convenience, but to be bought at any price, and to deliver them from the consequences which must follow upon falsehood. And for you, we pray that you may be kept sincere and true, feeding only upon the truth of God, laying your foundation upon the rock, and offering the key of your house daily to the great Landlord, surrendering your will wholly to Him.

May the Lord keep you steadfast, make you valiant for His truth, and cause His peace to guard your hearts until He brings forth justice in His perfect time.

Your prayer has been heard and I thank you for sharing it with such honesty and faith. You have rightly come before the Father in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life, and who shed his blood on the cross for sinners. It is good that you give thanks even in hardship and that you have chosen to show patience and kindness to those who have opposed you.

You are right to see lies as serious. Scripture teaches us to lead a life in all godliness and honesty, and dishonesty, whether through falsehood, broken oaths or unjust dealings, brings great harm to the soul and to others. When a person gives way to dishonesty, they tear down the resistance that should guard the heart. When truth takes hold of an honest soul, it masters it gently and brings light, as the sun enlightens clear eyes.

I join you in praying for the landlord's team, the lawyers and the legal representatives. I pray that God will build up in them a resistance to dishonesty and a love for what is true and right. May he open their eyes to see that truth sets us free, while lies lead to wretchedness and loss. May he give them a desire for honest work and honest gain, rather than seeking advantage through falsehood, and may he turn them from any practice of deceit toward integrity.

I also pray for you, that the Lord will continue to strengthen you, guard your heart from bitterness, and keep you in his grace. May he help you to continue walking in truth, to speak truth in love, and to trust that he is fighting for you and will provide what you need. As you have surrendered your will to him, may he give you peace, wisdom for each step in this legal matter, and the assurance that he sees every hardship you have faced.

Heavenly Father, we ask you to work in every heart involved in this situation. Teach us all to love honesty, to reject lies, and to live in a way that honors you.
