We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance and healing. Father God, we declare that the blood of Jesus Christ, Your Son, is more powerful than any curse, spell, or dark force that may have been spoken or enacted against ### and her son. In the mighty name of Jesus, we break every chain, renounce every evil word, and cancel every assignment of the enemy against their lives. "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13 WEB). We stand on this truth and command every curse to be nullified and rendered powerless now, in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we also bring ###’s son before You, asking for Your divine intervention in his physical health. We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and grace. Guide him to make choices that honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Strengthen his discipline, renew his mind, and surround him with godly influences that encourage wholesome living. We also ask for deep emotional healing from past hurts, wounds that may have contributed to struggles with self-worth, comfort-seeking behaviors, or unhealthy habits. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB). Pour out Your comfort, Lord, and replace pain with Your peace.

Father, we must address the spiritual foundation of this request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You and the authority to break curses or claim healing. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). If ### or her son have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray they would do so today. Salvation is the first step to true deliverance and lasting freedom. If they have already accepted Christ, we ask that You deepen their faith and remind them of the victory they have in Him.

We rebuke any spirit of heaviness, shame, or bondage that may be affecting ###’s son. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that he may have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that abundance, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, over his life. We also encourage him to seek godly counsel, whether through prayer, Scripture, or trusted believers, to walk in the freedom Christ has already won for him.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will for ### and her son. May they experience Your love in tangible ways and grow closer to You each day. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We are joining you in prayer for your son, and for you as his mom. It's clear that you love him deeply and are fighting for his wholeness, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. That kind of steadfast love is a powerful thing.

When we ask for deliverance from curses and healing from past hurts, one of the most ground-level ways we've seen God work is through the door of forgiveness. Not as a quick fix or a way to minimize the real pain your son has suffered, but as a way of handing the whole tangled mess over to Jesus, the only one who can carry it and bring real healing. If your son is open to it, walking through a gentle process of forgiving those who hurt him can be a concrete step toward the freedom you're asking for. This isn't about pretending things weren't terrible or letting anyone off the hook; it's about refusing to let those old wounds keep their grip on his heart any longer.

If he hasn't spoken to a doctor about the weight concern, we'd gently encourage that alongside prayer. A wise physician can help him pursue health safely and rule out any underlying issues, which itself can be part of God's provision.

We are praying for him right now, and for you too.

Jesus, we lift up this son to you. You see the burdens he carries, the words spoken against him, the hurts he's tried to bury, and the struggle in his body. We ask you to silence every curse and false word, breaking their power right now. Gently tend to the wounded places in his memory and his heart. Grant him the courage to forgive and the grace to release what he was never meant to carry. Give him steady patience as he pursues health, and surround him with people who will walk that road with him. And for this mom, grant her peace and deep trust as she entrusts her son to your faithful hands. Amen.

The curse that rightfully hung over every sinner was laid upon Christ Jesus, who was made a curse for us, that we might be redeemed. All other curses, whether spoken in malice or born of superstition, are swallowed up in that mighty deliverance. If the Son has set you free, you are free indeed. No enchantment, no whispered hex, no generational bondage can stand before the cross. Look to the Lamb slain and find that every curse is ended by His blood.

For the son, bring him often to the well of family prayer, mention him by name before the throne, for there is healing there. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Jesus is full of virtue for body and soul alike. Past hurts fester when we brood on them, but when we look to the Crucified One, His wounds become our healing. Pardon and healing are one gift from the same pierced hand. As for the body’s burden, remember that our frame is the Lord’s, and He will grant wisdom for its care. Sickness often drives us to the Great Physician, and loss of fleshly ease may be gain in disguise. Yet trust not in diet alone but in the One who feeds us with the bread of life. He who brought Israel forth with silver and gold will also bring your son forth from this trial, lacking no good thing.

Let your conduct be not of fear but of declaration. Cry out with Wycliffe, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord!” For every deliverance, from curse, from hurt, from the pit, is a stanza in the song of free grace. And when the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, the inhabitant shall not say, “I am sick,” for the joy of pardon swallows up the sorrow of the past.

Take great care that you are not deceived in asking for curses to simply vanish like a morning mist. It is not enough to seek deliverance from hardship only; you must cultivate the soil of virtue while the rock is being broken. For what if this son is freed from a word spoken against him, yet remains soft and unmanly in his habits? What if the weight is lost safely, yet he is remiss and careless about the hearing of God's word? No one part is sufficient for salvation. A careful hearing, a continual recollection of divine things, fortitude, and contempt for all worldly attachments are all required. Do not fix your mind solely on the lifting of a curse or the shedding of pounds, as if those were the final victory.

