Beloved of All
Your request for deliverance for you and your son is heard and we are joining you in prayer.
The Scripture speaks of how the curses of the law were pronounced and the people were to acknowledge that those judgments were right for those who disobey God. As you continue into Deuteronomy 28 you find the conditions clearly set out, if you will hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, there is blessing, but if not, those curses shall come upon you. The law shows us how serious sin is and that no one can stand before God on the basis of keeping the law.
That is why the good news of Jesus Christ means so much. He is not merely a man, He is the Son of God, God manifested in flesh, the only begotten Son of the Father. No one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son reveals Him. When we honor the Son we honor the Father, and when we receive the Son we receive the Father also. In the fullness of time God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are now a child of God through faith in Him, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into your heart, crying Abba, Father. You are not under the curse of the law any longer. You can come to the Father through the Son and ask for freedom and deliverance, and He hears you as His own.
So we pray for you and for your son that any hold of darkness, any effect of past sin or words spoken against you, would be broken in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask the Father to set you both free and to let you walk in the liberty of His adopted children, knowing you are loved and kept by Him.
We also pray for your son's physical health. We believe Jesus cares for both spiritual and physical healing. Sometimes healing is immediate and sometimes it is gradual, and even the natural processes of healing in our bodies are from God, for He created those processes. We ask the Lord to give your son wisdom and strength to lose weight in a safe and healthy way, to guide any decisions about food, activity and medical counsel, and to establish him in habits that honor God and care for the body God has given him.
And we pray for healing from past hurts. The Lord not only heals bodies, He heals minds and emotions. He can heal the scars and wounds that remain from what has happened before. We ask Him to bring that inner healing to both of you, to replace hurt with His peace, to comfort your hearts, and to help you to know more deeply the love of the Father shown to you through His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased.
May the Lord continue His work in you, give you assurance that you belong to Him through Jesus His Son, and lead you both into wholeness in body, mind and spirit for His glory.
