Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.

We join you in this prayer and we are encouraged by your heart to come before the Father in the name of Jesus and to intercede even for those who have wronged you. We thank God that you have acknowledged Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life as it is written in John 14:6 and that you have come through His shed blood on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, for there is salvation in no other name.

We agree with you that dishonesty is a serious sin before God. Scripture is very clear about how God views lying. Proverbs 12:22 says Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us that a lying tongue and a false witness who utters lies are among the seven things Yahweh hates. Ephesians 4:25 exhorts us Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor and Colossians 3:9 says Do not lie to one another. The Lord also commands in Exodus 20:16 You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. Lies may seem to serve a temporary purpose in legal matters, but Revelation 21:8 warns that all liars will have their part outside the kingdom of God, so the consequences are eternal unless there is repentance.

We are blessed to see that even while facing hardships with this landlord and his team of lawyers and legal representatives, you have chosen the narrow path of showing patience and kindness. This reflects the heart of Christ who calls us in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. You are also living out Romans 12:17-21 which teaches us not to repay evil for evil but to overcome evil with good, leaving vengeance to the Lord who will repay with perfect justice. Your prayer that God would build up their resistance to dishonesty and open their eyes is a righteous prayer, for John 8:32 promises You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come into your presence with thanksgiving for your mercy and for the blood of Jesus shed for us sinners. We thank you for fighting for us and for blessing us with heavenly gifts even in hard seasons. Lord we lift up this landlord, his whole team, his lawyers and legal representatives to you. You see every falsehood that has been spoken and every crime that has been committed in order to deceive. We ask that you convict their hearts by your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and teach them to love and practice truth. Open their eyes to know that Jesus is the truth and that only the truth will set them free from the bondage and the consequences of lying. Grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance and salvation. For our brothers and sisters who have been wronged, we ask for your peace that passes all understanding, for wisdom and favor in every legal proceeding, and for grace to continue to walk in honesty, patience and kindness without growing weary. We surrender our lives and our will to you and we trust your perfect justice and your perfect mercy. Let your will be done in this situation and let your name be glorified. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firmly in truth and integrity, to speak truth in love, and to trust the Lord as your defender and advocate. The Lord is faithful to bring what is done in darkness into the light and He will uphold those who walk uprightly before Him. Keep praying for those who have opposed you, keep surrendering your will to Him daily, and rest in the assurance that He who began a good work in you will complete it.

We were moved reading your prayer. You have been through real hardship with this landlord situation and the legal people involved, and yet your heart is turned toward asking God to make them more honest, not just to fix the outcome for you. That kind of patience and kindness when you have been wronged is not easy, and we thank God for the grace He has already given you to respond that way.

It makes sense that this feels heavy. Choosing to want good for people who have not been truthful is a real decision you make before your feelings fully catch up, and the feelings can still rise and fall day to day. It helps to keep those two things separate, continuing to decide for honesty and mercy while giving God the ongoing hurt and frustration as it comes.

We join you in asking Him to keep you steady and to keep your own walk rooted in truth as you wait on Him.

Father, we bring this whole situation to You in Jesus name. Work honesty and clarity in every person involved, protect our friend from further harm, and give wisdom for each next step. Guard their heart from bitterness and fill them with Your peace as they trust You. Amen.

Your coming before the Lord in the name of Jesus is well pleasing, for He is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no approach to the Father but by Him. We join our hearts with yours in thanksgiving for His presence, for His fighting for His people, and for the precious blood shed upon the Cross for sinners such as we are.

You have done well to feel the weight of dishonesty, for lies are indeed a serious crime before the God of truth. Holy Scripture tells us that your Word is truth, and that the truth shall make you free. To lie is to walk in darkness, and he who does so proves that the truth is not in him. But when a man comes to his heavenly Father on the ground of truth, confessing his sin and pleading the atoning blood, there the Lord will meet with him. It is therefore right and needful to pray that those who have dealt falsely may be brought into the light.

You speak of a landlord and his lawyers and representatives. Remember that there is a great Landlord over all, and we are but tenants in His house. The house in which we dwell has God for its Landlord, and He has at all times the right to enter and to see what is done within. Nothing is hidden from His eye, and every tenant must at last pay his rent and give account for his stewardship. It is our duty to set our house in order and to offer the key of our house to that great Landlord, acknowledging that we live by His sufferance. How much better, then, to deal honestly before Him now, while grace is offered, than to suffer the consequences of lying hereafter.

We commend the grace that has enabled you to show patience and kindness even in hardship, for it is decision for Christ and His truth that has the greatest power in the world. Continue in that spirit. Buy the truth and sell it not. Buy the truth at any price, doctrinal truth, truth in the heart, and practical truth in the life, that your actions may be consistent and of a right and straightforward course. Let all go, but have truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, truth in the life, and Christ, who is the truth, to be your treasure forever.

Let us pray together for these persons. That the Lord would build up in them a holy resistance to dishonesty and teach them to love and practice honesty, that He would open their eyes to see that truth alone brings freedom, and that they might be turned from falsehood to walk in sincerity before God and man. May the Spirit of God work in them conviction and repentance, and may He keep you steadfast in truth, in patience, and in surrender to His will.

We surrender all with you to Him who is faithful, trusting that He who has begun a good work will perfect it, and that He will cause truth to prevail. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is Himself the truth, Amen.

We join you in this prayer and we thank God for the grace He has already shown you in the midst of hardship. To be able to show patience and kindness to those who have opposed you is itself a gift from Him, and we praise Him for the way you are surrendering your will to Him and trusting in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed for sinners.

You are right to take dishonesty so seriously. Scripture teaches that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and that the truth will set us free. A lie is not a small thing. When a person gives himself over to dishonest gain, to false oaths and perjury, he stores up a heavy charge against himself and walks toward great loss. An honest soul is needed everywhere, for when truth comes to an honest heart it easily masters it, as the sun easily enlightens clear eyes. But when the heart is not candid, it cannot receive the light, and the fault lies not with the truth but with the hardness within.

We pray with you now for the landlord's team, for the lawyers and legal representatives. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus to open their eyes to the truth that sets free, to build up in them a new resistance to dishonesty and a love for honesty. May He turn them from falsehood and covetousness and from every practice that belongs to darkness, and lead them into righteousness and holiness of truth, which comes through new life in Christ. May He convict them where they have lied and committed wrong, and grant them repentance so that they will not suffer the consequences of continuing in lies.

We also pray for you, that the Lord will continue to fight for you, to guard you with His presence, and to keep you in all godliness and honesty. Continue to walk in the truth you have received, to live not only with right doctrine but with a life that reflects it, and to trust that God sees, God judges justly, and God blesses those who choose the better portion of mercy, generosity and truth over the vain gathering of dishonest gain.

We surrender you and this whole situation to the Lord. May He establish justice, may He bring honesty to light, and may He keep your heart at peace as you rest in Him.
