We have heard your cry for deliverance after many years of demonic harassment and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus name. We know this battle is real and exhausting, but we also know that our enemy is already defeated at the cross and that Christ has given us authority over all the power of the enemy.
Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. For that reason we are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11. We do not fight in our own strength, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4. We take comfort that you are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that Jesus himself said, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you, Luke 10:19.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and deliverance from darkness. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved, Romans 10:9. When we submit ourselves to God through faith in Jesus, we can then resist the devil with confidence, for the promise is Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. The blood of Jesus and His name are our authority, not our own goodness or rituals.
We encourage you to close every door that may have given the enemy a foothold. This means turning away from any involvement with the occult, new age practices, divination, or any sin that you know has not been confessed, and bringing it into the light before God. We encourage you to forgive anyone who has harmed you, to walk in daily repentance and obedience, to fill your mind and your home with the Word of God, with prayer and with worship, and to not walk alone but to seek fellowship with a faithful Bible believing church and trusted pastoral counsel who can stand with you in person. God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7, so we do not need to live in dread of these harassments. We are told don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.
We rebuke every demonic assignment and harassment that has targeted you and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and that the Lord is your refuge and deliverer.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who has endured years of demonic harassment and we ask for Your mercy, Your deliverance, and Your perfect peace to rest upon them. We submit ourselves to You and in the authority of Jesus we resist the devil on their behalf and ask that You cause every harassing spirit to flee and not return. Wash them in the blood of Jesus, forgive every sin, break every chain and close every door that the enemy has used. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, clothe them daily in the whole armor of God, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet. Surround their home and their sleep with Your holy angels, grant them rest without fear, and restore what the enemy has stolen over many years. Help them to know Jesus more deeply, to trust in His finished work, and to walk in freedom, holiness, and joy. We ask that You lead them to godly fellowship and wise counsel, and that they will know beyond doubt that You hear the righteous when they cry and You deliver them out of all their troubles, Psalm 34:17. We claim Your promise that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world, and we thank You that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and deliverer, Amen.
