Beloved of All
We are praying with you and for your son, and we thank you for bringing this request so honestly before the Lord.
The Bible does speak of curses pronounced for disobedience to God's law, as when the people were to answer to the curses spoken from the mountain and acknowledge that God's judgment is right. The law showed how serious sin is, and how all who break it stand under its curse. But the good news of the gospel is that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us on the cross. When you belong to Jesus, you are no longer under that condemnation. No curse spoken against you can stand over the blood of Christ, and no past disobedience can hold you when you have been forgiven and adopted as a child of God through His Son. The Scripture teaches that if we have the Son we have the Father also, and that everyone who acknowledges Jesus as the Son of God, God manifest in the flesh who died and rose again, is brought into that secure relationship where we can cry Abba, Father. There is no need to live in fear of curses. Bring any fear or accusation into the light, confess your faith in Christ alone for salvation, renounce any agreement with darkness, and rest in the truth that you are covered by Him.
For your son we are also praying. God cares about the whole person, body and heart. He is the one who heals, and we believe He still heals today, both physically and inwardly. Sometimes His healing is immediate and sometimes it is gradual, working through natural processes He Himself created, through wisdom, steady habits, and time. All true healing is from Him. We pray that God will give your son wisdom and strength for safe and healthy ways to care for his body, that he will be encouraged and not shamed, and that he will know he is valued and loved as one made in God's image. We also pray for healing from past hurts. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and He heals the wounds and scars that others may not see. He can restore what has been hurt in the emotions and the mind as surely as He touches the body.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Your Son we come to You. We thank You that Jesus bore the curse for us so that we might receive adoption as Your children. We ask that every work of darkness, every spoken curse, and every lingering fear be broken and ended now by the power of the cross and the resurrection. Fill this home with Your peace and with confidence in Your Word. For this son, we ask for Your hand upon his health. Lead him to safe, wise steps for his body, give him discipline and encouragement, and guard him from harm. Heal his heart from every past hurt, comfort him, and make him whole in You. Help them both to continue in Your Son and in Your truth, to know Your love more deeply, and to walk in freedom as Your children. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
