Dishonesty

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join with you in lifting this matter before our Heavenly Father, acknowledging that Jesus Christ is indeed the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood, shed on the cross, that we are redeemed from sin and made righteous before God. We are grateful for the grace and mercy extended to us, even as we stand against the darkness of dishonesty that seeks to ensnare both the guilty and the innocent.

The Word of God is clear: lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight (Proverbs 12:22). Dishonesty is not merely a mistake, it is a sin that separates us from God’s perfect will. The enemy, the father of lies (John 8:44), seeks to destroy lives through deception, but we stand firm in the truth that sets us free (John 8:32). We rebuke every spirit of deception, fraud, and manipulation that has taken root in this situation. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every lie to be exposed by the light of God’s truth.

We pray for the landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives involved in this matter. Father, we ask that You break the hardness of their hearts and convict them of their sin by the power of Your Holy Spirit (John 16:8). Soften their hearts to receive Your truth and grant them the courage to repent. Build within them a resistance to dishonesty, that they may walk in integrity and righteousness. Let them see the weight of their actions and the destruction that follows deceit, not only in this life but for eternity. May they turn from their ways and seek Your face, for You are near to all who call upon You in truth (Psalm 145:18).

We also lift up those who have been wronged in this situation. Lord, we ask that You strengthen them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Though they have faced hardships, we declare that You are their vindicator and defender. You see every injustice, and You will repay (Romans 12:19). Grant them the grace to extend patience and kindness, even as Christ has shown us mercy, but do not let them be taken advantage of or oppressed. Give them wisdom to navigate this situation with discernment and courage to stand firm in the truth.

Father, we surrender this entire matter into Your hands. We trust in Your justice and Your timing. Let Your truth prevail, and let every lie be brought to nothing. We dedicate our lives to You, asking that You use this situation for Your glory. May those who have been deceived come to know the freedom found only in Christ, and may those who have been wronged experience Your restoration and blessing.

Heavenly Father, we pray that You would raise up godly voices in the legal system, men and women who walk in integrity and uphold justice. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your truth be the foundation upon which all decisions are made. We ask that You would bind the hands of the wicked and frustrate the plans of those who seek to harm others through deceit (Psalm 33:10). Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this situation, as it is in heaven.

We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love. Thank You for hearing our prayer, and thank You for the victory we have in Jesus Christ.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer. You have been through real hardship with this landlord's team and their legal representatives, and yet your heart is turned toward asking God to build honesty in them rather than asking for payback. That willingness to show the same patience and kindness you have received is a beautiful reflection of Christ at work in you.

We also hear how heavy this has been. Choosing to release revenge and to want good for those who have wronged you is one kind of decision, and it is a costly one. The hurt, frustration, and weariness that come with being misled can still linger for a while even after that decision is made, and that does not mean you have failed. It often just takes time, prayer, and honest community to let those feelings settle.

One small step that may help you keep walking in both truth and peace is to keep a simple, factual record of communications and next steps related to the legal matter, and to share that record with a trusted, wise counselor or advocate who can walk with you. It protects clarity without pulling you back into striving, and it leaves room for you to keep praying as you have been.

Father, we lift this whole situation to You. We ask You to guard our friend's heart from bitterness and to give daily strength and wisdom for each interaction. Work in the hearts of all involved to love truth and to walk in honesty, and lead this matter toward what is right and good in Your eyes. We trust You to be our defender and our peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord with thanksgiving, and we join our hearts with yours in the name of Jesus Christ, who is Himself the way, the truth and the life.

You have done well to remember that lies are no light matter before a holy God, for He desires truth in the inward parts, and our Lord has told us that the truth shall make us free. There is a truth of doctrine to be bought at any price, a truth of experience to be wrought within the heart by the Spirit, and a truth of practice to be lived out in honest dealing before God and man. Buy the truth, and sell it not, whatever the cost may be, for without truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life, we have not Christ who is Himself the Truth.

We take comfort that you have sought to overcome evil with good, showing patience and kindness to those who have opposed you, even to the landlord's team, the lawyers and legal representatives. This is the way of saints who have first learned to overcome evil, and then learn the sacred art of overcoming goodness itself by prevailing prayer. We pray now that the same Holy Spirit who alone makes divine truth powerful to salvation would accompany the word to their hearts.

Remember also that in this life we are but tenants, and God is the great Landlord of the house in which we dwell. The lease is in His hands, He has right to enter at all times, and the rent He requires is a life set in order before Him, rendered in obedience, honesty and fear. May all who are concerned in this matter hear that word, Set your house in order, and offer the key of the house to the great Landlord, acknowledging that we live on sufferance as His tenants, and that every account must be made up before Him.

We pray that the Lord will build up in these men a holy resistance to dishonesty, where resistance has been broken down. May He bring them to honest dealing with God, for if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins on the ground of truth, owning our guilt as it really is, He is faithful and just to forgive us through the atoning blood of Him who was Truth embodied, transparent in word and in deed. May they see that truth spoken may be withstood, but truth lived out through the Spirit is mighty, and may they choose the straight and honest course.

We ask the Lord to open their eyes to see that to lie is to wound their own souls and to bring sure consequence, and to turn them to love the truth and to practice it. And for you who have suffered hardship, we pray that your faith may be strengthened, that fear of man may be banished, and that submission to the will of God and trust in His overruling providence may abound. Continue to stand valiantly for the truth, holding aloft its banner, and looking to Christ your familiar Friend who lives and reigns.

May the Lord bless you, keep you in perfect honesty before Him, and cause His powerful truth to prevail in every heart concerned, to the glory of His name. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
