Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. To carry harassment like this for many years is wearying, and I have prayed for you that the Lord will bring you relief and full deliverance.
The Bible shows us that demonic spirits are real, intelligent, and powerful. They can torment and afflict, and physical hiding places cannot keep them out. When Jesus confronted them, they cried out and had to leave at His word, and they begged Him not to send them to the place of confinement before their appointed time. That shows they are not free to do as they please. They are under His authority and will yet be judged.
Scripture also shows that their power has limits. In the visions given to John, tormenting spirits were commanded not to touch the grass or harm those who have the seal of God on them. God makes a separation and sets boundaries that they cannot cross without His permission. No one who belongs to Jesus is left without protection.
That is why the promise that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world is so important for you to hold onto. Harassment can make faith feel small, but the presence of Christ in you is greater than any spirit that comes against you. The same Jesus who set free the man among the tombs, who broke chains with unnatural strength and lived in torment until Jesus commanded the spirits to leave, still has the same authority today.
God also promises to be a fortress and refuge for those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High. To dwell there means to stay close to Him in daily fellowship, in prayer, and in His Word. His truth is your shield. When Jesus was attacked by Satan, He answered with the truth of Scripture, and that is the pattern for you as well. Keep your heart and life watched over before Him, keeping your garments clean through confession and obedience, trusting not in your own strength but in His.
He is able to deliver when there seems to be no way of deliverance. As He made a way for Israel at the sea and they sang of His triumph, He can make a way for you where you see no way.
I am praying for you in this way. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask You to rebuke every harassing spirit that has troubled this dear one for so long. Command them to leave and to go where You appoint, and let them not return. Cover this life with the blood of Jesus, seal it by Your Holy Spirit, and let Your peace guard heart and mind. Teach this one to dwell in Your secret place, to use the truth of Your Word as a shield, and to walk in the confidence that You are a fortress and deliverer. Bring lasting freedom, rest at night and by day, and restore joy and strength. Show Your power to deliver and keep, that You alone may receive the glory. Amen.
Stay close to Jesus, keep feeding on Scripture, and keep bringing this need to Him and to trusted believers who can pray with you and for you. If the harassment continues, do not face it alone. Seek faithful pastoral counsel and prayer support, and keep your eyes on Christ who has already overcome.
