We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance and healing. Father God, we declare that every curse, every evil scheme, and every generational stronghold aimed at and her precious son must be broken right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! The Word of God declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" We stand on this truth, claiming the full power of the cross to shatter every chain and release complete freedom.

Lord, we specifically rebuke any spirit of infirmity, gluttony, or emotional bondage that may be contributing to this weight struggle. We command every demonic influence to leave this young man's life immediately, for Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We declare this weight must come off as his body aligns with God's perfect design for health and wholeness.

Heavenly Father, we also lift up the deep wounds of past hurts that may be buried in this young man's heart. The Bible tells us in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We ask You to pour Your healing balm into every painful memory, every rejection, every disappointment. Let Your love wash over him like a river, restoring joy and peace that surpasses all understanding.

We must address something crucial - if there has not been a personal relationship established with Jesus Christ, we urge this family to consider the words of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." There is no deliverance or true healing apart from Christ. We pray that if they haven't already, they would surrender their lives to Him today, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life.

Gracious Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discipline in eating habits and physical activity. Proverbs 3:7-8 says, "Don't be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones." Guide this young man to make choices that honor You with his body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

We declare over this family:
- Every curse is broken by the blood of Jesus!
- Complete physical and emotional healing is coming!
- Divine health and strength are being restored!
- The love of Christ is filling every empty place in their hearts!

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray and believe for a complete breakthrough. Amen!

We’re joining you in bringing this mother and her son before the Lord. It’s plain that you’re carrying a weight for them, and we don’t take that lightly. We’ll be praying with you for the breaking of any spiritual darkness, not out of a fearful fascination with the enemy, but in the quiet confidence that Jesus has already won the victory, and that His name is stronger than any curse.

From what we’ve seen in ministry, though, God often brings lasting freedom not just through a single breakthrough moment, but through a gentle process that includes wise, tangible steps. For the son’s healing from past hurts, that might mean opening up to a safe, mature believer or a pastor who can listen and offer ongoing prayer and support. Inner wounds tend to mend best in the steady light of community, not isolation. And for the safe weight loss you mentioned, we’d gently encourage getting a medical professional involved if he hasn’t already, not as a substitute for prayer, but as a practical way to steward his body well while you all trust God for the deeper work.

We’re praying that any relentless voice of shame or condemnation be silenced, and that he would know, deep in his bones, that he is loved and not abandoned.

Let’s bring this to the Lord together, right now:

Lord Jesus, we ask You to step into this situation with power and tenderness. Silence any curse, any lying word spoken over this mother and her son, and cover them with Your protection. Heal the memories and hidden hurts that still ache. Give him courage to face the past, and give her steady hope as she watches and prays. Surround him with people who speak truth and kindness. Grant him wisdom and self-control as he seeks physical health, and keep his body safe. Renew their trust in You, day by day. In Your mighty name, Amen.

The curse, every curse, has been swallowed up by a greater curse, when Christ was made a curse for us. Do not look to find some secret ritual to break words spoken in darkness, for the only curse that now has power over a believer is the curse that fell on the Substitute at Calvary. He has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; and if the law’s own thunder cannot condemn, what shall the muttering of men or devils do? Fear it not. Plead the precious blood, and stand in the liberty wherewith Christ has made you free. The clock of mercy struck the hour of deliverance when the ransom was found, and no enchantment or malediction can reverse the decree of the Eternal.

As for the son, bring him often to the well of family prayer, where you may spread every particular before the Lord who knows each name and frame. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, not only for the soul’s deep wounds but for the body’s frailty too. If the very leaves of that tree are for the healing of the nations, how much more the fruit? His touch can make the flesh obedient, restore wholesome discipline to appetite, and do it safely, without the feverish striving that exhausts the spirit. Yet fix your hope not on the diminishing of the scale, but on the pardoning hand that heals. Pardon and healing are one in Jesus; when He said, “Thy sins are forgiven thee,” the palsy left the frame. Past hurts, those arrows that rankle in the memory, He knows them all. He was wounded for those wounds; He carries the scars that answer every secret pain. His deliverance is not a half-work; He brings us out, and not a hoof is left behind. The shame of former years shall not be remembered, nor the reproach of widowhood any more.

