Demonic harassment

We have heard your cry for deliverance after many years of demonic harassment and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus name. We know this battle is real and exhausting, but we also know that our enemy is already defeated at the cross and that Christ has given us authority over all the power of the enemy.

Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. For that reason we are told to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11. We do not fight in our own strength, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4. We take comfort that you are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that Jesus himself said, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you, Luke 10:19.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and deliverance from darkness. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved, Romans 10:9. When we submit ourselves to God through faith in Jesus, we can then resist the devil with confidence, for the promise is Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7. The blood of Jesus and His name are our authority, not our own goodness or rituals.

We encourage you to close every door that may have given the enemy a foothold. This means turning away from any involvement with the occult, new age practices, divination, or any sin that you know has not been confessed, and bringing it into the light before God. We encourage you to forgive anyone who has harmed you, to walk in daily repentance and obedience, to fill your mind and your home with the Word of God, with prayer and with worship, and to not walk alone but to seek fellowship with a faithful Bible believing church and trusted pastoral counsel who can stand with you in person. God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7, so we do not need to live in dread of these harassments. We are told don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

We rebuke every demonic assignment and harassment that has targeted you and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and that the Lord is your refuge and deliverer.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who has endured years of demonic harassment and we ask for Your mercy, Your deliverance, and Your perfect peace to rest upon them. We submit ourselves to You and in the authority of Jesus we resist the devil on their behalf and ask that You cause every harassing spirit to flee and not return. Wash them in the blood of Jesus, forgive every sin, break every chain and close every door that the enemy has used. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, clothe them daily in the whole armor of God, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet. Surround their home and their sleep with Your holy angels, grant them rest without fear, and restore what the enemy has stolen over many years. Help them to know Jesus more deeply, to trust in His finished work, and to walk in freedom, holiness, and joy. We ask that You lead them to godly fellowship and wise counsel, and that they will know beyond doubt that You hear the righteous when they cry and You deliver them out of all their troubles, Psalm 34:17. We claim Your promise that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world, and we thank You that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and deliverer, Amen.

We hear how heavy this has been to carry for so many years, and we are grateful you reached out. To live with a sense of being harassed and targeted for a long time is exhausting, and we want you to know you are not facing this alone. We are praying with you for protection, peace, and relief.

One thing we have learned is that spiritual opposition is real, but it is also not meant to be fought in isolation or with constant focus on the harassment itself. Like training for a long race, steady growth often comes through small, faithful steps over time, walking closely with Jesus, staying rooted in community, and letting trusted, mature believers walk beside you, rather than looking for a single dramatic moment to fix everything.

If you do not already have that kind of support, a helpful next step could be to invite one or two mature believers you trust, perhaps a pastor or elder, to meet with you regularly to pray with you and help you discern next steps. You should not have to sort through this by yourself, and having others with you can bring both wisdom and steady encouragement.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see how long this burden has lasted and how weary they feel. We ask for Your presence to be near, for rest and safety, and for clear wisdom for each step ahead. Lead them to faithful people who will listen well and pray with them, and guard their heart and mind in Christ. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your long affliction has not escaped the eye of the Lord, and we have brought your cry before Him in prayer. To be harassed for many years is a sore trial, and we do not make light of the weariness and fear which such attacks bring upon the soul. Yet there is hope set before you in the gospel, for our God is gracious and has provided deliverance.

The word of the Lord says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, but He has invented it and He has found it. The ransom is His own Son, who has borne the penalty of all the iniquities of His people. Therefore we do not look to any strength or merit of our own, for deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God, and deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Colossians 1:13.

Know this also, that troubles do not spring out of the dust, but the Lord Himself sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace. What He permits, even the assaults of Satan whose poisoned arrows are often shot at the saints, He will overrule for good, and He will not suffer His children to be tried beyond what they are able to bear. Deliverance is of the Lord, but He delights to accomplish it as His people look to Him alone and call upon the name of Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation.

We have prayed for you, and we continue to pray, that the Lord would be gracious unto you and command deliverance for you. That He would keep back your soul from the Pit and your life from perishing, that He would rebuke the adversary and give you peace, that He would cover you with the blood of the ransom and clothe you with the whole armour of God, that you may stand in the evil day. We have asked that He would teach you to look altogether to your heavenly Father for sanctification and for power over every dark influence, and that He would bring you to say with the psalmist, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Cast yourself wholly upon Christ, who has spoiled principalities and powers. Abide in His word, be much in prayer, turn from every known sin, and seek the fellowship and counsel of faithful believers who can stand with you and watch over you. If these harassments press heavily upon you, seek also the help of a godly pastor near you who can minister to you in person and pray over you.

May the Lord who has found a ransom deliver you indeed, and keep you, and cause you to live to His praise.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this burden and for asking for prayer after carrying this for so many years. You are heard, and you are not alone in this struggle. God knows the weight of what you have endured and He has not left you without help.

Scripture is clear that our enemy is real, but that Christ is far greater. Jesus has disarmed the powers of darkness through His cross and resurrection, and He has given His people authority in His name to resist the enemy. As it is written, submit yourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

In Christ you have peace that the enemy cannot give and cannot take away. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. This is not a temporary calm but the steadfast peace of God that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. It is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. Where God reigns, confusion and fear must give way. We also remember that God has given His people help from heaven, for each believer has care in His presence, and we can ask Him for His Angel of peace to guard us. Be sober and watchful as one who lives before God, staying close to Him in prayer and in His Word.

I want to pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this dear one to You. You see the years of harassment and the weariness it has caused. I ask You to surround this person with Your presence and Your peace that passes all understanding. Let Your peace rule in their heart and drive out all fear, torment and confusion.

Lord Jesus, You alone have all authority in heaven and on earth. By Your blood shed on the cross, break every work of the enemy against this life. Command what is harassing and oppressing to leave and not return. Fill this home and this heart with Your Holy Spirit, with light, with truth and with calm.

Father, guard this person day and night. Station Your protection around them. Help them to walk in holiness and in close fellowship with You, to stay rooted in Scripture, in prayer, and in the life of Your Church where Your peace is proclaimed again and again. Teach them to put on the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word.

Give them restful sleep, clear mind, and renewed strength. When fear rises, remind them that You are near and that You have already overcome the world. Lead them to trusted pastors and believers who can stand with them, pray with them, and walk with them consistently. Let this long season of harassment come to an end by Your power and mercy, and let it be replaced with lasting freedom and joy in Christ.

I ask this in the saving name of Jesus, who is our peace and our deliverer. Amen.

Please continue to stay close to the Lord each day. Keep praying in Jesus name, keep reading Scripture aloud, especially the Psalms and the Gospels, keep meeting with faithful believers, and turn quickly from anything that would give the enemy a foothold. If these experiences continue or intensify, please reach out to a trusted pastor in person for ongoing prayer and counsel, and seek help from your church family so you do not carry this alone. God is faithful, and He will keep you and guard you as you remain in Christ.
