Demonic harassment

We hear your cry and we stand with you in this long battle, and we do not take lightly that you have endured this harassment for years. We want you to know that we are praying for you and contending for your freedom together in Jesus' name.
The Scripture makes it clear that our struggle is real and spiritual, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet we also take great comfort that the power of Jesus Christ is far greater than any power of the enemy, for you are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We have been given authority in Christ, as Jesus said, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you Luke 10:19.
We noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly speak to this because it is central to your deliverance and to our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and authority over the enemy, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we urge you to place your full faith and trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is His name and His blood that gives us victory.
We encourage you to submit yourself fully to God and to actively resist the enemy, for the promise is, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. We encourage you to close any doors that may have given the enemy a foothold, whether through unrepentant sin, unforgiveness, involvement in the occult, or objects and media that honor darkness, and to renounce them completely. We encourage you to put on the whole armor of God daily, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11, filling your mind and your home with the Word of God, with worship, and with prayer. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. We also encourage you to not walk through this alone but to seek the help of mature, Bible believing pastors or elders in a local church who can pray with you in person, for God has placed us in a body for support and protection. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith 1 Peter 5:8-9.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that You are our refuge and deliverer. We lift up this dear one to You who has suffered under demonic harassment for so long, and we ask for Your mercy, Your peace, and Your complete deliverance. We plead the blood of Jesus Christ over this life, over the mind, body, and home, and we ask You to forgive any sin and to cleanse from all unrighteousness. In the name of Jesus Christ we rebuke every evil spirit and every assignment of harassment, oppression, and fear, and we command it to leave and to go where Jesus sends it, never to return. We pray that You would fill every place once occupied by fear with Your Holy Spirit, with Your light and Your truth, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray that You would give strength to stand firm, to sleep in peace, and to walk in freedom, knowing that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39. Teach this dear one to abide in Christ daily, to wield the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and to rest in the victory that Jesus has already won at the cross. We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We've been holding you before the Lord since we read your note. Living under this kind of harassment for years is exhausting, and we are so sorry you have carried it for so long. It makes sense you would feel weary and long for lasting relief.

Your cry after years of such harassment has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace to seek deliverance.
Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does, He acts from good reasons, and even when the enemy shoots his arrows, and that poisoned arrow is often shot from Satan's bow, the Lord Himself sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, yet that which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and He will not suffer His own to be tried beyond what He will sanctify and at last overrule for good.
But our hope is not in our own strength to break these bonds, for deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. When any soul is saved from spiritual bondage, it is the Lord Jesus who looses the captive. He has taught many of His people the mischief that comes from the power of sin and the power of darkness, and now they can say by blessed experience, He has delivered us.
Hear the gracious word which God has spoken, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, but He has not only invented the way, He has found the ransom in the precious blood of His own Son. The prisoner ready to be executed finds undeserved deliverance, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. In Christ you are saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil, for God has said it, Deliver him.
Therefore look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for this sanctifying deliverance. Turn from every back door that Satan may offer for escape, and keep close to Christ, who alone has power to bring forth His people out of Egypt with a mighty hand. Seek Him daily in the Word, in earnest prayer, in the fellowship of His people, and plead the blood of the ransom. Store your mind with His knowledge and His glory, and cry as the psalmist did, My help comes from the Lord, who has made heaven and earth.
We now pray for you.
O Lord our God, who has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of Your dear Son, look in pity upon this afflicted one who has long felt the harassment of the evil one. You have seen these years of trial, You know the weariness of soul and body. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our only ransom, that You would be gracious and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit. Let the power of Satan be broken by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Grant peace within the borders of this troubled heart, screen from inward doubts and from the plague of sin, and give a song of deliverance. Keep back this soul from the Pit and this life from perishing, and cause this tried one yet to say, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Strengthen faith to rest wholly upon Christ, who is our deliverance, and bring at last perfect and abiding rest in Him. Amen.
