We lift you and your son before the Lord together and we stand with you in prayer for deliverance, for freedom from any curse, and for healing and restoration in every area of your lives.
We want to remind you that for those who are in Christ, no curse can stand against us, for we have been redeemed by His blood. The Scripture assures us, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, Galatians 3:13. And we cling to the promise, If God is for us, who can be against us, Romans 8:31. The enemy may try to bring fear, oppression, or accusation, but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. We rebuke any fear or belief that a curse has more power than the name and the finished work of Jesus Christ, and we encourage you to walk in the authority and freedom that is already yours in Him and to renounce any involvement with the occult, superstition, or seeking power apart from God, for our deliverance comes from the Lord alone.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive every blessing of deliverance and healing. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation, Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray and find our freedom.
We also join you in praying for your son, for safe and healthy weight loss and for deep healing from past hurts. We know God cares for his body and his heart. His body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to glorify God in our body, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and we pray for wisdom, discipline, and grace for him to steward his health well, not through harsh or harmful means, but through nourishing choices, strength, and self-control that comes from the Lord. Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers, 3 John 1:2. For the hurts of the past, we trust the One who heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and who was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and by His stripes we are healed, Isaiah 53:5.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that You are our deliverer and our healer. We declare that every curse, every word spoken against this dear parent and their son, is broken and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. We ask You to surround them with Your protection and fill them with Your perfect love which casts out all fear, and let them walk in the freedom of children of God. Lord, we lift up this son to You, we ask for Your hand upon his body, grant him health, wisdom, and strength to lose weight safely in a way that honors You and brings wholeness. Guide him to healthy habits and give him encouragement and perseverance. We also ask You to heal his heart from every past hurt, every wound and memory that has brought pain, comfort him with Your presence, renew his mind, and let him know how deeply he is loved and valued by You. Restore joy and peace to this family and draw them ever closer to Jesus. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We join our hearts with yours in carrying this burden to the throne of grace, for you have asked for deliverance from every curse and for healing for yourself and for your son.
Be assured that the Lord has not forgotten you, though Zion saith, My God hath forgotten me. The answer still stands, Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb. Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Your grief is not poured out to pitiless winds or a deaf sea, for God's ear is open and His arm is still mighty to save.
Know this, that every curse which the law pronounces against the sinner was laid upon Christ when He was made a curse for us. It is the essence of all those curses declared on Mount Ebal, the rolling thunder of threatened wrath, yet He who knew no sin bore the consequences of our sin in His own body. Deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone, and that deliverance came when the Lamb was slain. God hath found a ransom. His own Son hath borne the penalty of all iniquities, and if the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Therefore we do not look to charms or incantations to end curses, but to the finished work of Jesus Christ, trusting that through faith in Him you and your household may stand free from condemnation, for he that believeth is not condemned.
For your son we pray also. We ask the Lord to grant him health and strength, and wisdom to care for the body which God hath given him, that he may lose weight safely and in a way that honours the Lord and preserves his life. We pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon him with healing in His wings, and that the leaves of the tree of life, of which it is written the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, may be applied to his whole person. The least thing about Christ is healing, and His fruit and even His leaves are full of healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature new.
For the past hurts which still wound the heart, we remember that He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. There are several forms of a broken heart, and man may be the instrument of breaking, but God only can heal. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. May the Lord give you both, forgiveness through the blood of Christ and healing for every inward bruise, that the root of bitterness being taken away, the evil which grows out of it may also be removed.
Let us pray together.
O gracious Father, we thank Thee that Thou hast given Thy Son to be a ransom for many. We plead His precious blood for this dear soul and for her son. Break, we beseech Thee, the power of every curse through Him who was made a curse for us, and let no condemnation rest where Christ hath made atonement. Lay Thy healing hand upon this son, grant him bodily health, guide him to safe and temperate ways for the care of his body, and heal the wounds of former years. Heal Thou the broken heart, bind up what is bruised, and let pardon and peace flow together in their lives. Bring them forth by Thy free grace, that they may give all honour to Thee and walk in newness of life. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and hope. Amen.

We have received your request and we bring you and your son before the Lord in prayer.
We pray that you will know the true deliverance that comes only through Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, and that through Him we receive adoption as sons. There is no curse spoken by man that can stand against those who are in Christ and have put on Christ and received the Spirit of adoption. If you have trusted in Christ alone for salvation, you are already delivered from the greatest curse, which is separation from God, and you are made a child of God. We pray that you will rest in that finished work and not live in fear of curses, but in confidence in His power and love.
We also pray for your son. We ask the Lord to give him health and strength, and wisdom to care for his body in a safe and steady way. We pray for healing from past hurts, that God would comfort his heart, heal memories that still cause pain, and help him to walk in fortitude and hope. True healing comes as we hear the word of God continually, remember it, and keep His commandments out of love for the Father and the Son. No one part of the Christian life is enough on its own, but God calls us to a careful hearing of His word, to endurance, and to freedom from worldly things, trusting Him day by day.

Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. I have prayed for you and for your son, asking the Lord to bring His peace and deliverance into your home.
In Scripture the curses of the law were pronounced from Mount Ebal over those who broke God's covenant, and the people were to answer so be it, acknowledging that the judgment was just. As you go through Deuteronomy 27 and into chapter 28 you hear the condition clearly, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, blessing will come, but if you disobey, all these curses written in the book will come upon you. The list goes on and on to show how serious sin is and how no one can keep the law perfectly on their own.
That is why the good news of Jesus Christ is so precious. The Bible says Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. On the cross He bore the judgment that the law pronounces, so that those who put their trust in Him are no longer under a curse but are received as sons and daughters. Through faith in Jesus, God adopts us into His family and sends the Spirit of His Son into our hearts. You do not need to live in fear that some spoken curse has power over you or your son. If you are in Christ, you are under His blessing and protection, and even when the enemy accuses, you can rest in what Jesus has already done. I pray that any fear of curses will be broken and that you both will walk in the freedom and assurance that belongs to the children of God.
I also prayed for your son's health, for safe and steady weight loss and for healing from past hurts. I believe Jesus cares about both physical and spiritual healing. In the Gospels we see His authority over the physical realm as He healed sickness and infirmity, and His authority over the spiritual realm as He set people free. He is the Son of David and the Son of God, and all power belongs to Him.
At the same time, healing is something I do not fully understand. Sometimes the Lord heals instantly, sometimes healing comes gradually, and sometimes He works through the natural processes of healing that He Himself built into our bodies. Any true healing is from Him, whether it comes quickly or step by step. For your son, I pray for wisdom for you both and for any doctors or counselors who help him, that he would be strengthened to make healthy daily choices and that the Lord would give him grace and perseverance for a safe path forward, without harm or extremes.

When we confess our sins to Him, He forgives and cleanses, and He can also heal the wounds and scars left in our minds and emotions.
