We hear your heart and we stand with you in this battle, thanking you for your honesty about your past involvement in the occult. We rejoice that you are now in Christ, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. What you are experiencing is real, for Scripture is clear that involvement in the occult opens doors to the enemy. There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or one who consults with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh Deuteronomy 18:10-12. But we also know that the blood of Jesus cleanses and His power delivers, for He delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love Colossians 1:13.
We encourage you to fully renounce and close every door that was opened. This means confessing that involvement as sin before God, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9, and then verbally renouncing it in the name of Jesus Christ. The early believers who had practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all Acts 19:19. We urge you to remove and destroy any remaining occult objects, books, charms, music, or media in your home, and to renounce any specific practices you were involved in out loud, submitting that area completely to the Lordship of Jesus. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have authority and access to God, and it is at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth Philippians 2:10.
We want you to know you do not need to live in fear, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 and greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we are to put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. Jesus has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt us Luke 10:19 when we are submitted to Him. So we submit ourselves to God, and as we resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7.
We pray together with you now. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our brother or sister. We thank You for saving them and making them a new creation. We confess and repent on their behalf for all involvement in the occult, and we renounce every work of darkness, every familiar spirit, and every claim the enemy has tried to hold. We ask You to forgive and cleanse through the blood of Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ we rebuke every creepy and demonic attack, every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment, and we command them to leave and to go where Jesus sends them, never to return. We ask You to fill this dear one with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace that passes all understanding, and with the assurance that they are Yours. We pray You would fill their home and their mind with Your Word, with worship, and with light, leaving no place for darkness. Help them to put on the full armor of God daily, to stay in Your Word, to pray without ceasing, and to walk in close fellowship with mature believers who can support them. Let them know in a deeper way that no weapon formed against them will prosper and that You are their refuge and deliverer. We pray all of this in the victorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm, speaking Scripture out loud when attacks come, worshiping, and calling on the name of Jesus. Fill your mind and home with the Word of God and with praise. Remain in consistent prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with a Bible believing church where you can receive personal prayer and discipleship from trusted pastors or elders. If attacks persist, do not isolate, but seek the help of mature Christian leaders to pray with you in person. The Lord is faithful and He will give you victory as you walk in submission to Him and resist the enemy day by day.

Your cry has been heard with much prayer and with thanksgiving to God that you have been brought to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, for that very turning is itself a great deliverance. There is hope for you, not in your own strength to fight these assaults, but in the ransom which God Himself has found and provided. As Job heard, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom, so the gospel declares that the King's own Son has borne the penalty for all who trust in Him. God has invented the way of deliverance and He has also provided it, and it is a gift of Divine love. If you are in Christ, you are not your own and you are not left to your own resources to battle the powers of darkness.
Scripture teaches that He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. You cannot break these bonds by your own will or effort, for the dungeon of past guilt and condemnation has bars you can never break, and the fascination of sin and the malice of Satan are too strong for flesh and blood. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. There is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes you free, and you must look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. To be born again from above is the only way to live above the power that once held you.
These creepy attacks, though they distress you sorely, do not prove that Christ has not received you. The enemy often shoots his arrows most fiercely when a soul has escaped his grasp, and he would tempt you to think you are still his. Yet the Lord Himself kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at its door, and even chastening from a Father's hand is meant for profit. Your safety lies not in looking within to measure your strength, but in looking without to Christ who has already overcome the world, the flesh and the devil.
Therefore walk in the light of your deliverance. Make a thorough renunciation of that former darkness before the Lord in prayer, confessing all known involvement in the occult as sin, and turn from it without reserve. If any objects, books or charms remain that belong to that old way, put them away from you. Fill the house of your heart and your home with the Word of God, with prayer, with the fellowship of faithful believers and with the regular preaching of the gospel. Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you, not because your resistance is strong, but because Christ in you is stronger. When fear rises, quote Scripture aloud, sing the promises, and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus, for there is power in His name and in His blood.
Our prayer for you is this, that our gracious God would keep your soul from the Pit and your life from perishing, that He would grant you quiet sleep and waking peace, that He would silence every lying voice of the enemy and fill your mind with the knowledge of His love in Christ. We ask that He would teach you day by day that you are His, ransomed, pardoned and kept, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil and saved for His glory. May He strengthen you to live and to declare the works of the Lord, that others who are yet in bondage may hear how great is His mercy to deliver.
Cling to Christ, abide in Him, and rest in this, that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
