Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this burden and for allowing us to pray with you. We have lifted you and your son before the Lord asking for His protection, His healing, and His peace over your lives.
Scripture speaks plainly about curses and blessings. When the law was given, blessings were pronounced from one mountain for obedience and curses from the other for disobedience, and the people were to answer Amen, acknowledging that God is just in what He declares. The long list in Deuteronomy 27 and 28 shows that curses are not random words spoken by people but the consequence of turning away from God's voice and breaking His covenant, pursuing and overtaking those who walk away from Him. There are only a few verses of blessing and many verses of curse, because disobedience brings such sorrow.
The good news of the gospel is that Jesus Christ has borne the curse for us. As it is written, He bore our sicknesses and infirmities, and He became a curse for us to redeem us from the curse of the law. That means no spoken curse, no ill wish, no spiritual attack can have final power over those who belong to Jesus. If you have trusted Christ, you are under His blood and His covering. We pray that any influence meant for harm would be broken in His name and that you and your son would walk in the freedom and blessing that comes from obeying and abiding in Christ.
For your son we pray for health in body and soul. God is the healer, and we believe He heals today. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, and sometimes He heals gradually through a process. Both are divine, because God Himself created our bodies and the natural processes that restore them. We ask the Lord to give your son wisdom, strength and self control to lose weight in a safe and steady way, to guide any doctors or counselors who help him, and to help him steward his body as a gift from God with balanced eating, activity, and rest.
We also pray for healing from past hurts. The Lord not only heals bodies but also minds and hearts. He can mend the wounds and scars left by painful experiences and bring inner healing and peace where there has been pain. We ask Him to comfort your son, to replace hurt with hope, and to renew his thoughts with truth and grace day by day.
May the Lord keep you both close to Himself, guard you from evil, and fill your home with His presence. We pray that you will hear His voice, follow His ways, and know the assurance that in Christ you are blessed, forgiven, and secure. In the name of Jesus we pray for deliverance, for health, and for complete restoration.
