We stand with you and your son together before the Father and agree for deliverance, healing and restoration in Jesus' name. We understand the burden you feel when you speak of curses and past hurts, and we want to remind you that for those who are in Christ, no curse has the final word over your lives.

The Scripture tells us Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13 and that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you and your son, and we declare that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We also rebuke fear and anxiety that can come with feeling cursed, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. If you have been looking to ideas of curses or spiritual oppression outside of Christ, we encourage you to turn fully to Jesus alone, to walk in obedience, to put on the whole armor of God Ephesians 6:11, and to live in the freedom He has already purchased for you.

We also lift up your son for safe and healthy weight loss and for healing from past hurts. Our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to glorify God in our body 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that God will give him wisdom, self-control and strength to steward his health well, not out of shame or pressure but out of love for the Lord and desire to walk in strength. We pray as John wrote, that you may prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2. For past hurts, we know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We encourage both of you to bring those hurts into the light, to forgive as Christ forgave us Ephesians 4:32, and to allow the Lord to replace pain and rejection with His peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Safe weight loss is best pursued with wise counsel, consistent healthy habits, medical guidance when needed, and daily surrender to the Lord for strength, and healing of the heart often comes as we daily cast our cares on Him and walk in His Word.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is by trusting in Jesus and His finished work on the cross that every curse is broken and we are made children of God.

We pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this mother and her son. We thank You that through the blood of Jesus every curse is broken and ended now, and we command every work of darkness to leave them and have no place in their lives. We declare freedom, protection and peace over their home. Lord, we lift up this son to You, we ask for Your healing hand upon his body and his heart. Give him wisdom and self-discipline to lose weight safely, to make healthy choices, to have energy and strength, and guard him from harm. Heal his past hurts, Lord, mend what has been broken, comfort what has been wounded, and fill him with Your love and identity in Christ. Heal his mother as well, strengthen her faith, fill her with hope, and let both of them know how deeply they are loved and valued by You. We ask that You draw them closer to Jesus each day, that they would walk in Your will and live in the fullness of Your promises. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in the Word, to pray together in Jesus' name daily, to speak life and blessing over your son, and to trust the Lord for steady progress in health and deep healing in the heart. The Lord is faithful and He will complete the good work He has begun in you.

We are holding you and your son before the Lord today. Wanting any curse to be broken, wanting your son to be healthy and free from old hurts, these are deep, loving prayers and we are honored to stand with you in them.

We know it can feel heavy when the past still hurts and when you worry about your son's health. Please know you are not alone in this. God sees you both, loves you both, and His care for you is steady even on days when answers feel slow to come.

For your son's weight and health, we also encourage you to connect with his doctor or another qualified medical professional who can guide a safe plan, while we continue to pray for his strength and healing.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this parent and son to You. We ask for Your protection over them, for freedom from any oppression, for peace where there has been pain, and for wisdom and health for this young man. Surround them with Your presence and lead them step by step in Your will. Amen.

Your cry for deliverance for yourself and for your son has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

Know this, that the curse which truly matters is the curse of the broken law, for the book curses the sinner solemnly. But there is a blessed deliverance, for Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. Our deliverance from the curse is not by a moral change in us, but by a redemptive work for us. Christ was slain and has redeemed us to God by His blood. God has found a ransom, and that ransom is His own Son. No one would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it Himself. If you would be free from every curse, look to Him who was made sin for us, as those who looked to the brazen serpent found life and healing in that look. Deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone, and He brings forth His people by free grace.

So we pray that you and your son, trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, may know that blessed truth, that all your past sin is blotted out and your future brightens into eternal glory through Him. May every chain be broken, and may you stand in the liberty wherewith Christ makes free, giving no place to fear, but resting in the finished work of the Lamb slain.

We also lift up your son before the Lord for healing and health. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. We pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise with healing beneath His wings upon him and upon you. For past hurts, we ask the Lord to bind up the brokenhearted, to grant pardon and healing as one, for when Jesus heals He says, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. May the Lord heal the wounds of former years, so that you shall not say, I have been sick, but shall muse on mercy world without end.

For his body, we pray for safe and steady health, for wisdom and strength to care for the temple God has given, for discipline, for sound counsel, and for weight to be ordered in a way that brings strength and not harm. May the Lord grant him health to live and declare the works of the Lord, and may you both be kept in peace within your borders.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, we thank You that You have found a ransom. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who was made a curse for us that we might be redeemed, that You would grant to this dear one and to her son full deliverance from every curse and every snare of the enemy. Bring them forth with Your own hand, and let them know that it is You who saves. Pour healing over past hurts, cleanse, restore, and make the nature new. Lay Your healing hand upon this son, grant him health of body and mind, guide him to safe paths for strength and wholeness, and keep him by Your grace. Let the clock of mercy strike the hour of deliverance in their lives, and let them live to declare Your works. All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is salvation. Amen.
