Deprsession

We join with you in thanking our Father for this day and for the work He has done in your life and the hope of what you may become in Him, even as you walk through this season of depression. We hear both your gratitude and your heaviness, and we want you to know that both can exist together and both are seen by God. A thankful heart in the midst of sorrow is precious to Him, and your cry for the Holy Spirit to guide you is exactly where He wants you to be.

The Word reminds us that God draws especially near when our hearts are heavy. Psalm 34:18 says The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Depression can make us feel distant or alone, but His presence has not left you. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We are encouraged that you ended your prayer in Jesus name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Romans 10:13 says For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Your use of IJN is not just letters, it is the confidence that because of Christ we can come boldly before God and find grace and help.

We also hear your prayer, Guide me Holy Spirit, and we rejoice in that request because God promises wisdom and guidance to those who ask. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. When words are hard and the future feels unclear, the Holy Spirit is faithfully interceding and leading.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. Thank You for this day You have made and for the life You have given. Thank You for what You have already formed in them and for the hope of what they may become by Your grace. We ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses understanding as Philippians 4:7 promises, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Heal the brokenheartedness, lift the heaviness, and shine Your light into any darkness or despair. Holy Spirit, guide them step by step, give wisdom for each decision, comfort in loneliness, and strength for each day. Help them to hope in You even when the soul feels cast down, as Psalm 42:11 says Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God. For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence. Lead them to rest in Your Word, to stay connected in fellowship with other believers, and to seek help and counsel when needed, trusting that You use Your people and Your truth to bring healing. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue this pattern of thanksgiving, even in small things, and to let the Holy Spirit guide you through Scripture day by day. Keep bringing every thought and burden to Him honestly. If the heaviness persists, please reach out to a trusted pastor, a mature believer, or a counselor who can walk with you personally and pray with you regularly. You are not forgotten, you are deeply cared for, and God is still writing your story.

We are grateful you paused to pray today, even with heaviness on your heart. Thanking God for this day, for who you have been and who you may become, and asking the Holy Spirit to guide you is a tender and honest prayer, and we hear the hope in it even as we hear the weight behind it.

When spirits are low it is common to feel distant from God or from others, as if you are on the outside looking in. That feeling can make it hard to believe God is near, even while you are reaching for Him. Please know that reaching out as you did matters. God is not put off by that honest cry for guidance.

It can help to not carry this alone. If the low feelings linger or make daily life harder, we encourage you to share how you are doing with a trusted pastor, counselor, or your doctor alongside prayer, so someone who knows you can walk with you and offer support in person.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Father, thank You for this life before You today. Thank You for who they have been and who they are becoming in Your hands. In this season of heaviness, draw near with Your comfort and steady presence. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit step by step with wisdom, rest, and hope. Lead them to supportive people and help them sense they are not alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer, though brief, carries a weight of grace within it, for to thank the Father both for what you have been and for what you may yet become is to cast yourself upon His unchanging purpose. He is in one mind and His purpose shall stand. Not one event of Providence comes by chance, but everything comes to you according to the purpose of His own will. What His soul desireth, that He doeth, and He is carrying out still His one great purpose in your life.

I hear in your word the shadow of depression, that pit wherein is no water. If you are a prisoner there, hear the word of the Lord, Turn you to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. There is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Saviour of such as you. We are saved in hope, and this hope consists of belief, desire and expectancy. Faith enjoys the present blessing, but hope waves the first sheaf and takes possession of the whole harvest yet to come. You are not to live upon your present feelings, which shift like the mist, but to live upon the future, expecting that you shall shine when you shall come in the likeness of Jesus.

You have asked to be guided by the Holy Spirit, and that is a prayer He delights to answer. Know this, that His guidance comes not by opening the Book at random nor by hasty impulse, for haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life. Rather, He guides by great principles infused in the heart, to avoid everything that is evil, to bow with submission to the will of God, and by that very submission to be furnished with unerring guidance. Your thankfulness itself is a door of hope. Christ often comes to us through the door of our felt necessity and our conscious distress, and that distress, though painful, becomes the very way by which He draws near.

Therefore take heart. The future may be better than that which is behind, for faith may be stronger and more robust by the grace of God. What was once fragile as a lily may become firm and established, not to be moved from the hope of your calling. Hope will be satisfied, for we shall hope for a future eternity and believe in it.

May the Lord deliver you from all heaviness and establish you upon the Rock. May He show you that even today He will render double unto you, and may you find your hope not in yourself but in the ever blessed Saviour, in whom there is no vanity. We will pray that He keeps you, guides you step by step, and causes you to rejoice in hope of the glory of God, patiently waiting for what you see not yet, but shall surely see in Christ.