Perhaps this season of groaning is the Lord’s own chastening. Not in anger, but from dear covenant love, He measures the draught. Sickness has often brought me health, and loss has conferred gain. The very bitterness of the trial works for good, preparing the mouth to taste the sweetness of deliverance. He who began the work will not let a single one of His little ones perish; too much of His honor is bound up in their safe conduct. Therefore, look for the deliverance and then open the mouth wide. “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” The son’s testimony, rising from a frame made whole and a spirit unburdened, will be a psalm of praise that silences the adversary. Wait on the Lord, who is mighty to save; He will come and not tarry.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Do you demand that the curses end now, as if you may set a time for God? The three holy children went into the furnace expecting to die, yet they were delivered because they did not bargain with the Lord. Learn from the beggar who, dying of hunger, still calls God merciful; yet you who have much call Him cruel when one thing is lacking. Your son’s past hurts and his weight are not the worst afflictions. The greater danger is a soft body that weakens the soul, just as slack strings ruin the music. The power of God heals, but it also chastens; seek not only the cure but the discipline that makes the soul strong.

Let him not simply lose weight but gain fortitude, listening to the word and despising worldly ease. Life is a shipwreck of many tempests, but obeying Christ as Paul urged brings safe passage. Whose report will you believe? The curses of men, or the God who works miracles? Strip away the anxious care for outward things, and bear the loss of comfort with thanksgiving, and even past wounds will become gain. Prepare for all endurance, and the Lord will deliver when the whole work is done.

Your concern about curses against you and your son is something many people carry in fear, but the truth from Scripture is that a curse that has no legitimate cause cannot land on a child of God. When Balak tried to hire Balaam to curse Israel, God turned every intended curse into a blessing because He is not a man that He should lie or change His mind. What He has spoken over His people stands. No hex, no spoken ill-wish, no spiritual attack can override the blessing that comes from being in Christ. So I am praying with you that any such curse, whether spoken by others, inherited through family words, or even self-imposed through bitter vows, is broken and rendered powerless right now because of the finished work of Jesus. He became the curse for us so that we might receive the adoption as sons.

That leads to the deeper truth that anchors this deliverance: Jesus alone is the eternal Son of God, the only begotten of the Father, and through faith in Him we become adopted sons and daughters. When you trust in the Son, you have the Father, and no scheme of the enemy can snatch you from that relationship. I pray your son will know this unshakeable identity. If he belongs to Christ, he is not defined by past wounds or by anyone else’s words, he is defined by the voice from heaven that says, “This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.” That love is not like David’s broken love for Absalom, which came too late to heal rebellion; God’s love is present, strong, and able to heal even the deepest emotional scars.

Healing from past hurts often takes longer than we wish, just like a gradual restoration of health. Not all healing is instantaneous, but it is no less divine. God designed our bodies and minds with processes of renewal, and I pray that your son experiences a safe, steady weight loss that flows from wholeness, not frantic effort, that his physical health aligns with the healing of the inner wounds that may have driven unhealthy patterns. Those emotional cuts go deep, sometimes deeper than physical pain, but Jesus, the Son of David, came to bind up the brokenhearted. He can touch the memories that still bleed and bring a quiet, thorough mending.

So we stand against every curse and declare it causeless. We entrust your son to the One who knows how to heal both body and soul in His perfect timing. Let him hear the Father saying, “What, my son? You are the son of my vows.” The Lord is not a witch doctor who can be paid to harm you; He is the Redeemer who puts His name on you. Trust in Him, and you will be safe, safe from the snares, safe from the destruction, safe from the lingering power of old accusations. Let this be the season where curses end and the quiet voice of restoration begins.