You ask for him to lose weight safely and for healing from past hurts. This is good, but understand that the real burden to be lost is the crushing weight of wrong desire and the softness that darkens the mind. Wealth and poverty of body are both nothing; to be a slave to comfort, to the belly, or to the memory of old wrongs, is what casts one out of true freedom and makes you a captive. The gain I speak of is established by deliverance from these very things. Why marvel if some enchanter has pronounced a word? The devil may wish to injure, but if you suffer wrong and remain thankful, the loss becomes gain. You are not injured, but even benefited by the enemy’s malice.

But here is where you must look to the teacher only. You are a hearer of the word; act like one. It is absurd to wrestle by the opinion of the multitude. When you heal, you are to make no display. So let this son not seek merely the display of a transformed body or a public declaration that all ill-will against him is broken. Seek the hidden medicine. If the soul chooses to mortify its unruly passions, it possesses absolute power over the body. It is a depraved will, not the flesh, that kindles the fire of lust and gluttony. The past hurts, the bitter words of others, if you hold onto the wrath and the memory of them, you feed a fire and then blame the fire for burning. The blame attaches not to the instrument, but to the wicked will that refuses to let it go.

Has he been wronged? Then he has the power to receive as great a reward as if he had voluntarily cast his riches away. We admire the one who thankfully suffers wrongs more than the one who gives spontaneously. If you will say these words of thankfulness for the trial, you will receive many times as much as what was taken. From the fear of God, has he not blasphemed? Has he not run to diviners to counter the curses of men? Suffering wrong, can he be thankful? If so, he is already like one who despises all worldly security, for he could not do this unless he had already begun to despise it. Let him not look for a mere word of deliverance that abandons him to comfort; rather, let him cling to the Deliverer, so that even if the trial remains, he is not lost. For Christ the Bridegroom of the Church is not meager in His gifts; He gave the keys of the kingdom to a mortal man and declared the Church stronger than heaven. Can He not guard a single soul and a single body that entrusts itself to His regimen? Only let your son not start away of his own will, and He will in nowise cast out.

You have asked for deliverance from curses spoken against you and your son, for his safe weight loss, and for healing from past hurts. Let me encourage you with what Scripture makes clear: any curse that does not have a just cause will not land. The proverb says a bird flitting needlessly will not settle, so a curse without reason will not come to rest. That does not mean the words of others cannot wound. Spoken cruelties can cut deeply, and those emotional blows often take far longer to heal than a physical injury. But the power behind them is broken when we place our trust in the Lord. He is our safety.

At Mount Ebal, the curses were cried out for breaking God’s covenant. The law threatened terrible things for disobedience, and the people had to cry “Amen” to their own judgment. Yet the good news is that Christ became a curse for us, redeeming us from every threat of the law. His precious blood has delivered us from the power of darkness and sin. If you are trusting in Jesus, no curse uttered by human lips has authority over your life. He breaks the chains that bind, and He brings us out of the shadow of death.

The deeper issue may be the past hurts you mentioned. Job cried out in the agony of his losses, wishing he had never been born. He was stuck in the horror of days gone by, tormenting himself with what could not be changed. That is a heavy weight to carry. David, after his terrible sin, found that the way back begins with honesty. He wrote, “I acknowledged my transgressions,” and that confession brought cleansing. When people we trusted have betrayed us, their words smooth as butter but with war in their hearts, the hurt is real. Yet we must guard against the desire to take vengeance. Healing comes as we pour out the pain before God, letting Him deal with the injustice. He is faithful to forgive our own wrongs and to heal the brokenness others have left.

For your son’s health, remember that God brought Israel from the east, west, north, and south, healing them from incurable diseases. Like the ten lepers who cried out for mercy, we can call on Him to deliver us from distress and bring physical restoration. Let your prayer be for wisdom, discipline, and safe progress. The same Lord who sets the lonely in families can grant your son the strength to take steps toward a healthier life. Turn this concern over to God, who cares for him more than you do.

Bring every fear about curses, every scar from the past, and every worry about his body to the feet of Jesus. He hears. He redeems. He heals. Stand on this assurance: the Son has set you free, and you are free indeed.
