Dishonesty

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes,
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name,
Amen

We join with you in lifting this matter before our Heavenly Father, acknowledging the power and authority of Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood, shed on the cross, that we are forgiven and set free from the bondage of sin. We are grateful for His sacrifice and the grace that empowers us to walk in truth and righteousness.

Dishonesty is indeed a grievous sin, as Scripture warns us, "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truly are his delight" (Proverbs 12:22 WEB). The enemy, who is the father of lies (John 8:44 WEB), seeks to ensnare people in deception, leading them away from the light of Christ. We must stand firm in the truth, for Jesus declared, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32 WEB). The consequences of lying are severe, both in this life and the next, for "all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8 WEB). Yet, we also know that God is merciful and desires repentance, as it is written, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9 WEB).

We rebuke the spirit of deception that has taken hold of the landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives. We command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB). We pray that their resistance to dishonesty would be rebuilt and strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit. May they come to recognize the weight of their actions and the destruction that lies bring, not only to others but to their own souls.

Lord, we ask that You open their eyes to the truth. Let them see the freedom that comes from walking in honesty and integrity. Soften their hearts to receive Your conviction and lead them to repentance. We pray that they would turn away from their sin and seek Your face, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). May they experience the peace and joy that comes from living in alignment with Your Word.

We also lift up those who have been affected by this dishonesty. It is not easy to extend patience and kindness to those who have wronged us, but we are called to follow Christ’s example. Jesus taught us, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44 WEB). We ask that You fill their hearts with Your love and grace, enabling them to forgive as they have been forgiven. Strengthen them to stand firm in the truth and to trust in Your justice, for "the Lord is a God of knowledge, by him actions are weighed" (1 Samuel 2:3 WEB).

Father, we dedicate our lives to You and surrender our will to Yours. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). We ask that You bring light into this situation, exposing any hidden deceit and bringing about justice and restoration. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your truth prevail.

Heavenly Father, we pray for the landlord’s team, lawyers, and legal representatives, that they would come to know You as their Lord and Savior if they do not already. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience the transforming power of Your love. May they turn from their ways and walk in the path of righteousness, for Your Word says, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon" (Isaiah 55:7 WEB).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those involved in this situation. Guide their steps and give them the courage to act with integrity. May they be a testimony to Your truth and grace, shining Your light in the midst of darkness.

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and believe that You are at work, even when we cannot see it. Strengthen our faith and help us to wait patiently for Your perfect timing. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We stand on Your promises and trust in Your unfailing love.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We hear the exhaustion behind these words, the weight of navigating a legal fight where the other side seems willing to bend or break the truth. It is deeply unsettling when what should be a straightforward matter gets tangled in deception, and we want you to know we are bringing this before the Lord with you.

What strikes us most is the grace you are already extending. To show patience and kindness to people who have wronged you, that is not natural. That is the Spirit at work, and it is no small thing. You are not letting the injustice harden you, and that matters immensely for your own soul even as the legal process drags on.

One practical thing that sometimes helps in situations like this is to write out a simple, clear record of the key facts and timeline for your own reference. Not to obsess over, but so that when confusion gets stirred up, you have something solid to anchor back to. It can also help your own legal counsel stay focused on what is most important. If you haven't yet, you might also ask your lawyer what documentation would be most helpful going forward, sometimes a small practical step can ease the feeling of being stuck in someone else's dishonesty.

You asked God to build up their resistance to lying and to open their eyes to truth. We join you there. He is able to soften even the hardest conscience, but whether or not they change, the truth remains, and He sees it all.

Father, thank you for the grace this person is showing in a painful situation. Please sustain that patience; do not let weariness or anger take root. Guard their mind and heart from the churn of this conflict. We ask for wisdom for their legal team and for any officials involved, bring hidden things to light. And yes, Lord, we ask you to work in the consciences of those on the other side. Draw them away from dishonesty and toward what is right. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a hollow sound when a man cries out for truth in his adversary while his own heart is padded with refuges of lies. The Lord will meet you where the truth is and nowhere else; when you confess that you are unworthy of his pity, you are owning the truth, and when you feel guilty, you feel what is really fact; on this footing of truth, sad truth though it be, the Lord will meet with you through the atoning blood. Let a man say, "I have no sin," and he has condemned himself out of his own mouth, for the text says of such a man the truth is not in him, and he who hath not truth in him is not saved. The absence of confession of present sin means the absence of the light of truth, and sincerity.

Your groaning over the landlord's sin rings with a note that must first be turned homeward. There is first the man who lies: "If we say we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth." We say and do that which is untrue if while abiding under the influence of sin and falsehood we claim to have fellowship with God. What a dreadful word is this for all hollow-hearted professors! My eyes have seen too many who pray loudly for the sins of others while their own house is built on the sand. Buy the Truth which lies here, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved." I need facts and certainties, for I dread every refuge of lies. No limit can be set to the power which lies in the divine expiation. My God, I see that thou hast given thine own Son to die, and surely in his precious blood there is more than sufficient reason for my faith in thee.

Do not pour your hope into the thin vessel of another man's reformation. Your only hope of happiness lies Godward. You must come back. You must come back to the good old way. A cold, hard Truth of God falls from Heaven like a hailstone and crashes right through the glass roof of his false confidence! And while this Truth should banish our fear of man, it should also ensure our submission to the will of God. Believe Christ's word to be true; then appropriate that word unto thyself as spoken to thee: believe that it is true to thee, and rest in the truth of it, that is saving faith. Wash His feet with your tears, and let the barbed arrows of Divine Truth stick fast in your own heart, for only then is your mouth made fit to pray for the dishonest.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have done well to bring this before the Lord, because the desire for truth and the refusal to repay evil with evil are signs of grace. Lying is indeed a serious crime, not only because it harms others but because it makes a soul an enemy of the Truth himself. When you pray that God would build up their resistance to dishonesty, you are praying for a greater mercy than they know.

Yet consider what you ask when you say that their eyes may be opened so they will not suffer consequences. We may certainly desire that they repent and be spared, but the freedom of which our Lord speaks is not freedom from every earthly penalty. It is freedom from the lie. If a person turns honest only to escape punishment, he has not yet been set free. Pray rather that they would fear dishonesty more than penalties, and love truth more than their own advantage. That is the only safe path for them.

Let us also examine ourselves while we pray. Dishonesty does not live only in courtrooms or leases. It creeps into our buying and selling, our excuses, our self-justifications, and our desire to appear better than we are. An honest soul is needed everywhere. When truth meets a clear eye, it enlightens it easily; when it does not, the fault is not in the truth but in the soul that will not receive it. Ask God to make your own eye clear, so that this trial does not become an occasion for bitterness or self-righteousness. Continue showing patience and kindness, but do not call their sin small. Love them enough to speak truth and pray for their conversion.

I join you in asking that the Lord would grant them repentance and make them honest before him and before others. May he protect you from resentment and make your own life such a witness of truth that even those who oppose you may see in you a reason to believe.
