We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance and healing. Father God, we stand in the authority of Your Son, Jesus Christ, knowing that it is only through His name that we have power over every curse, every chain, and every scheme of the enemy. The Bible declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" Lord, we rebuke every curse spoken, generational, or sent against ### and her son in the mighty name of Jesus. We break their power now by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up ###'s son before You, asking for Your divine intervention in his physical health. Father, we know that Your word says in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." We pray for safe and steady weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and grace. Strengthen his body, renew his mind, and give him discipline rooted in love, not legalism. Help him to see himself as You see him, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
Lord, we also bring before You the deep wounds of past hurts. The enemy seeks to keep him bound in pain, but You came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We ask that You heal every broken place, every memory that brings sorrow, and every lie that has taken root in his heart. Replace bitterness with Your peace, shame with Your love, and fear with Your perfect trust. Your word says in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Do this work in him, Lord, and let him walk in the freedom that only You can give.
We must also address the spiritual foundation of this request. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If ### or her son have not surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray that they would come to know Him as Lord and Savior. Without Christ, there is no true deliverance, no lasting healing, and no victory over the enemy’s schemes. We urge them to confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
Father, we also rebuke any involvement in practices that open doors to curses, such as divination, witchcraft, or ungodly soul ties. Your word is clear in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 that these things are an abomination to You. If there has been any participation in such things, we pray for repentance and a turning away from all that is not of You. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit.
We declare over ### and her son that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We speak life, health, and wholeness over every area of their lives. May they walk in the fullness of Your blessings, free from every curse, and filled with Your peace. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

The curse can have no power over you or your son, for Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. The very thunder of Mount Ebal is silenced by the blood of the Lamb. Look to the Crucified One, and every malediction is broken; the prisoner is set free, the pit cannot hold him, for the Lord declares, “I have found a ransom.” He has delivered us from the power of darkness, no accusing voice can cling to those hidden in His wounds.
As for your son’s healing from past hurts and his desire to shed weight safely, remember that the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Jesus Christ is full of virtue to mend broken hearts and restore health. Past sorrows that haunt the memory, these are the reproach of your widowhood, yet the Lord says, “You shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.” Pardon and healing are one gift; the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings. Let him bask in that light.
And this burden of the flesh, look upon it as a chastening from a Father’s love, not in anger but from His dear covenant love. Sickness has brought me health, and loss has conferred gain; so too may this struggle be the plough that breaks up the fallow ground of his soul. Seek sanctification from the same Lord who justifies. Deliverance from the power of sin, even those excesses that trouble the body, is as much a work of grace as the pardon of it. Cry to Him for temperance, for strength to treat the body as a temple. He deals in weight and measure, and will not pour out a drop too little or too much of discipline. The Comforter will apply the healing leaves that change the lifeblood and make the nature other than it was before.
After this deliverance, you shall not die but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The brook Jabbok may be crossed with fear, but on the other side, the Esau of your dread will fall on your neck and kiss you. The Lord who brought Israel forth with silver and gold, leaving none feeble among their tribes, will also bring you and your son forth, complete in His salvation. Trust Him now; the hour of deliverance has struck.

The curses you dread have no more hold on you than the Egyptians had upon Israel after the Red Sea closed. For Christ became a curse for us, exchanging the curse of the Law for the curse of the tree, and by that exchange He set every believer free. No spell, no ill wish, no ancestral malediction can stand where the Name of Jesus reigns. But do not suppose that bare deliverance is enough; you must also take care that the ground of your heart is cleansed, lest the adversary regain entrance. Continual hearing of the word, unmanly softness put to death, and contempt of worldly things, these cultivate the soil of the soul so that the seed of grace bears lasting fruit.
For your son, I shall indeed pray: that his body be lightened safely and the wounds of his past be healed. Yet he must grasp that this affliction, too, can become a servant of his salvation. The body’s discipline and the soul’s scars, when given to God, work a far more exceeding weight of glory. Let him not seek comfort merely in the removal of pain, but in the cleansing of what causes it. I have said before: He did not only deliver us, but made us clean, sanctified, and justified, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. That same Spirit will help your son turn from whatever secret gluttony or imagined consolation feeds his excess and keeps old hurts suppurating. The weight of those words was heavy, and the people responded, "Amen," acknowledging the consequence of sin. But the good news is that Jesus stepped into that place of curse for us. He bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows. So when we come to Him, any curse that has operated against us can be ended, not because we are innocent, but because His sacrifice broke its power. I pray right now that every curse spoken or unspoken against you and your son is silenced and annulled through the finished work of Christ. May you both walk in the freedom He purchased.
